Tobias figured the Sternritter had come to visit his captain, not him. Tobias was busy training with a sword in each hand, oblivious to whatever else was going on around him, even potential visitors. He had clearly been at this for a while as sweat trickled down the side of his face and he lazily wiped it away with the back of his hand. It was then he noticed the Sternritter nearby.

Upon spotting him he immediately bowed his head, evidently put on edge by the ritter’s presence. 

He’d had bad experiences with Sternritter.

“S-Sorry– I didn’t see you there, sir.”

HE WAS originally here to see where Claus was, though it stemmed more out of concern for an old friend more than anything else. Without a trace of the other male and a lack of a desire to go back to his room, he instead settled in with watching some of the subordinates sparring.

EYEBROWS ROSE up as he spotted the other bowing his head, looking mildly surprised.

“It’s alright, I’m merely observing -- there is not need to be so tensed up. What is your name? Although I have known Claus for a while and he has told me stories of some people under his command, you are not familiar to me.”

       “ Yep~! I do it emotionally every day~! It’s become a routine almost. “

She wasn’t really bothered by that sweet smile–she would easily just return it back to him. She was a little more skilled in this field than most people and while she probably should have been respectful–she wasn’t going to be.

He let out a low noise that sounded like it was a mix between a groan and a disgusted sound, dropping her down and pinching the bridge of his nose.

      ❝ You’re not worth getting bothered over. Works more easily if          they’re the type who get quiet if they’re threatened. ❞

A small ‘oof’ left her as she was picked up, legs kicking for a few seconds before she relaxed. Gloved hands moved to loosen the way her uniform had bunched up from being hoisted, lips curled into her usual fiendish smile.

       “ What if I say yes~? “

      ❝ Have you ever wondered what it’s like to want to tear yourself          from the inside out? ❞ He sweetly smiled.

He’ll just bring her back to whom she served under, if his headache didn’t get any worse -- Reiner’s patience was a thin string today.

-- And he picked the smaller female up by the scruff of her uniform, almost like a mother cat picking up her small kitten -- too bad it’s because the insistent recklessness was giving him a headache.

He quickly moved himself–and the chair, back after being touched.

  “Well, you and your sword in my face isn’t very relaxing, so.”

“Hmn.” He withdrew his sword and placed it back into it’s usual spot.

“Sorry for disturbing you, I was wandering around to see what other people were doing.”

i really should make a theme for reiner as well - he’s not one of my most active children but i still love him

      “You have been keeping to your duties though, ja? His Majesty would not be pleased if he found out otherwise.” 

“I believe he should be more worried about the ... distress-causing Quincies rather than one that is tired. But I have been keeping to them.”

He tapped the butt of the sword sheathe he carried against the other’s chest.

“... No, unfortunately. It is best to make the most of the relaxation time that we barely have.”

“Checking how you are procrastinating, and you seem to be doing it efficiently.”
