Hey, I'm Koa Jade Fletcher. I'm your average nonbinary assassin Peds surgeon. I'm in my early 20s, yes I was ahead in college. I'm Poly and Pansexual, so, PPP I guess. The kids seem to love me, which says something about my character I suppose..

Open RP: Caught?

Koa was working a shift at the hospital when a payment went through. They looked at their phone, memorized the details and put their phone away before anyone could see the screen. After their shift ends, they walk to their apartment and change into their suit. After completing the mission, they change into civilian clothes, not realizing the got nicked during the fight. They’re not looking as they bump into someone.

(Just a small one to start this account)

Not long after moving to the east coast, they decide to find a place to eat before having to go take a shift at their new job. They’re walking around trying to find a place to eat while also getting asked to eliminate people, when they run into someone, or more like someone runs into them. “Hey, where’s the fire?” There is sarcasm dripping from their voice, while also slightly aware in case someone figures out their identity and they have to run again.

Mod: her first one!! She's a runaway from some city in the Midwest (I'm stuck between Chicago and Detroit). I'll get her proper backstory out later today!

The translation of Aurora is "fresh start", and that's exactly what Rory's looking for as she steps off the train with a ratty backpack slung over one shoulder and an overconfident smile curling her lips. She's going to kick New York's ass.

Well, that is, after she figures out what she's going to do to get to an ass-kicking position. She's got about a hundred bucks and some dreams to her name, and that doesn't get her all that far here. Plus, she's got no clue where she's going. She picks a stranger to stop and approaches them with a friendly smile. "Hey, do you know how to get to... Uh... Anywhere, really?"

She shrugs. "Someplace with cheap food that isn't that far."

They nod; “I was going to get food actually, it’s at a place that’s really good and affordable.”

"Really? Awesome! Mind if I follow you?" She smiles.

They nod and keep walking, trying to not make it obvious that they’re on high alert

She walks next to them, trying to act like she's not on high alert, either. She's still sort of on the run.

They point to the building in front of them after a while, “there, they have good discounts on certain days.”

"That's great," she says, thumbing her pocket with the cash in it. She approaches the door and gets in line.

They make small talk with the workers, obviously being a regular

She orders something cheap but filling enough and goes to sit down.

They continue to talk with the workers, ordering something for themself and keeps an eye on her

She's not really aware that they're keeping an eye on her, busy with her food.

They’re at conflict, they know the look of a runaway when they see one. They’re debating on asking the kid questions

She pretty much scarfs the food down, having not eaten in at least a day. She's acting like someone might take it from her.

Against their will, they walk up and sit in front of the kid, “What’s your name?”

She flinches slightly when they sit down, looking at them suspiciously. "Who's asking?"

“Me, I know a runaway when I see one.” They make their tone softer, remembering how they were in the same position not that long ago.

"And who are you, exactly? I don't hand my name out to people I don't know I can trust."

“My name is Koa, I work as an intern at a hospital.”

"Koa..." Rory stares at them for a moment, then seems to make her decision. "I'm Rory."

They nod, “Nice to meet you Rory. I promise I don’t bite, at least not too badly.”

"I don't promise that," she says, pulling her jacket a little bit closer. "What do you want?"

They sigh, “I don’t know. I want to help but I’m not good at this stuff.”

"You want to help...?" She furrows her eyebrows slightly. "I don't need help, I'll be fine."

“You haven’t eaten in days, maybe a week. You have clothes that are just asking to be thrown away at this point, gods know if you have a place to live.”

"Uh... I mean, that's true, but- I'll still be just fine! I've got a plan." Sure, the plan is still forming in Rory's head at this moment, but...

“You and I both know that’s not true, don’t try to lie to me.” They’re stern, wondering on the inside if it’s okay to take a kid in with their lifestyle

Rory grumbles slightly. "I'm not trying to lie to you, I'm trying to lie to both of us... But the plan's worked out so far!"

“So far, but there are things that can go wrong. You can run out of money, land in the wrong area..”

"I can fight, and I won't run out of money. I've got an audition tomorrow. Small part, off-broadway, but I'm good enough for it, and it's enough cash for food. I'm working on a place to stay, too. Why do you even care?"

“Because I was in your place not that long ago. And people took advantage of me and as much as I hate it; I see some of myself in you.”

"Really? You?"

“Yes really.”

She squints at her a little bit. "...You shouldn't."

They eye her, “Why not?”

Well, that is, after she figures out what she's going to do to get to an ass-kicking position. She's got about a hundred bucks and some dreams to her name, and that doesn't get her all that far here. Plus, she's got no clue where she's going. She picks a stranger to stop and approaches them with a friendly smile. "Hey, do you know how to get to... Uh... Anywhere, really?"

They nod; “I was going to get food actually, it’s at a place that’s really good and affordable.”

They nod and keep walking, trying to not make it obvious that they’re on high alert

She walks next to them, trying to act like she's not on high alert, either. She's still sort of on the run.

They point to the building in front of them after a while, “there, they have good discounts on certain days.”

"That's great," she says, thumbing her pocket with the cash in it. She approaches the door and gets in line.

They make small talk with the workers, obviously being a regular

She orders something cheap but filling enough and goes to sit down.

They continue to talk with the workers, ordering something for themself and keeps an eye on her

She's not really aware that they're keeping an eye on her, busy with her food.

They’re at conflict, they know the look of a runaway when they see one. They’re debating on asking the kid questions

She pretty much scarfs the food down, having not eaten in at least a day. She's acting like someone might take it from her.

Against their will, they walk up and sit in front of the kid, “What’s your name?”

She flinches slightly when they sit down, looking at them suspiciously. "Who's asking?"

“Me, I know a runaway when I see one.” They make their tone softer, remembering how they were in the same position not that long ago.

"And who are you, exactly? I don't hand my name out to people I don't know I can trust."

“My name is Koa, I work as an intern at a hospital.”

"Koa..." Rory stares at them for a moment, then seems to make her decision. "I'm Rory."
