My reading progress at the beginning of February 🥰
I’ve been trying to read a lot more now that I’ve had to take time off Uni (and taking time to re evaluating my life). It helps keep me busy, especially in this heat Australia has been having.
It’s been a rough few weeks. I fell a bit behind due to mental & physical health problems.
Finally back to where I should be, hopefully I can now slow down and breath for a while.
I’m so glad that my teachers are patient and understanding, giving me the extra time I needed.
this semester: beauty & brains 🎀🧠✏️
things i'm looking forward to:
❥ sitting in the front row of every class
❥ previewing the lectures so i know the content ahead of class
❥ being the classmate everyone wants to sit by b/c i know everything
❥ raising my hand & participating constantly
❥ being the teacher's pet & visiting them during office hours
❥ getting dolled up for class every day
❥ having a different shade of pink folder for each class
❥ stocking up on glittery pencils & pens
❥ using a cute pencil pouch
❥ packing snacks & my 32 oz water bottle daily
❥ studying in the library & distracting boys with my presence
❥ being the classmate everyone hopes they get paired up with for projects & assignments
❥ getting asked to tutor people & to join everyone's study groups
Week 6 has been really rough. I’ve been feeling exhausted (mentally and physically), burnt out and sick.
I’ve fallen a little behind but I can catch up pretty quickly. My body has unfortunately been fighting me and making uni difficult.

💕 The beginning of Week 5 💕
Sadly kicked off with an incident with my neighbour that caused me to shut down for the day on my one day off.
But I got back on track today by doing my readings for the week.
I’ve been so proud of how on top of things I’ve been, allowing me to have these bad days but still get things done.
(Also restarted my Pokémon Shield game as I kinda suck at it 😂)

if you’re going to be obsessed with anything, be obsessed with yourself!
cher loves herself no matter what and prioritizes her physical and mental health. make yourself a priority and don’t compromise your well-being for anyone. send yourself love letters and flowers and candy, just like cher.
be a loyal and trustworthy friend
cher has her group of close friends, but is kind and friendly to new people as well. do what you can to help others, make your friends feel better, give them advice, and never share what they confide to you with anyone!
be picky with potential partners
never be afraid to set personal boundaries and defend yourself if you’re being treated badly. keep your standards high! you deserve to have the love that you want and be treated like a princess, exactly what you deserve.

self care is a staple
take care of your mind and body. you deserve the princess treatment from yourself too! wear a cute, comfy set, do your skincare, stretch, bake some cookies or cupcakes, read a book, whatever will make you feel your best.
be goal-oriented
keep your endgame in mind at all times. take time to figure out what you want and what it will take to get there, then go for it. stay confident in your ability to reach your goals, no matter what they are.
the chic style
the cher style is both chic and colorful. totally glamorous! her wardrobe includes plaid, knee high socks, mini bags, blazers, matching sets, simple solid shoes/heels, faux fur, and lots of bright colors.
Executive dysfunction is basically going “Okay one two three go. And now. Aaaaaaannnnnnnd we’re goinnnnng now.” for like three hours before the thing happens
It’s week 4 and I’ve got no classes due to public holidays, though I still have an assignment to work on.
I’m kinda grateful for this break in classes. Going into campus take a lot of energy and this gives me a bit of a breather.

Week 3 has gone well so far, though I have to miss out on this week’s tutorial as my body is on protest atm 😅
I’ve been writing an essay on my literacy journey which I’ve finished early. Though having to look back at my literacy journey as an undiagnosed autistic child is a little traumatic but very insightful.
I am proud of how well I’m keeping up with the work and readings.
if you have a massive to-do list and are really struggling to get through it, here are some tips:
get yourself a little treat after you finish each task- a piece of chocolate, a gummy bear, whatever
light a candle once you have finished a set number of tasks
tidy up your desk every time you finish a task- this can help "reset" your brain and prep it for the next thing (it also works as a little brain break)
if you are doing #1 but after every problem (you get a treat after you finish each problem on your homework) then refill your receptacle
change the lighting in your room- again, resets your brain a little bit
this one is kinda silly but I know some people who will sing an affirmation song after every task which works wonders at making them continue studying.
take a few really deep breaths- four counts in, hold for four, out for four, hold for four. this one is great if you are dealing with a lot of stress as it can help reduce.
Please note that none of these are breaks, nor should they be counted as such- most of the time you have a little transition period between tasks, and these shouldn't add much time to that transition period, but can make it way easier to handle.
