ok but in the torture scene i dnt think avitas had a choice.if he didnt go to the full extent that he was ordered to do then wudnt he be beaten as severely 4 disobeying?cant they be able to tell if he went easy on her?or if it did show that he went easy then theyd just make him hurt her more?i think the outcome was inevitable&what is the difference between what avitas did in comparison to when there is a literal moment where helene almst let laia die&didnt want to heal her cuz she was jealous?

Hello there!! Let me start by saying, I have nothing against Avitas. I love him. I truly do. But my point is, he eventually ditched Keris and her plans and started supporting Helene. And he wasn’t exposed now was he? I’m not saying he shouldn’t have hurt her AT ALL cause c’mon that would be outright defiance. As clear as the sun. But he could’ve played by the rules with a couple of punches and that water bucket. I found he overdid it with broken ribs, lacerations, bruised kidneys and torn tendons. It just shows how brutal the interrogation was. I think he could’ve downplayed it to some extent without being exposed. However during that time he saw her as the enemy who was going to kill his brother and didn’t realise that her loyalty to the empire had boundaries. So I don’t *really* blame him. But I see this as an incident etched in their memories, both he and Helene, and it would be hard to get over. For both of them. Sure, I’m not saying that Helvitas won’t be canon because there is a HUGE chance it might be endgame. I was just stating that it’s not exactly a favourite ship of mine. And you’re totally entitled to your own opinion. As for comparing what Avitas did to what Helene did with Laia, allow me to say, I see no similarity. First of all, Laia and Helene are on different sides of the war (in the way it looks is what I mean. Sure, I think Helene wants to do what Elias did and leave the Empire behind. But she can’t. Not yet, anyway. She made vows that the augurs will make her keep) so it’s normal for them to see each other as enemies, despite the protective feeling they have of each other that is blooming. While Avitas and Helene are supposed to be on the same side of this war. Secondly, Helene never hurt Laia. Sure, she had reservations about healing her. But I think that’s because of jealousy and to a bigger extent, thinking that why should she risk her life for the enemy? Since it would be considered witchcraft if she was caught. And let’s not forget that when Helene heals someone, she gets wounds on her body similar to theirs. But in the end, she chose to heal her. Meaning Helene actually defied everyone to heal someone who at that point wasn’t supposed to mean anything to her. While Avitas hurt Helene ruthlessly. Maybe he didn’t mean to be that brutal and it was just him trying to gain Keris’s trust to go with Helene on the hunt for Elias, but still, it happened. And those wounds take time to heal. So the comparison is irrelevant in my opinion.However, don’t take this personally. I’m just stating my opinion. My own preference is that they grow this bond that is forming between them into a strong friendship. It doesn’t mean I don’t support either of them. It just means that I wouldn’t like them to be romantically involved. And after all I’m not the author and I don’t control how things go and they have a chance at being endgame. It’s just not what I would prefer for either of them 😄

Can Helene Aquilla still end up with Elias?

Hi there! Yes, she can. She still has feelings for him. She still kept his mask with her even though she said she’s leaving his memory in the past. Let’s be real though, emotions are hard to erase. She can’t order her mind to unlove him. He loves her, too! (as family. Or a part of him, as he stated.) BUTTT! I WANT TO SAY SOMETHING AND I WANT YOU TO REALLY LISTEN. THIS IS IMPORTANT :D can we take a look at their relationship for a bit? They grew up with each other. And since day one, they had each other’s backs. They protected each other and fought alongside each other. Each of them saw the other in their best and worst states. Helene made a deal with the augurs, giving up her freedom to whoever would win the trials in exchange for Elias’s safety. She let Elias go and held on to the thought of him escaping and being free. It was her anchor during torture. Elias risked his life and freedom to save her when she was being trampled during the festival. She had a chance to catch him but she still let him go another time. AND! Let’s note that he asked her to go with him and Laia when she let him go in Blackcliff. But, of course, being held back by the deal she made, she couldn’t. Though she really wanted to! They love each other. That much is certain. And by love, I mean they will sacrifice everything for each other. They care about each other. They still protect each other even though they went their separate ways. Love doesn’t always have to mean romance.Romance might or might not happen between them. I mean Elias also has Laia, another person he’s come to know and love. Helene has her sister to protect and many duties. She might develop feelings for anyone as the story goes on. But right now, Elias is confined to the boundaries of the waiting place. Helene is shackled to Antium and by her vow, to Marcus’s will. It doesn’t have to end in romance. Though I’m sure that wherever they end up, it’ll be with love. Because what they already have is love! It’s their actions that prove it. And just the way they already are satisfies me. As long as they end up happy, does it really matter with who? If they end up together, that’s great. They both have trust and care between them. But it’s also fine if they don’t. Because their happiness is not defined by being in a relationship with the other. They will be happy when there’s no more war. When they are safe. When their wounds heal. The internal and external ones. When they have a home to return to. When they overcome their demons. That’s the best we could hope for. That they end up happy. And not alone. Or to be specific, lonely. Cause one can be alone yet be happy. It all depends on how they choose to be. What they choose to do~

Darin’s golden skin is dark with mud to hide his presence. A hood covers the unruly, honey-colored hair that has finally grown in. Looking at him, no one would ever know he’d survived six months in Kauf Prison. But within his mind, my brother battles demons still. It is those demons that have kept him from making Serric steel. He’s here now, I tell myself sternly. Fighting. Helping. The weapons will come when he’s ready.

I really really really REALLY WANT IT TO BE HELENE OR AVITAS CAUSE THAT WOULD MEAN LAIA IS TECHNICALLY SAFE. IT COULD BE SOMEONE ELSE WE DON’T WANT THERE THOUGH AND THAT SCARES ME CAUSE DARIN WOULD FOLLOW TO SEE WHY LAIA IS SO LATE AND THEN AFYA AND EVERYONE! BUT IF IT’S HELENE OR AVITAS, THEY WOULD BE SAFE. DEX IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY SINCE HELENE MADE HIM RESPONSIBLE FOR TRIBE SAIF’S INTERROGATIONS. AND THEN AGAIN MAMIE DIDN’T MAKE ANY EXPRESSION WHEN THE MASK CAME IN SO MAYBE IT IS SOMEONE SAFE. ALTHOUGH SINCE THEY SAW LAIA…. WHILE SHE HAD HER INVISIBILITY ON…. IT WOULD MEAN THAT MASK HAS SOME POWERS THAT WOULD ALLOW THEM TO SEE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. EVEN THE INVISIBLE. THE ONLY MASKS WHO COULD HAVE POWERS ARE HELENE AND KERIS. LET’S PRAY IT’S NOT KERIS. CAUSE IT COULD BE HER AND I WOULD DIE IF SHE HURTS MY SMOL BEAN LAIA! It could also be Marcus. But that’s unexpected really…
