Deep down everyone knows which character makes the most sense to end up with leon and yeah I get shipping him with other characters for fun and stuff but it’s annoying when someone intentionally chose to twist canon and mischaracterise the characters just to fit current narrative

The toxic shipping discourse in the Resident Evil fandom is something else. I have the misfortune of seeing such topics on my Twitter. Not sure if it’s bad on this app too. And hopefully that one RE shipper that ended up blocking me was an outlier case.

The RE series/movies/games/shows is not a romance first and foremost. And secondly, the only confirmed pairings are dead. So with this piece of media where romance isn’t a major element and there aren’t any confirmed pairings between our beloved characters, why is everyone at each other’s throats trying to prove that they are in the correct, especially when we could all end up being the wrong? But we probably will never know. And if anyway thinks I’m vagueposting, people should know what groups of people I’m talking about. It’s beyond pathetic at this point.

I’m not looking to force my views/opinions on others, and you shouldn’t try to either. I’m gonna continue shipping Cleon, whether it’s canon, non-canon, or doomed, no matter what.
