Been seeing posts on pinterest about how Hans could have had an "evil spell" put on him to make him act the way he did in frozen-- this followed by art pieces where he's like "no! Thats not me!" Internally.

So fun fact. I was an Ace Attorney fan LONG before I became a Sherlock Holmes fan. (My venture into Sherlock Holmes only arose as of exactly a year ago). So when I played TGAA back in 2021, I didn't think too deeply about if Herlock was a good Sherlock Holmes adaption. Mostly just, "haha, look at this weird gooooo."

But now?

Now I am knee deep into Sherlock Holmes.

I was thinking of replaying the Chronicles and seeing just how well Sholmes held up as an adaption (following my own personal critera ofc, opinions are subjective). And I still know that no matter what Herlock Sholmes will still be one of my favorite characters ever. This experiment is just a fun excuse to replay the game.

Final thoughts on OG Awakened (with contrasts to the remake). Warning, these thoughts are VERY unsorted and not in chronological order of the game's events!

The boat bit in the original game, to me at least, was MUCH easier to manage omigosh. I literally replayed The Awakened remake right after just for this comparison and STILL struggled with the stupid boat.

Why is Gygax in the original... Kinda hot-

Loved my trusty spoon that I used to lockpick everything. I literally went "NOOOO, MY SPOON" The moment it disappeared.

Is Maurizio thinking he's Napoleon and being the new bait a direct reference to Moriarty from the original? Since, heh, Moriarty's the "Napoleon of crime."

Interesting how at the end of the OG, its Watson who's having nightmares. Opposed to, well, you know how the remake ends.

Man though, though, the contrast between when Sherlock gets lost in the caves.

Remake Sherlock: Help me! Please, John! John. John, I'm falling!

OG Sherlock: W-a-a-t-s-o-o-n! W-h-o-o-h-o-o! W-a-a-t-s-o-o-n!

I'm sorry. WHOOHOO?

That one line in the original though, where Sherlock falls in the caves and goes "I am still alive. But I have broken my lantern 😐" and is just so unbothered SENDS ME for some reason

I've now played the OG Awakened and the duality of the Sherlock's encountering the guy in the basement of the asylum is sending me

Remake Sherlock: Please! No more. Stop it! Watson! Jon? Somebody! 😰

OG game Sherlock: He makes so much noise! 😡 I better be on my way before he attracts the entire staff 🙄

I wanna note, I love both these versions of Sherlock a lot. I just think the contrast between the two super interesting 🤔 (and hilarious, because why is OG Sherlock so sassy lmao).

I cannot recommend Kareem Abdul Jabbar's and Anne Waterhouse's Mycroft and Sherlock book series enough

Good book series, yes. But I think its specifically great for people who liked Frogwares most recent Sherlock Holmes games. Especially when it comes to the brotherly relationship between Sherlock and Mycroft. I read it soon after finishing the games and was obsessed. Rereading rn and was reminded how good it was.

Fair warning though. Book 1 is entirely Mycroft centric but Sherlock becomes important in book 2

Speaking of book 2. Spoilers (but read more if you want a hook)

Sherlock almost drowns! I know that's your favorite thing!

Jokes aside; there is a peak interaction between Sherlock and Mycroft at the end of book two that rots my brain. Iykyk.

CALAMO IS VOICED BY PROZD????

So my last BOTW game from the BOTW world was well, BOTW. Haven't played Age of Calamity nor Tears of The Kingdom. But my sister is OBSESSED with Legend of Zelda, so she ofc has played those games. So when Age of Imprisonment came out, I let her use my Switch 2 to play it. But she insisted I play it multi-player with her. Here are my thoughts of the game from a not super consistent LoZ player.

First off; I've only recently got off my relapse into a Fire Emblem Three Houses kick. So I will confess that it was practically impossible NOT to only hear Claude and Dimitri from Raphica and Rauru. Also Raphica is an archer and Rauru is a spear user 😂 (and call me crazy, but I SWEAR Calamo said something about wondering what "scheme" Raphica had up his sleeve during Raphica's intro chapter. Was that... Was that intentional?)

My Fire Emblem brainrot aside. Calamo is love Calamo is life I would end the world for this little fella. My sister spammed the Construct while I spammed Calamo, it was great. Also the multi-player flying segments where all P2 got to do was spam acorns as Calamo? Ten out of ten experience, would do again.

My sister also forced me to watch the Tears of the Kingdom's cutscenes so I wouldn't be THAT lost while playing Age of Imprisonment, lol

Over all, tons of fun. Especially as a multi-player experience tbh. (Yes, dear sister. I did indeed steal that weak-point smash from right under your nose).
