I discovered a couple semi-canon things about Cass from the tts books that you may like XD

Omg yes please I'd like to hear them!!!!

I found out the other day that Cassandra's favorite desert is banana cream pie! And Cap encouraged her love of cartography and Cass made an itinerary for season 2.

Also Rapunzel has made paintings of her and Cass and also Eugene, and Eugene brought all the Flynn Rider books with him in season 2.

Also in the storyboards I remembered that Varian has a guitar and a skateboard in his room

Cool!!!I wouldn't have ever guessed she was into maps and all. I imagine she liked collecting Cap's maps when she was little and studying them.

I also feel like Rapunzel woulda baked a ton of banana cream pies the moment she found out it was Cass' favourite desert XD

And Varian, I can't see him skateboarding XD but I think it's pretty possible he'll play the guitar too, he did also play the piano in 'Through it all'

Oh she’s a huge map nerd. She’s mapped out Herz der Sonne’s tunnels and pretty much all of Corona. And she gets really excited to make a new map in Vanishing Village.

Oh Rapunzel actually found it out that way. She baked every desert she could think of to find Cass’s favorite one.

What sort of relationship do you think Sasha had with her future parents in law? On one hand, she talkes super dismissively about them in her worst moments talking with Anne, clearly projecting her own issues with her own parents unto their relationship with Anne. But on the other hand, the finale suggests she was extremly close with them judging by their physical interactions.

Also, do you think the two of them shipped Anne and Sasha?

I feel she'd have a more healthy relationship with them than her own parents. Just as you mentioned, even in pre-timeskip we saw how positive her interactions with Anne's parents were.

I think at least Anne's mom might ship them. I mean both her and Sasha's personalities are kinda similar like both are strong and protective of the ones they love. She might see herself in Sasha and feel happy that someone like her will always be there for Anne.

What’s your favorite thing about Cassandra and Varian’s dynamic?

I would say everything honestly. The build up of their friendship...the way they relate to one another...it's slow and simple and has so much potential for more build up.

The both of them share many traits, which in a way makes them closer to one another than to any other characters throughout the show.

No mothers, fractured relationships with the father figures in their lives, unable to live up to their expectations, both sidelined and alienated. Both have a drive to prove that they are better than people think they are. Both have been transformed by Rapunzel's friendship, have turned on Rapunzel, have come back to Rapunzel. Both have animal companions. Both have animal companions who have gone behind their backs in order to ultimately help them.

Similarities aside, their interactions are momentous. From Wth where she'd saved him and he developed a crush to Great Expotations where they actually managed to build a friendship. Cassandra hates being called 'Cassie'--but she's given Varian permission to call her that and it goes to show he'd definitely made a place in her life.

Even in CR where she was out for revenge only, she still told Varian that she didn't blame him for anything, and wasn't going to hurt him.

And most importantly 'Nothing Left to lose' Varian understood her more than anyone else would've. He didn't try to manipulate her with feelings or order her, he actually tried to reason with her and make her understand and you can see that he was getting through before she fought it off.

The emotional connection between them is clear and the whole reason for shipping them.

I wouldn't say much on their age difference because I'm not going to echo what's been said countless times already.

Their dynamic is energetic but kinda slow and understanding...has a lot of potential too.

Edit- Also about the cassandrium. I'm not gonna lean towards the romantic representation. But it showed how much Varian validated Cassandra...after having being ignored for her fighting because she was a woman almost her whole life, he recognizes that in her. And feels the need to let her know that...creates an element representing her strength and names it after her.

That there is a really strong friendship. Shame we didn't get more of it

One of the best details in True colors is that in the scene “Sprigs death” Marcy is crying. Its such a nice detail because she just had her truth moment and said “look at Sprig, I gave you this, I gave you everything” It kind of comes off as Marcy doesn’t see Sprig as a full person. She saw him as an object.

This is not true. When Sprig is thrown out the window and everyone thinks he’s dead, Marcy is crying too. Because he did mean something to her, she did care. She was the one who saved Sprig.

Its nice to have her save Sprig because its a great parallel to “Marcy at the gates” where she saves Sprig and says he means a lot to Anne.

So in conclusion: Marcy cared about Sprig, she knew how much he meant to Anne. She never saw him as an object. She saw him as a friend.
