Oh the sweet sensation of aching muscles. Accomplishment personified in form. Regenerative promise of challenges to come. Success.

Off running for about two months? Maybe more. IT band issues to blame. Off working out since the week after thanksgiving. Recovered from a back and knee injury having moved Dec. 15th... back on the treadmill yesterday. 5+30 min strong n steady. Slow comeback in store. No more street running for a while but who knows, if I build back the endurance on the tread, I'll maybe be able to do 20% that time outside w/o re injury.
Totally off schedule with diet and exercise due to having to move and between holidays- but glad to see the muscle I've put on is eating up the calories steadily and keeping me at weight. Hitting the gym 4x thanksgiving week helped too. Not gonna lie- I have gone in and done daily max's 3x last wk (maximum rep/weight for test release) but thats a 10 min thing, hardly a workout. Anyone traveling like I was- just go to a local gym and get a trial membership if you're with family, got to a hotel gym if not. #noexcuses Can't keep this up of course. Gotta get back on schedule next week after the move or my metabolism will adjust and slow down eventually. The good thing about this break- it resets any plateau possibilities. Still got a ways to go.
Noticed a peck ache the other day- but I haven't done chest in a bit... Realized while rolling n stretching for the IT band- been kinda planking too.
I.T. Band weary. Before legs today I want to use the treadmill. See if it aggravates the I.T. Band as much as street running. It shouldn't. Intervals or distance/ time? DT then intervals? We'll see I guess.
