AI has even ensh*ttified things that didn't even used to be considered generative AI at all, but if it can be called "AI", they call it AI.
Things like text to speech, which used to be nearly instantaneous to use, now spend TEN MINUTES sitting there "generating". It never needed to be anything other than a local process on your device.
Adults should not be allowed to control minor's basic health, like eating meals when hungry, stopping eating when full, drinking when thirsty, using the restroom, etc.
Adults should not be allowed to deny minors healthcare. This includes mental health. This includes letting trans & gender diverse minors have access to their desired puberty.
Adults should not be allowed to force/coerce intersex minors into having unwanted HRT, genital mutilation, reproductive mutilation, breast mutilation, etc.
Adults should not be allowed to force/coerce minors with bodily differences (ie; polydactyl, craniofacial differences, etc) to have unnecessary medical procedures to "fix" it.
Adults should not be allowed to mutilate minors' genitals for the sake of "cultural practices" and puritanism.
Adults should not be allowed to isolate minors from society.
Adults should not be allowed to deny education to minors when a topic makes them "uncomfortable." This includes teaching minors about queerness, sexism, race & racism, disabilities & ableism, paraphilias & paramisia, sex, reproduction, etc, etc.
I hate that glasses is a transmasc stereotype BITCH IM TRYING TO SEE👁️👁️
Its so ridiculous 😭 I've even seen transmascs with glasses get called "Gay Clark Kent" which had me so incredibly speechless.
I've witnessed transmascs being called "femboys" purely for having glasses, because supposedly the glasses make their faces look "softer." They didn't even dress in any sort of traditionally feminine way, it was literally just that they had glasses on.
[image description: the epic handshake meme. one arm is labelled gay people and the other is labelled lesbians. in the middle it says "fuck yeah bro". end id]
hey guys, quick reminder! this post is about uplifting other people!!! tags like 'ugh, but men are gross lol' or 'op has never met a man' are not welcome and will recieve an insta block! men are cool! women are cool! thank you for coming to my fucking ted talk! :-)
me: "I am having a rough day. I will watch some Bob Ross to calm me down."
my misophonia: "Not today you won't, bitch. Those soothing brush-strokes are going to sound like nails on a chalkboard to you today."
me: 😬 "Fuck my entire life. Time to listen to a thunderstorm or something I guess."
[PT: AFAB/AMAB describes an event, not an identity. /End PT]
AFAB is not a noun. AMAB is not a noun. It is an acronym for an *event* - that event being what was written on your birth certificate. AFAB = assigned female at birth. AMAB = assigned male at birth.
Think about how the acronyms would sound if fully written out.
"AFABS are-" turns into "assigned female at births are-"
...Do you see how weird that is?
"AMAB people-" turns into "assigned male at birth people"
...Which is also grammatically incorrect. It should be "people AMAB/AFAB." Put the people beforehand, not afterwards.
"I'm AFAB/AMAB" turns into "I am assigned male/female at birth"
...Which speaks in present tense about a past tense event. It should be "I *was* AFAB/AMAB."
Also, AFAB/AMAB does not describe puberty, sex traits, or how you are viewed societally. Stop using them that way!
[PT: Also, AFAB/AMAB does not describe puberty, sex traits, or how you are viewed societally. Stop using them that way! /End PT]
"AFAB/AMAB" is only about what was written on a birth certificate.
Intersex people AMAB may have a vulva or atypical genitalia, a mullerian duct (uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes) or ambiguous or no reproductive organs, an estrogenized puberty (breasts, widened hips, higher voice, less body/facial hair, etc) or a androestrogenized or absent puberty, etc.
Intersex people AFAB may have a penis or atypical genitalia, a wolffian duct (prostate, seminal vesicles, vas deferens, testicles) or ambiguous or no reproductive organs, an androgenized puberty (increased muscle mass, deepened voice, more body/facial hair, etc) or androestrogenized or absent puberty.
Even perisex people AFAB or perisex people AMAB may have an alternative puberty or no puberty due to HRT or gonad damage.
Instead of using AFAB/AMAB, say what you mean. Name specific body parts. Name specific puberties. Name specific capabilities.
Use actual words for anatomy. Say mullerian duct (or the individual parts, such as cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, etc), wolffian duct (or the individual parts, such as testicles, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate,) ambiguous reproductive duct (or individual parts also seen in mullerian ducts and wolffian ducts), ovotestes, vulva (or individual parts, such as labia minora, labia majora, clitoris, vagina, urethra,) penis (or individual parts, such as scrotum, phallus, urethra), urogenital sinus, cloaca, ambiguous genitalia (or individual parts, such as clitorophallus, labioscrotum, or previously listed traits also seen in vulvas and penises), breasts, increased muscle mass, thickened vocal cords, etc.
If you're talking about puberty, name the specific puberty (estrogenized, androgenized, androestrogenized). Or say what body part you're referring to (ie; "people with breasts.")
If you're talking about menstruation and reproduction, name the abilities. People who menstruate, people capable of pregnancy, people capable of impregnating others, people capable of ovulation, people capable of sperm production, etc.
If you're talking about how society views someone, say socially imposed as female, socially imposed as male, consistent socially imposed gender, and inconsistent socially imposed gender. (More on that here [link.])
I fear many of us are forgetting that trans men belong to Men (the gender) but not Men (the sociopolitical class) and I think thats an important distinction
is it possible to be demisexual, hyperromantic and aplatonic-spec at the same time? genuine question. clarification: i feel platonically while people are at a distance or just casual friends/acquaintances, but the moment i start to open up and put my guards down and gain mutual trust with these people, the squish immediately turns into a crush and my love life and friendships all seem to get complicated by me coming on too strong and making the other person uncomfortable with the intensity of my romantic feelings (aka they feel much more platonically than i do). is this spike in romanticism a thing other demi-aplatonic people experience, or is aplatonicism a constant thing with no platonic feelings whatsoever?
Well, anon, all I can really say is that you've basically described the exact experience that *I personally* have, so... 🤝🤝🤝🤝
I dont think art is for escapism. I dont think art should exist solely to comfort or entertain. And I don't think I should have eaten this party size bag of jalapeno chips.
