Hello, hello, Windsor College residents. Are you sitting comfortably? Have you had a good night's sleep? Has anybody found the first body on campus yet? Sorry, if you're reading this, and you're the poor sod that did. Just couldn't help myself.

Not like I woke up this morning wanting to kill somebody.

Hah.

Anyway. I wanted to welcome you all to Beyond the Pleasure Principle; a funny little project of mine. You'll receive little posts from me every few days where I discuss the murders that are about to reign on campus, and - if you're real lucky - I might even make a little prize for Murder of the Week. I want to see if anyone's gonna keep up with me, y'know?

But I'm rushing ahead! I haven't given any of you context. Allow me to explain - recently, around Windsor, you may have noticed a few of you having unusual, odd, strange, peculiar (so many words, couldn't decide on just one) dreams. All of them focus around the same thing - a girl in your dorm room (boys, boys, keep calm. I know this is unusual for you, but this is a horror story, not a porno).

None of you have seen my face, obviously. Ruins the game if you all know who I am. But you all know something - Southern 7B, you've heard my name. Eastern 4A, you've felt my hands on your shoulders. The entirety of the Western 6 flats smelled my perfume, because apparently you lot all got drunk enough that your heads were real fucking easy to break into.

And all of you woke up this morning with the impossible knowledge, even before it all kicked off, even before the police arrived, even before the campus went on lockdown... that somebody in the Northern flats had died.

Now. One of you lucky motherfuckers has been chosen to take up the mantle, so you'll be seeing me tonight. I want to start a little chain for us all - I kill one, you kill another, so on and so forth. If any of this gets back to law enforcement - well, I'm not stupid, you won't be able to track this post, and what other evidence do you have? Oh, yes, officer, I know exactly who killed Northern 5C, let me tell you about this dream I had last night... hah, actually, please let me know if anybody tries that.

Anyway. I'll be around. Sleep well and all.

Hello, all!

My name is Avery, or Acadia, whichever one you prefer, and I'm going to be launching an ARG later this year called The Institute.

The Institute is an ARG that takes all your favourite parts of dark academia and gives it Gods. It's set at an old boarding school, where you'll play as a new student, guided by the Head Girl and two of her best friends, the Prefects. If you'd like to play, keep an eye out for when we eventually launch the player application, but today's post is a little different.

We are currently hiring for people to play the role of Mallory Edwin, the love interest of the story and one of the aforementioned Prefects. Mallory is a really interesting character and because of that we want to reach out and find the right person for the job, so if you're interested, please fill out our application form!

Please note that The Institute contains heavy trigger warnings for death, violence, horror and religious imagery & trauma. Please do not apply if these are subjects that will make you uncomfortable.

There's no current deadline for applications, but I'll make another post when they're closed and we've found our Mallory. Thank you!
