My little personal headcanon is where Luke secretly sends letters of apology, but they never reach Aemond because they're intercepted by Otto or Alicent. I can just picture Alicent reading the letter, clutching it in her hands, mortified that this little bastard dares write to her son and ask for forgiveness. Because she's afraid Aemond will actually forgive Luke and that it will reignite the affection she once saw between them, so she tears the letter into hundreds of tiny pieces and then throws them into the fire. She can't allow them to reconcile. Their family has duties and goals that can't be compatible with their bond.

Just speculating.

I came across this fragment again (the audition for the role of little Luke). And I remembered that when I was watching season 1, I was confused and outraged by the unfairness of the whole "Jace and Luke are Aemond's bullies" discussion, as many have repeatedly pointed out that Aegon is Aemond's real bully, but that's not the point.

The show showed this scene of Aemond being bullied with a pig. Everyone acted like complete idiots. Aemond should have beaten everyone up then LOL. But the show didn't show Aegon and Aemond bullying Jace and Luke. I'll try to explain. We have Alicent hating Rhaenyra and wishing only the worst on her. She devalues ​​and mocks Rhaenyra in every way for the birth of Joffrey and for her proposal of marriage between their children. Criston, who also hates Rhaenyra and literally calls her a whore in a conversation with Alicent. Who's incapable of acting like an adult and talks crap in front of Harwin, earning a well-deserved punch in the face. We have Aegon, who clearly constantly bullies Aemond, judging by his conversation with Alicent, who demands he at least do it in private LOL. Mother of the year.

And now we have Aemond. Of course, he's the victim of bullying, especially by his brother. Ignored by his father. But he's his mother's son, who also takes advantage of him as the perfect and obedient son. But he's still a second son, so go and watch Aegon, whose upbringing I've completely screwed up and can barely control, but you, Aemond, don't you dare disobey me. Add to that the lack of a dragon, and you get an ambitious, intelligent, but suppressed child who harbors a lot of resentment, bitterness, and hatred. He almost hates Aegon, but he's his brother. Now there are Jace and Luke, bastards, whom his mother and everyone around them constantly speak of with contempt and hatred. Obviously, they're exalting themselves, because they're Targaryens, born without sin. Jace and Luke are filthy and unworthy, but that's the thing. They still have dragons LOL. And my personal point is that Aemond kept to himself, showing more detachment, arrogance, and even hatred toward Jace and Luke. And this fragment shows that. Little Luke, who feels hatred from Uncle Aemond, but doesn't understand why.

This would have made the conflict more multifaceted and the theme of bullying less straightforward than it is in the show. Because in the end, we only have one side of the bullying, directed solely at Aemond. Although there is also bullying directed at Jace, Luke, and Joffrey, as I wrote above, it's not as intense as with Aemond. And ultimately, due to the writers' obvious desire to evoke sympathy for Aemond, the Velaryon boys were cast aside and are forever considered the main evil by a certain portion of the fandom. And in S3, these same writers are trying their best to ruin Aemond in the eyes of the fandom, but they've failed LOL

This scene is truly such a sad one. I think Viserys's words reached deep into Aemond and Luke's souls. They both looked down, deep in thought. I think they were both thinking about how they wished they could change so much of the past and leave it all behind. Maybe finally take a step toward each other and talk about all the hurt and bitterness they held in their hearts. And move on.

A few random thoughts out loud (where I'm discussing everything only in the context of the show). There is something truly inexplicable about the way Jace and Luke (and Joffrey) are hated in the fandom because they are bastards. Literally for something they can't control or change about themselves. Like, what did they think the boys were supposed to do?!? Go back in time and demand their mother's egg reject Harwin's sperm and accept Laenor?!? Give up their rights and titles to people who pursue their own agendas, while they were officially recognized as his sons by Laenor himself?!? And recognized by the King himself. And I'm not even mentioning their own mother, who is literally a princess and future queen.

To me, it's as if I inherited an apartment bequeathed to me by my adoptive father, and by the law of the court (the king) it was recognized as mine, but then some rotten relatives (the green faction) came along and wanted the apartment for themselves, claiming I have no rights because I'm adopted, not a real daughter, and tried to take it away through slander, deception, and falsified documents.

I understand the comparison isn't entirely appropriate, since the show deals with the issue of inheriting titles and power, blah blah blah. But the gist is the same.

I understand the sympathy for TG and its characters (I have my own favorites there), but why pretend they had any right to the throne?! Or pretend that TG didn't do everything possible to deceive themselves into power and make Aegon king.

It's one thing to criticize Rhaenyra for having sons with Harwin. But it's quite another to touch on the children. This just makes you look stupid and vile. Sorry not sorry.

I think it was truly reckless and dangerous for her to give birth to them. And it would have been fine if she'd given birth to one son, but she gave birth to three! But I understand she still needed heirs. And Laenor agreed, given his situation, and it was an acceptable compromise for both of them. I also believe she loved and trusted Harwin. And I think she believed she would somehow escape the consequences because she was the future queen and her father, the King, would protect her and her sons one way or another. And so it was. And I don't blame her for that. She loved her sons and did everything she could for them. And I think if it weren't for the green faction, neither the lords nor the commoners would have cared whose children these were. And if anyone cared, then yes, they wouldn't risk opening their mouths because of Rhaenyra's status and the consequences they would face. But the green faction, of course, doesn't care when the crown itself and the opportunity to put their heir and their line at the helm are at stake. They DON'T CARE ABOUT JUSTICE.

They don't care that the crown and titles will go to bastards in the future from an ethical standpoint. Only from a standpoint of their own gain. They are literally the biggest hypocrites. There's no need to run and point fingers at Rhaenyra, and especially not at her children, when they had their own goals and plans to eliminate her from the very beginning, even before she had children. Otto is a vile mite who started all this shit. I felt sorry for young Alicent, but she turned out just like her father, so she can go fuck herself too. And no attempts to justify her in S3 will change my mind. Criston? Fuck you. I don't understand any sympathy for this character at all. He's literally a jerk. Reminding this fandom of Aegon and Aemond's screw-ups is pointless. Somehow, the rape of a girl, his vile behavior, and Aegon's generally unlikable personality are ignored, and all the emphasis is placed on his cuteness with the dragon. Does that somehow justify everything else? No. Like, I like him too, mostly the fanon version, of course, because Aegon is absolutely canon, which is not for me. But this fandom is astounding in its fervent hatred of Luke and Jace, literally for their origins. Or for the situation with Luke and Aemond, in which Luke was trying to protect his brother, and overall, it was an accident, not some deliberate move by a six-year-old to take away his uncle's eye Lmao

This fandom NEVER BLAMES AEGON. HE WILL NEVER BE PERSECUTED LIKE THIS, AND IF ANYONE TRYS TO TELL THE TRUTH, THEY'LL END UP BEING CALLED STUPID AND BORING, BECAUSE AEGON IS A COMPLEX CHARACTER. What kind of role would you like to see Harry in?

So… honestly, I don't have a specific role in mind 😅 It would be great to see him in more projects overall. So far, we only know about two: one a feature film, the other a short film.

Both seem to lean toward contemporary romance/melodrama. They're more aimed at a teen/young adult audience. It would probably be interesting to see him in a leading role. Is he capable of such a job?

Harry himself would love to play a villain, as actors usually do, where he could show off his acting range. Although, for me, a well-written character is already a success. He also talked about superhero films, DC in particular. I saw that he's being fan-cast as Nightwing. It would be a good career move for him. Right now, I'm far from those kinds of films, and not many of them are worthwhile. But there are exceptions, and Thunderbolts* was one of them.

I generally love the horror genre. The recent "Obsession" and "Backrooms" were simply amazing.

HBO is also known for hiring its actors from one project to another. And maybe Harry will get lucky and get another role in an HBO series.

I'm also looking forward to the Harry Potter series. And it was great to see Harry in it. I have no idea what role he'll be in, lol. I saw they were fancasting him as Regulus. Unlikely, but why not.

Interviewer: Do you lead with instinct as a performer, or does preparation and research play a bigger role in your process?

Bethany: For House of the Dragon, there was a source book. An entire history had already been written. So I read Fire & Blood and did as much research as I could. Once that's done, though, I become very instinct-led. I don't really plan performances. I trust that I've done the work, I've got the backstory in my head, I know who the character is, and then I let instinct take over.
