mermay concepts with ciel and lizzy! i tried to keep limited color palettes and use their commonly used shades, but up the saturation and hue to look more 🫧🐠under the sea🌊🐙. i think if they were 19th century nobility mermaids they’d still be a lil classy 💁‍♀️

It is immensely funny to read that everyone in Modri's fashback fell on the spot for the demon's spell and lies (i mean crops growing on frozen fields, hello ???), meanwhile a ten year old deeply traumatized kid called him out after ten seconds :

Not gonna lie, as much as I believe it greatly attests to our!Ciel's intelligence, I also wonder how his own lineage thingy might have partially protected him from Seb's spells.

I mean, considering Modri's flashback and maybe even demon!Brown using a doll to make Victoria believe Albert's still alive, if Ciel's lineage is even remotely related to demon hunters/exorcists like this guy...

...honestly it might explain why Ciel can look Seb straight in the eyes and be like "I trust you least of all".

The new character doesn’t appear to be a Shinigami since he’s not wearing glasses and his weapon isn’t a gardening tool. Maybe Shinigamis aren’t the only creatures capable of wielding weapons that can hurt demons. Is he just a mere human whose job is to hunt demons ? or perhaps a new supernatural being like an angel?

There is a good amount of ~fashion~ in common between the demon hunter and Modri in the present day, in particular they are wearing the same scarf with the “x”-shaped crosses at the top, as well as the scarf with the tassels. I think they may have a similar shirt as well, except the demon hunter has his cleavage out, and of course, his literal cross-bow echoes Modri’s IV stand. I’m very intrigued to see where all this is going—my first impulse is to assume there’s an order of demon hunters à la Hellsing and flashback eventually joins their number, but there’s still the matter of the two additional voices/personalities he has riding around in the present day, and I can’t help but wonder how Undertaker got someone who was alive in the 1700s as a bizarre doll if he’s only been working on refining his methods for a few years…
