Fair winds be yours (Closed)
Tia quietly shut her door, setting the bags containing her altar gently on the bed. She stood quietly in the middle of her room, looking around at her things in their places one last time before she began taking them down and gently packing them away.
She didn't have a lot when it came to possessions, not a lot of clothes, not a lot of trinkets or jewelry. The most she had ever had were her wares, her charms and ground plants and crystals and cards. She packed each one away with care in a separate bag, knowing they would be her source of incoming money on her way back home.
Under her dresser, she pulled out her box of money she'd collected since she'd started school, not a whole lot, but enough for a bus ticket and a little food on the side should she run out of the food she stole from the kitchens.
She went about cleaning the room once all of her possessions were in the two bags by the door, cleaning out the ash from her incense, taking down the protection charm over the door, and opening the window to erase everything else that was her.
From her drawer, she pulled out her gift from Mittens, clutching it tight in her hand and letting out a deep breath. She tied it around the loop in her skirt, enjoying the feel of weight against her thigh before she took one last look at the room.
Bed made, drawers cleared, and her energy fading.
Soon, it'd be home to someone else and she would be a memory.
The decision had been hard and easy to make. Hard because of the very few she considered friends and easy because she needed to go home, where she belonged, and where she was needed. The students at this school had no need of her and would barely remember she was here by the time she was home.
She took her bags in each hand and crept out of the building, running for the hole in the fence.
And she didn't bother looking back.
