Tim would never live it down that on his half-hour of sleep, work mode, he booked his flight in Economy. Cause in the very back of his mind, he thought this kind of shit could only happen in Economy.
Something. Something wasn't clicking too right. He needed to take 50 steps back to process why the freight train, known as Red Hood, burst into the area and went from having a rage episode... To being poked in the eyes (Yes, through the helmet, not that he noticed)... and getting whooped by a pair of teens his age.
Wait.
WHY ARE THEY PULLING OUT A BASEBALL BAT AND THERMOS?!
I want to introduce y'all Doki Doki Doodle! They just opened and sell multifandom stickers.
They released a bunch of Inuyasha stickers I fell in love with! (My pics aren't the best quality T^T) So check them out on Instagram and Etsy!
Danny writing a scientific paper disproving his parents theories and the general consensus of ghosts.
he gets in touch with the magical community applying a scientific lease to necromancy, creating a whole guide book to all the random names ecto biologists gave to necromantic principles that have been around for malenia and of course actually asking the ghosts about ghosts.
he even submits it to the JLD for peer review before he sends it to science places for review.
this is how the JLD find out about the anti ecto acts and this random teenagers one man crusade to end them.
John really thought they were goners this time. The house quaked under the mighty tentacles reaching out from beyond the black hole. Wonder Woman couldn't reach out to the league, Zatanna, and Dr. Fate were desperately fighting for control of the house against the entity, while he and Madam Xanadu scrawled out a teleportation circle for the second, the entity's control let up.
His heart beating out of his chest as his eyes shot towards the circle before everything went white, then dark.
This was it. Not the worst way to go out.
It felt fuzzy. Floating in this dark space. No need to breathe, or think, or worry.
For another rare time in his life, John felt at ease.
A single bead of light blipped into existence. Then there was two. Four. Eight. All the beads encompassed what remained of his vision(?), feeling(?)
It was expanding. Grabbing the universe by the hand and connecting to each other in numerous five-sided constellations. Its whispered name rang out.
Cepheus
This border of space warped, and fragmented realities flew past his view. He blinked and watched the circle fade on the floor.
Haggard breaths intrinsically followed his unconscious stride. Pass the living room and foyer. John swung the door open to the night sky. A meteor shower and the biting cold welcomed them... Home. He couldn't explain it. He just knew.
Soft glows of white and green are scattered on this hill. Books fell around a teenage boy, staring at them with glowing green eyes that faded to an unnatural blue.
"Uh... Hey?"
I couldn't help seeing Damien and Tim in this exact scenario
Damian sits by a window on a rainy day.
Damian: I'm so lonely.
Damian: Why must I live this life alone in solitude?
Tim approaches
Damian hisses: DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!
Damian turns back to the window and sighs: Will this loneliness ever end?
Instead, there's a bright flash of light, and they're seated in studio spaces in groups of 2. In front of them is a laptop and behind that a girl with red hair and a clipboard tells them to watch the video, and she'd like to hear their opinions on it before having them meet the king.
Jazz makes the JL react to Danny Phantom from start to finish.
Supernatural Investigator Combo: Prophet Danny and John Constantine
Danny: Hurry up, bud. I'll give you the shortened version. 5 young men, dressed in black, found dead in this parking lot.
They turn the corner to see Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, and Duke all in black, and STARING.
Danny:
Danny: We made good time! :D
John: Bloody hell...
ELDRITCH SCREECH IN THE BACKGROUND
DPXDC Prompt# 4- Are You Sure You’re Not Amazonian?
Diana has never been happier that the Louvre Museum decided to add a space exhibition because of her new coworker
Danny Nightingale was a bright-eyed 20-year-old who stood 5 inches taller than her and completed transitioning. They were too honest for her to doubt that statement but it just didn’t line up.
She had seen them catch a life-sized model rocket single-handedly before knocking it away from his guided group.
She casually slips Themyscarian into their conversations and they can keep communicating.
She confuses their sister for Artemis when she catches the two of them at a diner and their sister is even taller.
Danny has also been a great workout partner and when they tried sparring she could see the Themyscarian techniques built into them.
Danny had even shown her a photo of their dad and mom, and now she’s even more convinced. But she couldn’t believe that it came from their father’s side?!
She invited Artemis over to meet her enigma, and they both agree Danny has to be at least part Amazonian.
Danny loves his new job and his co-workers took them in immediately. They can’t help but tease Diana’s theory. Of course, he knows she’s Wonder Woman. Even if they retired and full-on ghost royalty, he still keeps up with the hero world. Hell, they’re even sure they’ve been an informant for Diana once or twice accidentally and a couple more times on purpose. It hasn’t been lost on them that Diana is slowly introducing more amazons. Like they’ve met Hippolyta over coffee?! WHAT?! There’s even occasionally a package of jewelry and books they recognize cause they’ve seen the stuff in Pandora’s lair!
Danny is at a loss for words with this situation. Maybe hanging out and training with Pandora had more of an effect than they realized. But how were they supposed to deny it when they knew Clockwork could be listening in at any moment? How awkward would that be? Explaining that the boogeyman Diana grew up hearing about was their grandpa too. Well, not actually but they can’t take that away from him. The ancient is just Grandpa-shaped dammit!
Danny joked one time about being an honorary amazon and didn’t realize that’s all it took for the two to take off running.
Cause what do you mean they suddenly has an Amazonian ancestor added to his family tree?! There’s no way Clockwork would change the timeline just to make them related. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE DID?!
They can’t even wipe the vindication off Diana’s face when they admit they’re (now) one-sixteenth Amazonian.
Here's the deal, lovely folks. I'm doubling down on putting my chaotic writing out there. So, I'm going to give this prompt some love. I can't give myself a timeline cause that gets in my head too much, BUT I'm going to try to keep this to 10-12 chapters, and that may be a little wishful.
So, I may just be reposting for a bit before I come out with another prompt, cause I love making those, and I've got no shortage of ideas.
If I finish 5 chapters, I'm dropping prompts back-to-back before posting on AO3. Now, if you excuse me, I gotta learn more about Amazonians and would love if you guys had any fic recs that were thorough in that sphere. Till then, sayonara!
After being on the run for a long time, Danny somehow stumbles his way into the middle of a fight. This leads to him joining the Teen Titans (much to his confusion).
Yeah this feels like this has potential and is not growing as much as I thought it would.
Danny wakes up to muffled voices of a whispered argument in another room. His hazy mind is noting that this is the warmest he has been in a while and that he is just coming out of a good sleep. Part of him just wants to sink back into the already fading dream he was having. But having spent 13 months running, hiding from Vlad and the bounty hunters the fruit loop hired to drag him back to that castle in Wisconsin he had learned not stick around.
Whispering means they think he is still asleep. Arguing means they are distracted. He doesn’t know who they are but the voices are vaguely familiar and that hasn’t been a good thing for him in over a year.
He turns invisible and intangible, diving down as most hunters expect ghosts to go up. There is a startled female yelp, “He vanished!”
Danny zipped through the floor below. His enhanced hearing heard deep male teen voice say that thermal sensors are picking up a moving cold spot. Danny silently cursed. Tech like that was always bad news. He tried to phase out a window but smacked against a magic ward on the building, giving him a painful shock and sapping some of his energy. To human eyes the magic shield would have looked like a shadow but Danny could see a purple tint to it. It was a passive ward that was placed on the outer walls and windows a while ago but seems to be refreshed weekly. It was designed to keep spirits from entering but in this case also keeping Danny from leaving. He would have to get out through an actual door.
He heard some running and an male dressed in traffic light colors shout they see him. He must have dropped his invisibility when he hit the ward. Danny flew off again going down another floor not stopping as the teen called, “Wait we just want to talk!”
The chase went on for what seemed like hours. Danny flying Dow halls and threw inner wall, up and down floors. Bumping into the warded outer walls occasionally as he searches for any exit. Each time he touched the ward it would hurt and drain more of his energy and it was getting harder to use his powers. He had for gone invisibility a while ago. And that meant the teens in the building could better track him and of course tried to call out to him. Asking him to stop, promising they wouldn’t hurt him, what was he afraid of, let them help him. Danny hasn’t fallen for tricks like those since a couple months after escaping Vlad. He wasn’t going to start now.
Danny had to stop for a breath after phasing through the last wall. His powers had almost given out half through and he would have been stuck. After a minute the dizziness faded and he looked up to se he was in a garage, with a door to the outside! It was only a electronic lock between him and freedom that Danny could easily hot wire to open. He didn’t waste a second with to think of hacking and ripped open the panel. He saw the wires he would need to cross after a few second and grabbed them. He stripped the ends and touched them together and the door began to open.
“Azarath Metrion Zinthos!”
Magic swirled around Danny stopping him in midair just as he had finally cleared the threshold out and pulled him back in.
Well now that I have left you with that lovely angsty version of Danny’s point of view for a tasty misunderstanding, I leave it to others to add on. @azulhood @arzuera @bianca-hooks123 @bloggerspam @dcxdpdabbles @dragonsrequiem @evilminji @flamingpudding @fightmebissh @hypewinter @hdgnj @im-totally-not-an-alien-2 @jedipirateking @kizzer55555 @puppetmaster13u @starlightcat04 @stormikitty @virgamsysxvolumes @zylev-blog
The next time he wakes up, he's wrapped in a blanket and placed on something so soft he's sinked in.
He tries to keep his breathing normal, to not alert anyone who may possibly be in the room with him, and considers his situation.
When he woke up earlier, he remembered medical equipment and a medical cot. This time, he's a little curled up, scrunched against the arm of what is presumably a sofa.
Sofa? He subtly stretches his fingers, hidden and curled around his abdomen, and realizes he's not even restrained. He stretches his senses out, and there's not even a ward in the room he's in.
The only thing keeping him here is his presumed unconsciousness, the blanket they've swaddled around him loosely, and his captors nearby.
He can hear at least one person breathing in the room with him, and further back, two more in the room beyond. He keeps himself from tensing as he registers another person in the room behind him entering silent like a mouse.
"Hey, Rob." The one sitting by his side whispers with a deep, smooth voice.
Rob doesn't answer the greeting, and only moves closer to Danny. It's hard to keep track of him, he's so light on his feet. The only thing giving him away is his heartbeat, which Danny keeps vigilant track of.
Even still, Danny flinches when a hand lightly touches his knee from where it's curled up in front of him.
"Hello. I know you're awake, and I want to make sure you know we mean you no harm. Can you....Do you feel comfortable enough to open your eyes?" This voice has a smooth tenor, soft like he's afraid of scaring Danny off. Again.
And Danny sees no point in pretending any longer, not when he can feel his powers still far and away from his grasp. His eyes flutter open, and Blue meets White for a long second. Somehow, even with the domino obscuring the other's eyes Danny can tell that this Rob is staring intently at him.
It makes him squirm inside, so he forces himself to take in his surroundings.
He's in some kind of living room. The blanket his mysterious captors have wrapped him in has an ugly floral pattern with green and white daisies.
Ironic.
Rob is still crouching slightly directly in front of him, and behind him past a large coffee table sits an Android--no, the being seems to have some organic matter--a Cyborg on a large blue armchair with a magazine on his lap. It has cars on it, from where he can see. The Cyborg is fiddling with something on his arm, but puts it down quickly enough when he sees Danny looking over. They smile at him, and that too makes him squirm.
A clatter to his left reveals another door, where a Green Humanoid and...that is definitely a magic user floating behind them, enter the room. There's a large TV screen on the wall opposite Danny playing some kind of racing movie.
"Hey! He woke up! You alright dude? Not gonna run off again are ya?" The Green one says, only to have the magic user smack them over the head for it.
Rob sighs, before straightening up and looking over towards the door behind Danny.
A second later, someone floats in and lands directly next to Robin with a wide beaming smile.
"How wonderful! You have awoken!" The pink-haired being claps their hands excitedly, even floating back up in their elation.
And that---that is Starfire. Starfire the Tamaranean. Starfire the Alien.
"Holy shit. You're Starfire." Danny's voice is raspy and he winces as his voice breaks.
Everyone perks up at that, and Danny shrinks into himself.
"I...I like space," he mumbles defensively against Rob--Robin's stare. "Aliens are cool, okay?"
He says it sotto voice, but clearly Robin and Starfire hear him as she squeals and twirls around.
"Oh yes, I am the Cool! I think you are the Cool as well, Strange Hero! We can be friends, yes?"
Danny looks up at her hopeful expression, and the only reason he doesn't immediately fold like wet tissue paper is the fact that they have for some reason decided to keep him here, and that he barely remembers what happened to get him here.
"...I don't know if I can be friends with people who won't let me leave." Danny is still trying to understand how he got here, and no amount of sad puppy dog eyes will make him forget what he's been through before.
Once burned, twice shy and all that.
"We're not keeping you here," Robin says, hands up palms down like hes trying to calm a scared animal. "We just wanted to ask you some questions after the Robot battle, but you were...extremely out of it, so we took you back to the Tower for some medical attention."
Danny tilts his head, thinking on that. He remembers the battle. He remembers seeing....seeing one of them almost grabbing up a little boy, and on the run or not Danny wasn't gonna let that happen. Especially when the boy looked like Tucker when he was that age.
He remembers being exhausted, remembers the haze of adrenaline taking over him. He thinks about how he hadn't had a chance to eat anything for a couple days, since his last run in with the vultures caused a 3 day long game of hide and seek.
He remembers thinking about skulker, and seeing Tucker, and yeah. He probably went under in a fighting fugue state.
He looks over the Titans, before letting his shoulders droop and feeling his cheeks warm up.
"Sorry. I remember now. What kind of questions did you have? I really can't stay, but I can probably answer a couple of questions at least." He looks around the room for a clock, and ends up seeing a little digital clock in the corner of the TV screen. He winces, seeing the date. He'd been out for a whole day.
"Maybe you should eat something first dude, I'm starving and I'm not the one whose been out cold for a whole day!" Beast boy says, bouncing up and heading towards the room behind him.
Raven grabs his arm before he can stray any farther, whilst Cyborg fiddles with his arm again--looking closer Danny can see a screen on it. Cool.
"Do you have any dietary restrictions?" Raven asks, heedless of Beast boys struggles to escape.
"I'm order pizza." Cyborg says immediately after. Danny looks at them, before looking at Robin and Starfire.
Robin crosses his arms, but nods his head encouragingly. Starfire floats up, hands together in a little pleading pose, clearly hoping for him to stay.
He sighs. Well. He does need the energy.
"As long as it doesn't fight back, anything is good." He rubs at his face.
He doesn't see it, but the Titans all share at confused look at that.
Starfire just nodding like 'Yes. This is sensible. Our new friend is clearly still tired. He should be conserving energy, not expending it to force the food to submit. We shall ensure this meal is already subdued for him.'
Also, how are Cyborg and Robin feeling about the guy who could just rip open a panel, glance at the internal wiring for the Tower, and see how to hotwire his way past all their clever security systems and override the door controls in less than 15 seconds? Even knowing that he is a potential ally they brought into the Tower, I imagine that hits a few paranoia buttons. Especially if this is after Terra.
Now, Danny obviously made quite the spectacle fending off those robots from civilians in his instinct driven haze before, then being carted off by the Titans afterwards. Chances stand there were at least several people documenting the attack. Which means it's only a matter of time before pictures and videos hit the broader media. Which means its only a matter of time before everyone who Danny has been running from starts making their way towards Jump City. How long before a few bright green fez wearing vultures try to get in the same way Danny was trying to get out?
If Danny can't get through the wards using his ghost powers, then chances are other ghosts can't get in either. It won't stop Vlad as a human, but the bat security will take care of that.
Danny, for arguably the first time in his life, is safe. The food doesn't come to life. His enemies can't get him. There are people who know what he is and still like him. He's safe.
Well. Since you guys have so thoughtfully given me plot and lots of things to think about....(blame the HH server for the unexpected lore and ships in this one)

"Oh! Yes. This is sensible." Starfire nods, as if that statement wasn't entirely baffling.
Dick wonders, not for the first time, if this new person of interest actually is alien in nature despite his earlier comment.
"Our new friend is clearly still tired. He should be conserving energy, not expending it to force the food to submit. We shall ensure this meal is already subdued for him, yes?" Starfire floats up, heading over to Cyborg to look over the monitor on his arm as he orders pizza.
Dick shakes his head, fond as he watches his girlfriend pick out toppings, before facing their guest.
He still looks hesitant and flighty, though the only evidence showing is his eyes darting around towards the exits and his hands twitch whenever his gaze lands on Raven.
He's running from something, that much is clear. Is someone hunting him for his powers? Focus, Dick. He clears his throat.
"So....we never actually got your name." Dick softens his voice,
Their guest jolts, tilting his head as if thinking. "I...I guess I didn't." His voice is light, airy, but he does not reveal his name. Interesting.
That means he has an identity to be careful of. Definitely not an alien, then. A meta. He glances at Beastboy, and as silly as the green boy is, he understands the gravity of meta-trafficking. BB nods, entirely unsubtle. Dick rolls his eyes inwardly.
Thankfully their guest is avoiding looking directly at Raven, and as a result also not looking at the meta standing in front of her.
"Let's start easy," Dick says, changing the subject when the silence has dragged on. None of them mention that names are usually the easiest part. "Where are you from?"
Their guest shifts, clearly thinking of how to answer. “....I'm from the midwest. Accent not enough of a clue?" Their guest smiles nervously, still a little uneasy.
"I mean, Rob over here probably knew. He knows everything." Beastboy cuts in, jabbing a thumb at Dick and rolling his eyes to show how impressed is by it, which is to say: none.
Dick scoffs. BB can pretend all he likes, Dick knows BB is impressed.
Their guest looks over at Dick, eyebrows raised, and he resists the urge to fidget as he's eyed thoughtfully. He's being measured, and Dick refuses to blush or be cowed. He thinks about their guest punching a Robot 5 times his size through a wall, about the flying, about him in the middle of a panic attack and still being able to disarm their security systems in fifteen seconds flat.
"Everything, huh?" Dick could swear his eyes flashed green, and he tried not to shiver. Instead of....all of that, Dick crosses his arms and raises a brow, smiling a bit sardonically.
"Clearly not, hence the questions." He jokes, and is rewarded with a soft smile. Their guest relaxes at the gentle banter, leaning back into the sofa. The blanket wrapped around him slips, revealing his long line of his surprisingly muscled torso.
Dick blinks. Where did that come from? He shakes his head, clearing his thoughts.
“Okay, well. How are your injuries? We didn’t want to aggravate anything while you were asleep.” We weren’t sure if you would freak out from waking up in the medbay again is what he doesn’t say.
Their guest blinks, closes his eyes, tilting his head back and forth as if taking stock. After a moment, those icy blue eyes open with another nervous smile. “I think I’ll be okay. The robots didn’t really hurt me, I was just…” He trails off, turning away and looking down. Dick can see a blush rising to his ears, and it spreads to his cheeks. The blush highlights a plethora of freckles Dick didn’t notice before.
“You were just..?” Dick prompts, rapidly thinking of possible scenarios of a runaway meta. Each one was worse than the previous.
“....I was just hungry. And sleep deprived.” Their guest finally mumbles, hunching down and re-wrapping himself in the blanket.
There’s a beat of silence, before they all laugh at that. Much to the chagrin of their guest.
“Well, it’s a great thing pizza’s on the way then.” Cyborg beams a rakish smile.
“And that you got a nap in.” Raven smirks, floating closer to the chair next to the sofa. BB follows, sitting on couch next to their guest.
Starfire is clapping gleefully, cheering about the pizzas and nap along with Beastboy. He feels a pang of guilt seeing her pretty smile and bright eyes. His girlfriend, the perfect girl, is right there and here he is, noticing some random guy. He’s not even gay!
Well. He doesn’t think he’s gay at least. His girlfriend floats over to his side with a giggle and he feels his heart do a little stutter. Yeah, definitely not gay, he sighs dreamily in his mind.
“So, like, seriously though, new guy. What’s your name? I can’t just keep calling you ‘dude,’ Raven says it’s rude.” Raven huffs but doesn’t deny it. Their guest seems to ponder that, untangling himself and, strangely enough, inspecting his own clothes and hands.
He sighs, before looking at BB resignedly. “Weird question before that, what color is my hair and my eyes?” BB tilts his head like a puppy, but goes along with it anyway.
“Uh, it’s black and blue buddy.” Their guest puts his face in his hands, groaning. Dick can hear him muttering you’ve done it now., dumbass which confuses them all.
“It’s Danny. You can call me Danny.” Starfire squeals, does that cute little fist shaking thing she does when she’s excited.
“It is very nice to meet you, Friend Danny! And your fighting was most courageous.” Danny blushes then, looking wide-eyed at Starfire, that same admiration from earlier coloring his expressions. Dick leans back, smirking, because yeah—his girlfriend is awesome.
“Thanks.” He coughs, clearly embarrassed, before blinking. “...Friend?”
“Yes, friend! You are sure now, yes? I think you are the Cool, you think I am the Cool, and we will not keep you prisoner here! That was the only hesitation, correct?” Star asks, hopefully. Dick’s heart melts, and looking at Danny’s face, he’s guessing his does too.
“...Right. Friends.” Danny fiddles with the blanket again, suddenly looking a little wistful, maybe even sad.
“You are sad. Is it not a good thing? To be friends?” She asks, clearly noticing Danny’s melancholy. His head shoots up, panicked.
“No, no! It’s great! It’s awesome, I’ve always wanted to be your friend since–well, since I first saw the Titans on TV.” Danny scratches the back of his head, shy. “It’s just…well. I just miss my friends, is all.” His voice slowly loses volume, but they all hear it anyway.
Before any of them can break the sudden awkward silence, the doorbell chimes and BB perks up into dog form before shooting off to no doubt grab the pizzas.
Cyborg coughs then, drawing attention back to him. “So. Was it just Starfire that you wanted to be friends with?” Cy smirks, crossing his arms and waggling his eyebrows playfully.
Danny turns that fetching shade of red again, freckles once more making themselves known. He doesn’t answer, eyes darting to each Titan, before looking up to the ceiling with a groan. Everyone laughs at that again.
“Boys.” Raven scoffs, though she’s smiling and clearly joking.
“Listen. Listen. It’s not–it’s not what you think okay? I really like space. I’m the same way with Martain Manhunter, and even Superman. Wonder Woman too, but only because I know her—” He stutters a bit, “---her history as a warrior of Themyscira.” Strange. He was clearly about to say something else, but Dick can’t really fathom what.
Just then, BB comes walking back in with an absurd amount of pizzas stacked in his arms. They all settle, crowded around the coffee table in chairs or sofas or on the floor in BB’s case.
Danny is somehow squished on the sofa between him and his girlfriend, and Dick is somehow not even angry about it.
Danny and Starfire are talking about Tamaran, and its culture and foods. Danny is rapt, asking question after question and taking each answer in stride.
“So you absorb UV radiation? I wonder why your starbolts are green then…” Danny mumbles to himself as he stuffs another slice of pizza into his mouth.
“What do you mean?” Cyborg cuts in, confused.
“Well, If her physiology is dependent on UV radiation, it should be purple, or more precisely ultra-violet, hence UV.” Danny answers, absentmindedly as he is clearly deep in thought.
“Aren’t her beams green because her eyes are green?” BB asks, he looks at his own green skin, wonderingly. That brings Danny up short.
“...Huh. You know, that’s a good point. I guess that’s why Fruit Loop’s was pink…” He mumbles.
“Fruit Loop?” Raven asks, confusion clear on her usually stoic face. Danny flaps a hand at her, dismissive, but his body is tense as if he hadn’t meant to say that.
“Don’t worry about it.” Dick would very much like to worry about it, but he’s not sure how to broach the subject without having Danny try and bolt.
The TV program they’ve had running in the background for ambient noises suddenly starts obnoxiously singing, causing everyone to flinch. Cyborg shuffles the channels, before landing on the local news of yesterday’s incident.
“Oh hey! We’re on TV again!” BB cheers, fist pumping. Just then, a clip of a child fallen down on the ground plays, a robot about to step on them. Danny can be seen, running up out of nowhere and stopping the foot with one hand, he scoops the kid into his free arm, talking softly to the boy, before heaving the foot off. He runs off with the kid, before the scene cuts again to Danny jumping off a roof and punching a robot down into the ground, landing in a neat little crouch. He’s not even breathing hard. Dick shivers, watching text at the bottom scroll from left to right.
“A new super on the scene?” Raven reads, intrigued, and turns to Danny to clearly ask if he’s related.
Except Danny is frozen, scared. His eyes are dilated, like he’s being hunted. He shoots up, patting himself down, and folding the blanket that was on his lap.
“I–I gotta go. Sorry I can’t answer anymore questions.” Danny says, turning towards Raven. “Could you uh, let me out? It’s your magic, right? That’s preventing me?”
Dick is standing, had shot up when Danny did out of vigilance and habit, and is just about to try and reassure Danny before he realizes he’s stuck.
The pizzas are gone now, and he promised they weren’t gonna keep Danny from leaving. Shit. He looks over at Cyborg, who shrugs helplessly. He looks over at Starfire, but she’s already floating towards Danny, who is walking closer to Raven and holding out a hand to help her up from her chair–even though Raven could just float.
“Perhaps we can help? You are…you are afraid, yes?” Starfire tries, but Danny ignores her.
Raven looks at Dick, but he doesn’t…he doesn’t know what to do. They want to help, clearly they all want to help, but if Danny doesn’t want to…He nods at her, defeated. Raven takes a deep breath, but takes Danny’s hand anyway.
And then Danny’s eyes flash green at the same time Raven’s glow white. It was just a moment, but the brightness was unmistakable. Both of them gasp, Raven collapsing back and Danny stepping away.
They stare at each other wide-eyed, but this time their expressions are of shock and bewilderment.
“You….” Danny says, breathless. “How are you sane with that thing inside you?”
Raven tenses, but her stare doesn’t stray, “Who are you? He…he went quiet.” Her voice cracks, and black light flickers and snaps around her as she struggles to keep her powers at bay.
Danny lunges forward, causing BB to defensively crouch up, but all Danny does is hold her hand again. The lights stop flickering, and she breathes a little calmer.
There’s a long moment, where Danny searches her eyes. He dons a determined look, the same look he had when he saved that kid out on the street, fear long forgotten.
“You’re one of mine. And I protect what’s mine.” He says solemnly, nonsensically. It should sound possessive, creepy even. But the weight of his words…Raven nods slowly, before catching herself.
“I’m bound to him, by blood.” Raven shakes, “I’m…He’s…”
Danny looks furious now. “But you want him out. You want him gone. Your family, your real family, it’s them, isn’t it?” Danny sweeps an arm at the rest of the Titans, who have frozen in confusion. Raven slumps, eyes clenching tight. She shakily nods.
Danny, permission granted, eyes her–darting from all over her body, before settling on the marking on her forehead. He looks at his free hand, flexing it and taking a deep breath. He places his palm over the mark, and Raven’s expression smooths out, almost trance-like, and both their eyes glow again.
There’s another long moment, where they stay like that and the Titans—the Titan’s just watch.
Danny growls, suddenly, voice almost inhuman and staticky. That anger is still there, but he smirks.
“Shut the fuck up, old man. She’s mine before yours.” The last part is hissed, before the lights flare out, and they’re both breathing deeply. Danny even collapses on one of his knees.
Raven is—Raven is crying.
“Raven!” They all yell, suddenly snapped out of their own trance, and all frantically trying to figure out if Raven is okay.
“He’s….he’s gone.” Raven whispers, can barely be heard. She looks up at Beastboy, forefront of the group with his hands on her shoulders in pure frantic worry. She smiles shakily at him, reaching for him into a hug.
Beastboy holds her, softly asking, “Who?”
“Trigon.”
Everyone is speechless at that. Trigon? Gone? Just like that?
Suddenly Raven jolts up, looking around before her gaze lands on Danny.
He’s still on his knee, but he’s farther away than he was before. He’s clutching at his head with one hand, and using his other hand to keep himself up right by bracing it on the floor.
He’s also heaving. He looks up when he feels everyone’s gaze on him.
“I….I might need another….nap….” He grits out, before his eyes roll into the back of his head and he passes out.
Gotta love Dick being a confused baby bi with his father's taste in partners (ie, people who could snap him in half like a toothpick).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the the way he's reacting seems like Danny may have taken Trigon into his own mind? Even if only long enough to resoundedly kick his ass back to whichever Hell dimension he came from. Can't imagine Trigon went quietly though. Probably gave plenty of new nightmare fuel on the way out. Of course, depending on why exactly Danny is on the run bad reveal and/or GIW lab rat?, maybe there wasn't really anything for Trigon to throw at Danny that's any worse than the nightmares he's already lived through.
Seems like, however he dealt with Trigon and whatever the after effects of that may be, Danny is down for the count for now. Surely he'll be out long enough for at least some of his enemies to catch up.
Thanks for reminding me that I should finish this.
Hope you like the shenanigans--this one is more lighthearted and not meant to be super plot heavy so this might actually be the last installment, who knows?
Enjoy!

Raven is kind of freaking the fuck out.
Her head feels so…empty.
It feels cavernous, in her mind. Overwhelmingly so.
As Garfield would say, there’s a lot of space for activities.
It feels overwhelming, almost oppressive. She would even call it claustrophobic, if it weren’t so oxymoronic.
Her powers keep glitching, stutter-stepping from the euphoria, the dissonance.
It’s like she’s taken her first breath, after being stuffed in a dark box for so long.
And it’s sweet, it’s amazing. She’s free.
But it’s…it’s so cold, out in the wide open space. Alone.
And here is the truth of it all:
She’s scared.
She stares at the boy before her, sleeping almost peacefully on Raven’s bed. She herself is floating in her usual crisscross pose, trying not to feel like a creep.
She’s largely unsuccessful, but she feels like maybe Danny would like waking up not alone—call it instinct.
Cyborg almost carried him back to the sofa, still wary about Danny’s panicked reaction to waking up in the medbay, before Raven offered her bed instead.
It was the least she could do.
The problem is, Danny passed out before she could actually figure out what had happened—what Danny actually did.
All she remembers is the not quite dark with pinpricks of lights surrounding her, her thoughts going slow and hazy like molasses within that aimless void.
She had drifted, ensconced safely in this strangely warm, vast and endless space until she was shunted out.
And when she opened her eyes, it was quiet.
She shakes her head, unfocused eyes sharpening once more, trying to take in more details about her savior as he breathes softly, slowly, shallowly.
Danny is pale, paler than even her, stark against her dark sheets. He almost looks dead, and that thought scares her almost as much as the stretching silence in her head.
Something catches her eye, there and not. When she looks, really looks, she notices a glint of something on his hand, above his head. Pinpricks. She squints, reading for the closest one: his hand. It looks….it looks like a ring. No, a skull….
Just before she makes contact, alarms blare all around the Tower, shattering the peace and flashing the lights in her room.
Intruders.
She straightens up, floating quickly to her door. She takes one last glance at Danny, sleeping peacefully despite the noise and chaos.
She wonders if whatever he’s been running from has finally caught up.
Well, she thinks as she exits her room and heads towards the living room, a favor for a favor, right?

Vultures.
Vultures?
Green Vultures.
Cyborg looks over at Beast Boy, who is staring at the security screens next to him in unadulterated confusion and hesitant awe.
“Friends of yours?” BB, with his mouth still gaping open in shock, slowly shakes his head no.
“Are these creatures the cause for Friend Danny’s troubles?” Starfire asks, finger to her lip in thought as she hovers up to inspect the screen closer.
He tugs her down by the ankle to make her back up, then taps a couple buttons to zoom in on the fifth camera.
A batarang swings through each of the vultures, causing them to squawk and scoff before they resume trying to get past Raven’s wards.
A door swishes open, and speak of the devil.
“Hey, Rave. We got guests. Rob just confirmed they might be, uh, Danny’s friends.” He thinks about how Danny had disappeared in his panic, but managed to ping the security systems and wards all over the Tower at neck-breaking speeds. He could have density shifted, maybe even have some flight, and probably went invisible. On a smaller screen, he rewinds the footage to see the three Vultures popping into existence after pinging the security system twice.
Raven looks at the screen, and her irritation causes a large vein to pop on her forehead. Uh oh.
She aggressively pops up her hood as the black light of her powers pool beneath her, stretching up as she lowers herself down to disappear.
Just as the fragments of light flicker out, Robin walks in, juggling a couple of batarangs before pocketing them into that Mary Poppins utility belt of his.
“They called me a stooge.” Robin would sound irritated, if he didn’t look so bored about it.
“Raven already went out to take care of it. I think she’s pissed.” Cyborg informs him, as Rob slumps down onto the couch with Starfire floating delicately down to sit beside him.
“There she is!” BB says, excited. Cyborg internally sighs, and wonders when BB will get his shit together. He wonders if Jinx is free this weekend, and if they could maybe catch a movie later. He shakes his head of those thoughts and focuses on the screen where Raven is solidly kicking green vulture butt.
Boo Yah.

Beast Boy stares at the now miniature vultures, trapped in Raven’s super cool, majorly awesome ball of light, and wonders if Danny will be their real friend now.
He taps at the ball delicately, he’s been on the other side of this equation before, and figures it at least couldn’t hurt. He watches it spin from his tap, changes into a bird and flaps his wings to toss it up gently.
The Vultures keep squawking at them, speaking in tongues, and it’s kind of stupidly frustrating. BB had changed into a Vulture himself, to try and see if he could communicate with them, but ultimately didn’t understand a single word they said. It was all staticky and garbled.
He perches on the ball, pushing it down until it’s just above the console of the security system, before changing into an anaconda to wrap around it like an egg. He flicks a forked tongue at it, not exactly enjoying the scent/taste of Raven’s magic, but not exactly opposed to it either.
The doorbell rings, and BB looks up at the screens from his little pile of himself to be faced with what can only be described as a duo of mucho weirdos. (And he knows weirdos, okay.)
It’s two men dressed in white suits, banging on the door and jabbing at the doorbell again even though they can surely hear the doorbell even from outside.
He changes back into himself, gently tossing the ball up to float in the air as he turns to Cyborg walking into the room.
“Rob’s got it.” Cy says, settling himself back in his usual seat at the console.
“Sweet.” he jumps, turning into a rat and climbing onto Cy’s shoulder to spectate.
They watch as Robin opens the door and chats with the agents, volleying back and forth. The audio’s on the fritz from whatever hacker thing Danny did the first time he woke up, so they stew in their curiosity as they watch Robin get increasingly annoyed.
It’s not super obvious, but they’ve been on a team with grumpy gus for years, they know when Rob’s about to lose his shit.
“Uh Oh. Someones in trouble…” Cy hums, almost gleeful.
They watch at the two men in white pull out some kind of badge, and some nasty looking guns. Cy sits up, and BB turns into a cat just to hiss.
They relax as soon as they see Robin dispatch both of them quickly, in almost a blur. Both men are on their butts now, one of them looking dizzy as hell.
Behind Robin, glowing green eyes make themselves known as Starfire floats out and scuffs one of them up with one hand like a particularly naughty kitten.
She growls something, causing both Cy and him to shiver, Raven’s scary when she’s mad but when Starfire’s mad…..
It’s quick work after that. Robin brings out his communicator, no doubt calling someone, and dark tendrils erupt from the ground and swallow the two dunces in white without a trace.
Rob and Star head back in and shut the door. A minute later, Starfire enters the living room with an irritated look on her face.
“Everything okay Star?” BB says, changing back to humanoid form and walking towards her to meet in the middle with Cyborg right behind him.
“They were Very Rude.” Starfire huffs, crossing her arms and looking like she’s about to blow something up. He can hear the capital letters and everything.
“What’d they say?” Cyborg asks, whistling at the thought of someone pissing off Starfire this much.
“They called Friend Danny many rude things, and said many untrue lies. Accused him of being an abomination. Spoke up experimentation.” Star spits, which is jarring in and of itself, even without the contents of the words.
“Not Cool.” And oh, he’s accidentally turned sorta tiger-y with the growl and fangs. He takes a deep breath and shakes off the feline features.
“I’m guessing Raven’s showing them what’s for?” Cy smirks.
“Oh yes!” Star claps delightedly, suddenly very chipper and gleeful. “And dear Robin has told me he will ‘play’ with them later!”
BB can feel a feral grin grow on his face, and doesn’t stop the fangs.
“Do you think he’ll let me have a turn?”
Starfire grins.

Anti-Ecto Acts.
Dick tries not to barf, not to scream, not to break something. He settles for cuddling with his girlfriend and reading a book.
Bruce taught him well, so by the time he’s done with the so-called Ghost Investigation Ward Agents, he’s got a solid plan on how to get rid of them and a decent enough speech to convince Danny to stay.
Step one involves talking to Bruce though, though he could probably circumvent that by going through Superman or Wonder Woman, so he decides he’ll….leave it for later.
They’re not exactly on the greatest of terms right now, after all.
Dick shakes his head, dispelling any emotions that brings up.
Step two involved Danny actually waking up. He looks over at the boy now, still sleeping peacefully despite all the loud noises that have been plaguing the Tower today, before focusing on his book once more.
The Titans are all gathered in Raven’s room now, a rare boon that she has granted for the sake of their guest.
Cyborg is chilling on one of the beanbag chairs he dragged in from the living room with a laptop, doing God knows what.
He and Starfire are cuddled up on the second one, whilst Beastboy has turned into a lion that’s leisurely napping. Raven is on a cushion on the floor, not floating for once and leaning back into the cradle that BB makes with his big cat body.
Music is softly playing from Cy’s laptop, Starfire is humming along as she pets Silkie in her lap, and Raven is just staring.
It’s been a quiet couple hours since their last disturbance.
He’s just gotten to the penultimate chapter when a groan echoes in the room, and looking up reveals a slowly waking up Danny.
“Ugh, did I get run over by the GAV again, and if so who let my Dad drive it?” That was….a concerning thing to hear. Dick’s not even sure what to say to that.
“Danny?” Raven calls out, getting up and reaching a hand before apparently deciding against it.
“Yeah?” Danny groans, rubbing at his face. He seems to remember everything the second he opens his eyes and looks at his surroundings. “Right. Uh.”
He looks over at Raven. “Did it work?”
Raven smiles incredulously, before nodding. “Yeah. Yeah it worked.” Danny smiles, nodding.
“Could you possibly elaborate what exactly worked?” Dick cuts in, breath hitching a bit as those blue eyes dart to him and flash green for a millisecond.
“I yeeted him.” Danny shrugged, sitting up and settling himself against the headboard.
“But how?” He’s trying not to sound desperate, and for once is pathetically grateful for the bat-training because he’s pretty sure he largely succeeds.
“Well, I—” Danny scratches at the back of his head, clearly trying to parse out what he’s going to say, when the alarm goes off for the third time today. Dick is getting very fucking tired.
“What the…” Cyborg mutters, “Are Vampires a thing?” He shuts off the blare but the lights continue the flash silently.
The air gets frosty, suddenly, Danny’s breath hitching in the sudden silence causing everyone to look at him.
He looks, not scared exactly, but haunted. Tired. “Fucking fruitloop.” Danny covers his eyes and groans as he sinks down into the bed. “This is what I wanted to avoid.”
“It wasn’t just the Anti-Ecto Acts?” Dick says, as casually as possible. Danny bolts up, wide-eyed and looking like he’s a second away from trying to escape again.
Dick puts his hands up, placating. “We’re on your side, we are Pro-Ecto Being.”
“Yeah dude, there’s no way we would ever support that—that..” BB trails off growling, now in his human form with bonus fangs in his agitation.
“What they are doing is unacceptable.” Starfire agrees, “We would never be on the side of such evils.”
Danny stares at them for a second, shocked and, God, hopeful. Raven gently presses a hand on his shoulder, and when they meet eyes Danny slumps back like a puppet whose strings have been cut.
“So. Not to ruin the moment, but whose Vampire Dude?” Cyborg interjects, causing another groan from where Danny has buried himself in Raven’s blankets.
“He’s one of my rogues.” Danny’s voice is muffled, but they can still understand him.
Rogues imply vigilantism. Is Danny a vigilante of some sort? A hero?
“Though all he really wants to do is marry my mom and make me his ‘perfect son’ or heir or whatever.” Danny leans up on an elbow with a deadpan face.
“He wants to kill my Dad to replace him, nevermind that he totally has a hate boner—heavy on the boner—for him.” Robin can feel his jaw flapping open and shut because, what do you say to thati?
“What, he never heard of polyamory?” Beast Boy grumbles.
“That’s what I’m saying!” Danny flails his arms at BB emphatically and for some reason thankful.
“What is the Polyamory?” Starfire asks.
“It’s when a relationship involved more than two people.” Beastboy explains, “It happens a lot in the Animal Kingdom.”
“...Isn’t that just cheating?” Cyborg asks, face scrunched up and confused.
Raven sighs. “No. It’s consensual. One person can date two people, but those people don’t have to date each other. Or they can all date each other, as long as everyone is communicating.”
“...You can do that?” Dick asks, almost breathless. He’s flicking a glance between his girlfriend and Danny and feeling all sorts of feelings he’s not sure he wants to have.
“Dude. Isn’t Batman like, dating both Superman and Wonder Woman?” Beast Boy asks him incredulously and. What.
“What?!” Cyborg starts laughing, with Raven and even Danny joining in. “No. No no no no! We are not talking about this!”
“Because you are the Embarrassed?” Starfire smirks, “On Tamaran we have something similar. It is not so unusual. But only with permission.” Her eyes glint, and he gulps heavily.
“Because it’’s not true!” Dick almost squeaks, “Batman does not date!” Cyborg and Raven scoff at that, which is understandable. Dick knows about Selena. And Harvey. And—you know what, Dick’s not gonna go there.
“Just. What do you want to do about the Vampire guy. If he’s like the Vultures then Raven can probably dispatch him.” Dick huffs. Danny stretches, before he freezes.
“Vultures?” Danny looks over at Raven, who presents the little ball of light. Danny stares at it for a moment, Dick can practically see the gears turning, before he sighs.
“Alright. Might as well. Look away for a bit, it’s gonna be bright.” Dick barely has a chance to shut his eyes before a bright light encircles Danny, and when he blinks away the spots a white haired green eyed version of Danny in a very form-fitting hazmat suit floats in the middle of the room.
“Call me Phantom in this form. Just. Give me a second to deal with Vlad the Impaler, and then we can….we can talk.” He flicks a glowing gaze towards Raven. “We have to hash some things out about the Old Fart that used to be in your head anyway. Mind lowering the wards for me?”
Raven nods, and just like that Danny is gone. They all scramble towards Cyborg, who fullscreens the security feed just as Danny punches Vampire dude off screen.
Danny looks into the camera, smiles, and winks before flying off.
Holy shit. Dick has really gotta look up polyamory later.
He wonders if Star would be opposed.
Judging by the knowing smile and glint in her eyes as she points out Danny's gallant fighting form, he figures he might just have a shot.
Constantine was poring over book after book with the JLD around a summoning circle. It's gone on for long enough that Batman dismissed the other members for the night. He needed 60 cc of beer injected into his veins, or he was going to pull his hair out. This had to be the right one!
The circles glow brightly before the light fizzles... Into yet another skeletal hand flipping the bird and joining the small mountain of them.
Constantine: "That's it! There's no way to summon the king of the bloody dead!"
???: "Oooohhhh! That's who you're trying to summon. Yeah, their method is pretty unique." A boisterous laugh fills the room.
Constantine turns around like a bat out of hell, his bloodshot eyes meeting the bright blues of Shazam, wiping the tears out of his.
Constantine: "You know how to summon the bastard? Do it. For the love of-!"
Shazam: Sure, but uh, does anyone know any good burger places?
One group burger trip later
Billy places the food bag in the center. He takes a bite out of his burger, muffles an incantation, and finishes it off with a sip of his drink.
The bag floats up as a skeletal hand in chains rips through the air. Ice crawls up the skeleton as snow blankets them in detailed robes. The chains shatter and reform into a collection of arms sprouting from another. It slices through the air, releasing a blizzard that compacted into a deathly chilling blade.
The figure's ice blue eyes flash to life, and they bellow, "FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS I LAID DORMANT! WHO DARES TO DISTURB MY- Oh, it's you. "
Dropping the voice, ice shifts to pale blue skin, their scythe disassembles, and connects into a ring, a flock of flipped birds hovering over their head forming a crown. The spirit reaches into the bag and scarfs some fries.
Billy beams, "Hey, Danny!"
