girls dont want a man they want to dress like lily munster
You couldnât do a working class version of the Addams Family without turning them into something else entirely, because the fundamental ambiguity of âokay, are these people, like, vampires or something, or are rich people just Like Thatâ is absolutely essential to the bit.
As much as I first thought of the Munsters as well, but⌠thereâs also nothing ambiguous about them. Grandpa is 100% undeniably a vampire (and might be THE Dracula). Herman is absolutely a Frankenstein.
Also⌠the Munsters arenât really âlike thatâ. Theyâre much more ordinary joes than the Addamses.

Well, thatâs the âworking classâ side of things.
You make a convincing case, though â thereâs nothing ambiguous about the Munsters, @prokopetz was correct: despite the apparent similarities, they really are âsomething else entirelyâ than the Addamses.
That said, a crossover could be entertaining. Gomez (who has no class consciousness whatsoever) would decide that Herman is his New Best Friend, while Herman (who DOES, but in that âI am Solidly Middle Class and that is where I belongâ way) would find Gomezâs eternal enthusiasm, frivolous hobbies, and casually throwing around money to be grating. (This is, of course, the Obnoxious Neighbor trope thatâs a pillar of sitcom humor.)
Morticia and Lily would get along acceptably, though Lily might find Morticia a bit cold and possibly interpret that as âsnobbish.â
Fester and Grandpa? They would be instant BFFs, and get into SO. MUCH. CHAOS.
