From the start we see that Bobby is an extremely flawed man. We see his self-destructive nature very early on, we see how harshly acts at times, and how he seems to undermine people. Extremely troubled,, and we also get to see that Aaron isnt too different, he is simply a more composed man due to his job and how he grew up. Now, we stablish their flaws, this means they'll get better by the end of the movie, right? Nopeee. This is the type of movie that sends their characters into a spiral,, at first it seems that they genuinely complement each other, that its all gonna get better, but that couldnt be farther from the truth. You see the way Bobby grew up, it was in such a way that shunned his self in a very cruel way; his parents were supportive, but perhaps overly extremist, and apparently many people were against the idea of him being himself. This may have caused a LOT of bunched up feelings inside of him, that shaped him into the "emotionally unavailable" man he is thorough the movie. I see some people complain about the the tons of sex scenes there are in the movie, but maybe if you stop seeing it as actual sex and more like.. Horny, porn sex. Reminder most of the sex scenes happen between the time they meet in the club and start hanging out, so they probably dont care at all. They're just horny for each other. You can actually tell the progression as the movie goes, at first its just sex, but then it turns into something more passionate(?) whrn their relationship grows into something more than just intercourse(maybe its just me but i punctuate this stage with the conversation they have after that one scene..),,.,,.
