She’s no good. Those three words repeated themselves in Yusuke’s conscious. Endlessly. Painfully. These were the exact words a mother figure used to describe her very own daughter. Even if fostered.. what kind of heartless demon would say, let alone believe such garbage? Yusuke could not claim to know the girl very well– hell, he barely knew her for a whole day. But he understood one thing for a simple fact; She did not deserve such treatment.
Fist tightened for another swing, but was forced to stop before he was even given a chance to cock his arm back again. Gaze snapped to the girl that had called out to him. Her frame obviously tense and discomfort plastered upon her visage due to the the sight she had bared witnessed to. But before a single word could escape his lips, an object had been hurled passed him, colliding with Aiko’s shielding form. This only angered the delinquent further.
Yusuke charged at the elderly woman, despite Aiko taking hold of his hand. With the remaining free hand, Yusuke gripped the fabric of her clothing and pulled the old woman towards him. Although faced with a less that pleasing spectacle, Yusuke continued to glare before shouting into her face. “What the fuck is wrong with you, hag?! It’s one thing to be an ugly troll on the outside, but how the hell can you be uglier on the inside too?! You don’t deserve her as a daughter! You don’t deserve jack shit!” He released her, tossing the woman to the ground, creating another loud thud.
Turning on his heel, still hand-in-hand with Aiko, Yusuke lead the girl towards the door, twisting the knob and pulling in order to open the door, giving them access to freedom. Yet Yusuke halted in his tracks, taking a moment to turn his head over his shoulder for one final goodbye and walking off.
“.. But you do deserve one thing and that’s dying alone.”
Her ears fell deaf to her mother’s angry words afer Yusuke’s last comment. Aiko was amazed that he would do something like this for her. After countless years of her mother’s crude behavior she had almost began to believe she was worthless and that her mother’s words were true. But just like anyone else that would be going through her situation, she had that little bit of hope that it would all end. And it seems like that moment would be now. It seemed that any of her false hopes were right -- and she had a savior. Yusuke saved her from the one thing she couldn’t find strength to fight against, and was offering a home as well.
But again, she spoke no words when they exited the home. She had so many thoughts swimming through her mind. Would she come after them? What if something bad happens to Yusuke? What if she finds out where she is? She was worried to say the least, but also happy. Was this the right moment to cry? Maybe so. If they were sad or happy tears, she couldn’t tell. But with quivering arms, she dropped her bags to the cool ground, ungrasping his hand. She turned, arms wrapping around his neck in a bone crushing hug (or with the strength she had). “ . . . . Thank you. “ She felt like her actions and words were enough but she’d pay him back for his gratitude at some point.
She lingered for a moment, trying to cease her tears and emotions, before pulling away with the toothiest smile. She plucked her bags from beneath them, hosting them over her arms. Sniffling, she held her hand out once more. “ Lead the way, Yusuke! “
kamishiroed:
“ – Then I won’t change my mind about you. ”
“ B - But ... “ There’s a sigh of defeat. “ . . . okay. “

☆ “That’s a relief!” evidently, Kaneki wasn’t very keen on picking up on lies, so it was easy for him to believe the stranger. “Oh, I almost forgot! Um, my name is Kaneki Ken, by the way—!”
“ It’s nice to meet you, Kaneki. I’m Aiko Tanaka.” She rocked on her heels, trying to think of something to say. “ So you -- work around here? "
you guys can kick me in the butt 5x for not being on this blog
Sorry for not being here today! My mood was down in the dumps and I kinda spent a day outside by myself enjoying the weather and such. I just went hiking to clear my mind. Well, I'll get to replies tomorrow for sure
Yusuke did not respond nor did he intend to. Gaze merely narrowed into an icy glare aimed directly at the elderly woman. He was for all intent and purposes a brick wall, preventing her giving Aiko chase. There was no possible way for her to make her way passed him. If she so much as laid a finger on him, she would be laid out within a moments notice. Hands clenched by his sides, her disability the only reason he held back so much.
It was if on cue with his mental thoughts, the foster mother stood on her own two feet, towering over the delinquent. Narrowed eyes instantly widening in utter shock. She had been lying this entire time to Aiko..? It took a moment of processing, but the notion finally sunk in and… angered him more. However, instead of displaying that anger right away, Yusuke merely let loose with a hearty laugh. His laughter vibrated throughout the room for a moment before he managed to regain his composure.
“Oooh man. To think.. this whole time I didn’t punch you in the face because I thought you were disabled.” He managed to state in between bursts of chuckles. “Ooooh man. Lady, you’re about to look a lot more ugly.” With that, Yusuke cocked back his right fist before smashing said fist into the woman’s grotesque features, knocking her into the ground with an audible thud. “Listen lady, unless you want to actually be crippled, I suggest you just stay down. Aiko has a new home now. Deal with it.”
-- He laughed? His laughter had actually surprised her and had left her confused. The punch had her landing harshly onto her bottom with a grunt. She stayed down, a glare forming once more. “She’s no good, why would you want her?” Her daughter, though, had finished packing but heard the loud thump of something and came rushing to the doorway, having two bags. One was a backpack upon her shoulders and another seemed like a cosmetic bag. Chocolate hues widened, looking between the two. She gulped before looking at her friend. “Y - Yusuke, I . . . I finished packing.” There was obvious anxiety laced through her voice.
When she met the gaze of her mother, she flinched. She didn’t look pleased whatsoever. “Mother, I - I’m sorry, but -- “ Her mother cut her off with a mumble of ‘ shut up ‘. And so the girl did. Aiko had obviously not had known what had happened before she came back to the room but she took note of the swelling of her mother’s cheek. Yusuke had hit her and the girl was oddly pleased. “You’re going to leave me after I gave you clothes on your back and food to eat?” Aiko could only nod to her mom. That had caused an object to be thrown at her. Luckily it was small and Aiko had raised her arms in time to block it but that didn’t stop her from hissing in pain when it smacked into her limbs.
It was hard not to shake like a leaf in front of her mom. She wasn’t used to being able to actually leave. She was honestly scared out of her mind, with eyebrows knitted together and an obvious bead of sweat forming on her forehead. A slender hand reached out to grab Yusuke’s, trying to get him out of the room. “If you two are finished ---- can we leave?” She was trying her best not to plead, but she wanted to get away from her mother before something bad had happened.

holy fucK i wanted to add music to my tumblr but ya know that billy music player thingy that generates the code? nO MATTER HOW HARD I TRy it keeps buffering. I’ve tried what the site said when i see ‘endless buffering’ but nOPE. does anyone know how to get a code besides that?
“ You won’t change your mind ? ”
“No, I don’t think I will.”
Before the delinquent could berate the elderly woman, Aiko’s gentle touch caused him to step aside, giving her room to properly open the door. Yusuke’s body tensed, ready for the impending confrontation between her mother and himself. Originally, he had planned on simply clobbering the woman as vengeance. However, the latest news he received about her being handicapped made him a tad more hesitant in his course of actions.
Though once Yusuke was given permission to enter and had done so, what he witnessed caused him to cock his head back in shock. She was.. absolutely hideous! The exact opposite of her daughter. Aiko was not joking when she had informed him this woman was her foster mother. He had planned on telling the woman off right then and there, however, Aiko had interrupted him once again to whisper into his ear. Nodding in agreement, Yusuke remained with Aiko’s mother, trying as hard as he possibly could to refrain from punching her square in the face.
“Calm down, little goblin lady.” He growled in response to the elderly woman’s inquiry. “Aiko is gettin’ her stuff. She’s gonna be living with me for a while so you’re gonna have to get used to abusing yourself. I’d tell ya’ not to get up, but I don’t think you have much of a choice, now do ya’?” Arms crossed neatly over his chest as he blocked the path between Aiko and her mother.
“You little brat.” She spat, scooting closer to him. She wanted to get past him so she could go talk to Aiko. She didn’t know if she should keep up her act or not, she wasn’t sure how the teen in front of her would respond. “What makes you think I’ve done anything wrong to my daughter? I’ve just simply disciplined her, that’s all.” There was a shrug of the woman’s shoulders as she glared up at the boy.
She just couldn’t believe this delinquent was taking her away. She needed Aiko around. To do the little stuff she was too lazy to do of course. There was a sigh from the mother. She didn’t think she had a choice but to give away her secret. Aiko would more then likely be leaving, crippled or not, but as long as she could use her legs, maybe she could kick this kid out and tell Aiko he was just lying to her, getting her hopes up. Yes -- that should work. With a smirk, the woman pushed herself off the ground, standing a little bit taller then the other. “I’ll let you know a secret that girl shall never know, I’ve never been crippled!” There was a cackle of laughter.
Of course Aiko still hadn’t come out of her room yet nor had she heard her mother, too preoccupied with grabbing the things she’d really need. “You’re not taking Aiko, I won’t allow it, so you might as well leave. Besides, she’s stupid enough to believe me if I just told her you were playing with her.”

Face pressed into him, she nodded. “Okay,” She murmured, “Let’s run away.”
She couldn’t say NO to him. She didn’t have the will power. Without him, she was n o t h i n g. She would crumble away into dust and be swept away by the wind. Punpun was her everything. “I want us to be happy, Punpun. Let’s go somewhere we can be happy.”
