Your eyes grow wide. Whipping your head around, you see Minho standing just behind you looking over your shoulder. You scoff and turn back towards the kitchen counter where you tossed your phone to after the sudden appearance of your new roommate.
"And you know that reading people's texts over their shoulder is an invasion of privacy, right?"
Minho only gives you a small smirk before walking towards your couch. He reaches for the TV remote as he sits, turning it on and scrolls through a list of romcoms on Netflix. That's something you and he discovered a couple days ago, finding out that he can touch and hold things if he concentrates enough.
You've only known the guy for a couple of days and he has already made himself well acquainted with you and your living conditions. Personal space doesn't seem to exists now with him around, but somehow, you don't mind much. At least he's considerate enough not to go into your bedroom while you're changing. Or into the bathroom when you're in there.
"Don't you have your own friends to loom over?" you ask with a huff of laughter as you join him on the opposite side of the couch.
Minho's eyes flit over to you for a moment before returning his gaze to the screen. If you hadn't been looking, you would have missed the way his eyes seemed to dim at the mention of his friends.
Since making his appearance, he hasn't said one thing about what happened to him. Only telling you the most important thing, his name. It's been a topic that you have to actively avoid mentioning in case it's a really sensitive subject. Does he even know what happened? Has he gone to see how his family is doing?
You shake your head as discreetly as possible to focus back on the present. Minho's lips have turned up into an—almost—sad smile as he continues to find the perfect movie.
"Yeah, but I'm already having more fun bothering you."
"Whatever. Found a movie yet?"
He hums, clicking on one you know you've seen a handful of times. Though, before the movie can really begin, a knock on your front door rings out through the apartment.
"Are you expecting anyone?" Minho asks.
"No." You frown slightly. "Although I wouldn't be surprised if it's any of my friends. They like to show up whenever they please."
Minho pauses the movie as you stand up from the couch. You watch as he quickly makes his way out of the living room, not sure where he ends up as you turn your focus to the door.
The moment you swing open the door, a hand holding an obscured object is shoved towards you. Your eyes widen at the sudden movement, taking a step back, and clutching the doorknob until your knuckles turn white. Your breath catches in your throat.
"Oop, sorry."
You glance up to where the voice comes from. A man—looks to be around the same age as you, you determine—offers you a sheepish smile accompanied with a quiet titter. You take the split second of slight embarrasement he unintentionally allows himself to wallow in to look down at the object in his hand. Instead of the weapon you originally thought it was, it is a small simple gift basket, tied with a red bow.
"Oh, wait!" he gasps. "You're Jisung's friend, yeah?"
Your eyebrows furrow. How did this stranger know that? Who even is this guy?
"I've seen you 'round campus with him here and there. He's my music partner."
"And you are?"
You're words come out a lot more aggressive than you thought. Though, the guy doesn't seem bothered by the fact. Rather, his smile grows into a warm grin, teeth and cute dimples on display.
"Chan! I'm Chan, or Chris. A lot of my friend call me Chis. You might also know me by CB97 for mu music."
"Ah!" You snap. "Yeah, Ji talks a lot about you. You're friends with that guy who died, right? The dancer?"
A flash of sadness crosses his face at the mention of his friend. But it's gone before you can even blink.
"Yeah. That's actually why I'm here. This was his apartment before you moved in. I'm looking for something he borrowed from me and it might've been left behind. Would you mind letting me in to look for it?"
If it were any other random guy, you'd be much more hesitant to let him in. But since he knows your best friend, and if the kind smile on his face tells you anything about his character, you are more than happy to help him out.
"Yeah!" You step back to open the door a little wider, smiling in return. "Come on in!"
It takes a moment for his words to sink in. His friend lived in this apartment before you. Wasn't Minho the one who lived here previously? Or at least according to the way he spoke when you first encountered him made it seem so. It's possible that he could have been here a lot longer and he didn't know himself.
As he steps into your home, his eyes flutter around the room. You watch as he hums, taking note of all the differences between your decorating and his friend's.
"I'm not sure where his stuff might be, so feel free to look anywhere," you say as he shuffles through your living room. "Would you like a drink or something to eat?"
Chan offers you a small smile.
"You don't need to do that. I'll be out of your hair as soon as possible."
You shake your head, making your way to the kitchen area. Minho wouldn't mind the wait, right?
"I don't mind! A friend of a friend is a friend of mine. You're my guest, and I want to make you welcome! Plus, Jisung would probably nag me for not treating his hyung properly," you laugh.
"Oh," he chuckles, too. "Well, thank you. Is it alright if I check the bedroom as well? It's possible that it could have been missed in the closet or something."
"Yeah, go right ahead. My home is open for you to find your friend's things. I know I would want to find everything if I were in your position."
Chan gives you a smile before walking through your living room, slowly making his way through your apartment. You open up your fridge once you figure he poses no threat to you to find something to offer him. Since moving in, you haven't has the chance to really go grocery shopping, only stopping by the convenience store on your way home from classes for the necessary things.
A buzz in your pocket takes your focus from your mostly empty fridge. You fish out your phone, figuring it might be one of the boys trying to get you to do something with them. You know you shouldn't avoid them, like Minho was saying, but how would you explain the sudden addition in your life? Now that you've brushed them off more in a week than what you've done since starting college, you're sure that they'd all ask you neverending questions until you spill the secret.
You press the power button to look at the message. You stare at the notification in confusion. It's definitely not one of the boys, unless they're trying to pull a prank on you. Unlocking your phone, your fingers quickly press to open your messages.
You look up to find Chan heading straight towards your bedroom. Perfect timing, you think before clearing your throat.
"Wait!"
Chan turns to look at you in surprise. Your sudden outburst was quite loud. You wouldn't be surprised if your neighbors heard you. Your walls are thicker than what you thought they'd be, but you still are blessed with the unholy sounds of your neighbor's actions every couple nights.
"I just remembered that it's a mess in there." You make your way to your door, pressing your back against it to block his path. You give him a sheepish smile. "Give me a moment."
As quickly as possible, you throw open your door wide enough to sneak inside. You find Minho sitting on your bed, a small frown falling on his face.
"What are you doing in here?" you whisper harshly.
"This was the easiest place to go. How was I supposed to know that you'd let a stranger waltz right in here willingly?"
"That doesn't matter right now," you mutter. "You need to hide somewhere."
Minho looks at you like your crazy when you point to under your bed. You don't pay attention to his nagging as he reluctantly agrees, finding it a better place to hide than your closet—somewhere you both know Chan would look. When you determine that Minho is hidden as much as possible, you reach out for the doorknob and twist it.
Chan is sat on your couch, scrolling through his phone. He glances up at the sound of your sqeaky door. You motion for him to come back over before moving to stand at the side of your bed to try to obscure the view of Minho as much as possible.
"You haven't happened to see any stray boxes when you moved in, yeah?" Chan asks as he turns towards your closet.
"No." You shake your head even though he isn't looking at you. "The entire place was cleaned out. Well, except for a few wall decorations."
Chan hums. Once he's satisfied with you answer and seeing for himself that there is nothing but your own things tucked away in your closet, he turns to face you.
"I appreciate your help." He smiles sadly. "I should probably get going."
"Of course! Anything to help out," you reply.
You walk him back to your front door. He slips on his shoes and reaches out to the doorknob. Chan hesitates before turning to face you once again.
"Hey, if you somehow find something of his, could you let me know? There's a couple things that I'm really looking for and Minho's parents haven't seen them."
Minho. So the two do have a connection.
"For sure. I'll let Jisung know if I do."
The smile that you give Chan relaxes his shoulders a bit. You can tell he's still holding onto the hope of having the missing pieces of his friend with him. And you'll do anything to make sure that he—and Minho's other friends—get the closure they need.
Chan, with one final raise of the corners of his lips, twists the doorknob, opens the door, and steps back out into the hallway of your apartment building. He lifts his hand to wave as he takes his leave. You gently close the door behind him.
"So, back to movie night?"
Minho's voice startles you. You turn back around to see a shit eating grin on his face as he tilts his head towards the TV, eager to get back to where you left off.
"Actually..." Minho's smile falls ever so slightly at your words. "You have some explaining to do."

Felix pulled down your hat lightly, covering your view from the camera flashes. "Are you ready to go, love", Felix asked as he held your hand. You hesitantly nodded your head with Felix only responding with a kiss on your hand. "It'll be okay, just stay close to me", he told you as you both walked out of the terminal into the crowd of paparazzi, fan sites and fans who came to see you guys the moment you landed in Australia.
The staff followed along closely, helped to push yours and felix's luggage that was on the trolley. Felix waved to some fans while you held tightly onto his other hand, to prevent yourself from getting lost into the crowd. Momentarily stopping to pose for the camera.
The moment you guys reached outside to the parking lot, you were met with 3 familiar faces. Olivia immediately yelled your name in excitement. Rachel waved from behind Olivia "Y/N! OH MY GOD! HI!~ I MISS YOU!~", Felix chuckled, letting your hand go so you could hug his sisters who you hadn't seen for 4 years. Felix stood behind you while you were still hugging Olivia, removing your hat so you could see better. You turned to look at his mom who opened her arms again after hugging her son.
"Hello aunty, how are you?", you hugged her in return. "I'm fine dear, how has the business been there", she questioned referring to your newly opened bakery shop. "Oh business has been good. I'm glad many people were open to trying fusion bakery goods", you smiled. Felix's left arm wrapped around your waist while his other hand combed through your messy hair. A soft smile made its way on his mom's lips as she watched her son acting softly around you. She was really looking forward to having you as her daughter in law soon.
You sat beside Felix in the middle of the family car. Rachel was driving while Felix's mom sat beside her in the front passenger seat. Olivia sat at the back of the family car, opting to take a nap to recharge after having to leave school early to meet the two of you at the airport. His mom explained that their dad couldn't join because he is outstation for an important convention.
Felix leaned his head against your shoulder. "What are you watching?", Felix kissed your cheek lightly before turning to look at your phone screen. "Hmm just some new drama that came out, do you want to watch together?". Felix shook his head. "I want to take a nap". He wrapped his left arm around your waist pulling you closer to his chest. "Go and sleep then, I'll wake you up when we reach back home". Felix mumbled out a thanks, closing his eyes and slowly falling into a slumber.

The first day of being in Australia, you two rested a bit at his childhood home before heading out for early dinner with the others. So that you guys could get a good rest before going to the cabin that Felix rented tomorrow.

"Good morning everyone~ I'm with y/n right now", Felix spoke to the vlogging camera in his hand. In the camera view, Felix was able to see your head slightly peeking. He tilts his camera to look down at you. You were leaning against his chest while watching some shows on the tv. "baby say hi". You looked up at the camera, waving before looking back at the tv. He kissed the side of your temple before resting his cheek against it.
"Currently, we are waiting for Olivia to get ready, she takes so long to get prepared", he rolled his eyes dramatically. You chuckled at Felix's statement. "Anyways, today we are going to the cabin Airbnb", Felix explained which you let out a hmm in agreement. "Y/n said she wants to see wildlife in the forest, probably big spiders which I doubt she would enjoy". You glared back at him which made him chuckled. He knew how much you hate insects.
"Sorry sorry, I was just joking babe, I'll protect you from the spiders", he grinned.
Just then Olivia enters the living room. "I'M READY! LET'S GO!", She yelled loudly which made Rachel slap her head playfully. Felix and you burst into a fit of laughter. Felix looked back at the camera. "Okay, I'll record again once we reach there, bye bye~ y/n faster say bye~", felix tickles your sides. "Bye~ I'm going to throw this boy in the dustbin", you teased which made Felix whine. "YAH"
Rachel held the vlog camera, pointing it towards you and Olivia talking in the kitchen while helping his mom to prepare ingredients for the bbq. "Look look guys, it's my annoying brother", she whispered into the camera, pointing to Felix who just entered the kitchen, oblivious to being recorded by his own sister. "He is being clingy again, I wonder how y/n cope with him", she added on before laughing softly.

Felix hugged you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder as you continued talking to Olivia about things she had been into lately. Felix was getting bored because you weren't paying attention to him. "y/n,y/n,y/n~", Felix kept calling your name. Olivia rolled her eyes at Felix before excusing herself to help her mom carry the stuff out of the cabin to the bbq pit by the porch.

you dried your hand on the clean towel before turning to look at Felix. "Hm? What's wrong?", you asked him. He pouted before walking closer to hug you again. "I miss you", he mumbled. You looked at him amused. "I only stepped away for like 10 minutes", chuckling at his behavior. "Let's go take some photos while mom is cooking", he suggested. "Isn't it chilling out there?", felix only grinned back. "I'll keep you warm". You rolled your eyes playfully at him before agreeing.
Rachel and Olivia burst into laughter as they recorded you and Felix bickering in the open field. "YAH! LEE FELIX! IT'S SO COLD!, YOUR IDEA IS SO DUMB!". You smacked his head lightly before immediately crossing your arm, in an attempt to keep yourself warm. You were starting to regret agreeing to Felix's idea to go out in only long sleeves.
Felix laughed before hugging you. He mumbled apologies into your ear before leaving a peck on your lip. In return, you heard Rachel and Olivia pretending to vomit after witnessing their brother kissing you. Felix gasped, looking at them in disbelief. "I'm telling mom~", he acted like a little child, immediately walking off back to the cabin, leaving you three behind. You looked at Rachel then Olivia before you three burst into a fit of laughter.
You guys played some board games and caught up on each other's lives. Olivia even suggested that you should check out some local bakery shops in Australia before you go back to Korea with felix. You immediately turned to look at felix who agreed.

Felix excused himself from the three of you, saying that he wants to check his mom who was outside on the porch.
"Hey mom", Felix smiled softly as he stood beside his mom who was grilling some meat. His mom turned besides gesturing felix to come closer.
"When are you going to do the proposal?", his mom whispered. Felix smiled widely, it was an exciting topic for him. "Really soon, I was thinking next month since her birthday is really close", Felix explained. His mother patted his back lightly. "I'm so happy for you. I'm sure she'll say yes. Anyways where's the ring? You said you brought it already", his mom raised her eyebrows. Felix grinned.
"It's in the drawer in my studio. Y/n doesn't go there so she doesn't know a thing. Oh, you wanna see a picture of the ring?", his mom immediately nodded her head. Felix smiled widely as he listens to his mom compliment the engagement ring that he had gotten for you.
After everyone showered, it was time for the lights off. Olivia and Rachel shared one room. His mom had a room to herself meanwhile you and Felix shared one room together.

The last 2months have been stressful. The lack of sleep and food was now getting to you. To top off a bad two months you had to work with changbin. You begged JYP to let you work with anyone else. You even begged your best friend Han. They all said the same thing “he’s not a bad guy….give him a chance to prove himself.”
Here you were starving, failing to consecrate on the job you had been assigned.
“I’m just going to grab something to eat,” you say as your stomach rumbles.
“Of course you are,” Changbin whispered. Changbin was hard to work with on a good day when he was stressed.
“God…. I can’t stand you,” you say under your breath as you work on the song assigned to you.
“What's your problem Y/N” Changbin turned his chair around and snarled at you.
“YOU…..You Know your not the only one who works hard, Changbin” you packed your bags up and swung them over your shoulder.
You stormed off. You felt under-appreciated and overworked. It wasn’t meant to be like this at all. It was always your dream to be a producer, so when JYP offered you your first real job producing, you were ecstatic.
However, now you were crying in the female bathroom. You had to pull yourself together. You had already been gone for too long. You rolled up some toilet paper and wiped your eyes. “Come one, Y/N…. What is wrong with you? He is just some guy,” you sobbed.
CHANGBIN POV
“Shit…..why do I always react like that” Y/N always had a smile from day one. Sure she talked a lot and got distracted easily, but she was the first one in every morning and often the last to leave. “God… your a dick” I started to bang my head on the table. “Shit, I’ve got to apologise” I stood up and glanced over at the chair she had been sitting in.
“Her coat… she must be freezing” It was in the middle of winter. How could she leave without her coat?
I know Y/N doesn’t like working with me but am I really this horrible that she leaves without a coat on the coldest day of the year.
I walked out to search the halls for her to apologise for my behavior. I often would lash out at her because I was stressed and overwhelmed.
How could I do this to her, she was the best assistant producer in jyp, and I crushed her spirit.
Y/N POV
“Okay…..I’m good” you splashed your face with water and proceeded to exit the bathroom to walk down to the cafeteria.
As you exit the bathroom, you run into three trainees. As you walked past, you could hear them whispering and giggling. You know it was towards you. Who else would they be pointing and giggling about?
You walk with your head down, entering the room you decide you grab changbin some lunch as well. “Maybe if I get him some food.”
CHANGBIN POV
I walked straight to the cafeteria, hoping she wouldn’t be so stupid to leave the building. I scan the room and don’t see her “shit……where is she….idiot, she’s going to catch a cold out there” I walk towards the exit, searching as I go along. I see a bunch of trainees giggling to themselves.
“Omg, it’s changbin,” one of them calls out.
“fantastic….I don’t have time for this,” I mumble.
“What are you doing changbin want to eat lunch with us” god, why is she flirting with me? Can’t she see I’m not interested in her? I’m searching for someone.
“Have you seen Y/N?” I asked in a rush. One of the girls pointed to the front door?
“She went that way,” the dark-haired girl pointed.
“Thanks,” I say as I jog outside “holy hell,” I can now see my breath. “I’ll search for a little, then I’ll have to get back to it,” I repeated.

Time skip
I was freezing. I went to her favorite sushi place, coffee shop, even the sub shop, nothing. I was starting to think those trainees were lying to me.
I walked back to the building once inside. I walked to the dance rooms, and as I got close to opening the training room where they were still giggling, I could hear.
“How could she ever think he would like a fat pig like her” I didn’t know who they were talking about at this time I stayed to listen.
“That’s the third time this week she’s cried in the bathroom pathetic,” one of the other girls added.
“What’s her name anyway” the last girl questions and laughs.
“Y/N” once I heard that name, my blood started to boil. How dare they call her a “fat pig and pathetic”? She was far from it. I had never seen such beauty. Her hair was brown and curly, skin fair and flawless, and eyes as blue as the ocean. Y/N was kind and far from pathetic. I was the pathetic one. I took my stress out on her. She has worked so hard to prove herself to me, and I ask for more.
Suddenly I find myself opening the door. “Changbin, you decided to join us after all” she sounds like the one who called Y/N a fat pig.
“Sorry to interrupt, Ladies, but who are you talking about?” I tried to remain calm.
“Oh uhhhh,” they were getting nervous.
“Just so you know….Y/N is the best assistant producer in JYP….she isn’t pathetic she has worked hard for me and continues to amaze me every day…. It would help if you girls took note because she is beautiful inside and out….oh, and you girls may be pretty; however, you are ugly inside” I say my piece and feel proud of myself. I decided to go back to the studio to see if Y/N had returned.
Y/N POV
You walked in, and changbin was gone “wonder where he’s gone. It’s freezing outside,” you say, and put the hot Ramen down on the table.
“I’ll eat, then I’ll go look for him,” you said as you broke apart your wooden chopsticks.
About 30 minutes go by, and you are about to finish your meal, went the door opens suddenly.
“Changbin… were did you go?” He looks over to the table you got up from and back to you.
“I got you some pork ramen,” you said, hesitating.
“You forgot your coat,” he said, holding it up.
“Oh, sorry, I only went down to the cafeteria” you laughed and stood up.
“Is it true you have cried in the bathroom three times this week?” he said sternly.
Your head dropped “oh, you heard about that” I was defeated. I had tried everything to get this guy to like me.
“Was it because of me” he softened his tone and placed your coat on the chair.
You start to cry. You didn’t want to; however, you could hold back the stress anymore. Changbin walks up to you and pulls your head into his warm chest.
“Those girls are probably laughing at me right…..there the ones who told you, aren’t they?” He just placed a kiss on top of your head and rested his cheek in its spot.
You look up at him, tears still falling from your face. “You look so beautiful right now,” he smiled, wiping the tears off your cheek.
“Please, you probably think I’m pathetic,” you say, pulling away.
“Not at all… I think you are the best assistant producer in JPY….I’m lucky to have you” he grabbed your hand and caressed it with his thumb.
“Really?…..you don’t hate me” You became watery again at his compliment.
Changbin said nothing. He just grabbed the side of your face with one hand and kissed you. He kissed you as no other boy had. His lips were so soft he pulled away slightly to readjust his position, only to deepen the kiss some more. You grabbed the stomach area of his jumper. You worked your mouth against him; you could feel the heat rise in your cheeks.
Changbin pulled away “wow,” he said quietly with his eyes still closed.
You pulled his hoodie in and kissed him once more before he even had time to open his eyes again.
He leads you back towards the sofa.” Hate you….I think I’m in love with you,” he said, trying to kiss you while talking. He lays you down on the couch, his body hovers over yours, but just as your lips are about to touch, his stomach again rumbles.
“You must be hungry,” you say to him softly.
“Your right. I should eat,” he said, beginning to kiss you.
Shove his shoulders a little “go eat changbin,” you grin.
“To be continued,” he wondered over to the ramen and sat down.
