IMO, if you’re goth/alternative, you really shouldn’t be making fun of therians, furries, people who use neopronouns, or anyone else who exists outside the norm.

We’re not that different. The same “normal” people who mock furries are the ones who would mock you for dressing in all black, having piercings, or listening to “weird” music.

You can’t preach acceptance and progression while turning around and ridiculing other communities. Thirty years ago, being a gamer or liking anime was considered strange. Now it’s mainstream. Subcultures only survive because someone defended them when they were misunderstood.

If you know what it feels like to be judged for being different, why repeat that cycle?

Will on the other hand you can tell he's more anxious, and more how do I say this.. More.. Quiet, more closed-in. Won't tell their feelings as much — as is described to be a lanky cat.

If they weren't so traumatized we would actually get the extroverted version of Nico. The "I don't actually care what comes out of my mouth, I just run it." Version of him. And the "I have no idea what people think of me whenever I say something so I just keep shut." Version of Will.

Their dynamics would be switched. Nico would be so genuinely annoying towards Will. But Will has learned how to tolerate him through his relationship with him.

At some point their confession would be like:

Nico: "Hey, I like you. You're pretty cool. Wanna go on a date with me?"

Will: "What."

Nico: "I asked if you wanna go on a date with me?"

Will: "I'm.." *Mumbles.*

Nico: "Is.. That a yes?"

Will: *Nods while extremely red.*

Nico: "Perfect! I'll pick you up at seven?"

Will: *thumbs up awkwardly.*

It would actually be interesting to see what their dynamic COULD HAVE BEEN if they weren't so fucking traumatized, RICK.

i've been calling this out for a while now. it literally doesn't even matter if you are queer as well, it doesn't excuse the fact ur sexualising and fetshizing people, you dont get a free pass because of that and like they don't even see the problem

another thing i was talking to my friend @a-mbr0sia / @d7ath about... the use of the words yaoi and yuri to downgrade actual people, characters just to be no more than their ship and potential sexual activities

like i personally don't use those words because of that and its fucking stupid

there's barely anything that excuses sexualization and objectification of people regardless of what kind of couple it is. i'm not trying to say smut is bad and everything, but people are more than the sick twisted sexual fantasies they get pulled down to and you gotta treat them as such
