Shut Up & Drive// Annaleigh & Aaron
Annaleigh was always in for a party and honestly, this was one of a hell good party. At first, she could count how many glasses of alcohol she drunk, but eventually she lost count and just continued enjoying, or more loving the party. Hot guys had been everywhere but most of them were assholes. Not that she minded, Annaleigh loved assholes mainly because she was one herself. She hated kind, sweet, gentle guys. They simply couldnât handle her.
Not that she was here for the guys. Sure, they sometimes entertained her and made her laugh because they were that stupid. She was just chilling with a few friends. The one shot of alcohol to another one. Vodka, tequila, Bacardi you name it. She really had a fun time until lame people started to scream and stressed out. Annaleigh had no freaking idea what was happening, mainly because she was drunk and she actually thought the red blue lights were something that belonged to the party. ââOh please, chill the fuck out. Itâs justâŚââ She had this big, loveable smile at her face and pointed to the lights. It was until she heard two solid knocks on the door and her entire face expression changed.
ââCops.ââ She muttered rather hurt and stressed out. She immediately turned around to some window and got out, not giving two shits about leaving her friends there. ââExcuse me, I need to save my freaking ass.ââ She muttered underneath her tone rather annoyed as she grabbed a hold of a girls arm and pushed her away from the window. She wanted to be the first to take off, obviously. The girl cursed but honestly, Annaleigh didnât care, nor could she curse back because letâs be honest; what was more important â saving her ass or getting into a fight with some bimbo? The decision was easily made, really.
She run off to some road and jumped into the bushes. Because yeah, she had no better place to hide plus her friends had her car keys because she was that kinda girl when she got drunk, she simply loses everything. ââThey destroyed my party they stupid jerks.ââ She muttered to herself, getting annoyed by the bushes. It was until she noticed an guy biking â and he was biking to her direction. She pinched her eyes together, trying to observe the guy as she noticed he was from the party as well. Her friend couldnât stop drooling over him. She rolled her eyes with having that thought and simply came out of the stupid bushes and run behind him, clinging onto his jacket as she jumped on the back of the bike â he probably almost pied himself because hell, an person he didnât even know jumped on his bike just like that.
ââDrive. Fucking drive!ââ
She hissed, realizing the cops were behind them. She tucked a blond hair lock behind her ear as her pierce blue eyes observed the view from the back a little bit, the cops were close â but not that close. But they were getting close. ââOh come on, you bike like a chick!ââ She said, rolling with her eyes once. The next moment, he swung a little bit with the bike and she hoped he didnât did that on purpose. ââShit!ââ She yelled, wrapping her arms around him as she pinched her eyes together. ââI swear if you do that one more time, my ass wonât be the only one ending up on the cold harsh ground.ââÂ
Aaron's jaw practically dropped to the ground as he listened to the young woman speaks to him. He had absolutely no idea who she was, but it was obvious she was from the party, due to the fact that he could smell the alcohol on her breath, but still he had no idea what to think of this.
âŚor her
In a normal situation he would have had no problem with some random chick flinging herself at him and wrapping her arms around him, especially if she was pretty, and, man this chick was drop dead gorgeous! But in this situation he was on the run from the police with some random stranger, who seem like she was really relaying on him to get her to safety and he wasnât sure how to take that.
Aaronâs teeth sunk into his lower lip as he shifted the bikes gears and set off at a faster speed, decided finally that there really wasnât much he could do at the moment with polices cars riding his tail. âAlright! Geez, calm your shit!â He barked out, not sure if she could hear him past the roaring wind. âIâm gonna get our asses out of here!â
The scenery flashed past them and dust clouded the air as moving tires arose it, making it reasonably hard for one to make out the road from the ditch and although Aaron was really one for danger, he could feel his stomach do flips at the thought of them broken at the shoulder of the road because of stupid idea to out run the law, and as if the world could hear his thoughts the bike swerved dangerously again as the tires met gravel.
There was brief moment of panic between the both of them, where Aaron could have sworn he could hear his own yelp join the noise polluted air and the already death grip of the chick behind him become yet even tauter around him. As if it was part of him Aaron pulled the bike back, still feeling as if his heart was in his throat even though the bike was back driving smoothly.
There was a noise behind him, of which Aaron thought to be an irritated sigh and he could practically feel the piercing stare bearing holes into the back of his skull, making him almost forget about the sirens behind them. âLook, Iâm sorry! But I am gonna get us out of this mess! Just can ya loosen your gripâŚI canât breathe!âÂ

NOW GO
Shut Up & Drive// Annaleigh & Aaron
It had been great. The party had been great; one of the best parties Aaron had been to in a while, great lighting and music, and enough drinks to go all around. Aaron had come with a group of his friends who knew the person who was throwing it and had been enjoying the time like everyone else had.
âŚUntil the cops came.
Everything seemed to instantly die when the red and blue lights flashed through the windows. The room had fallen silent; quiet enough that you could have heard a pin drop on to the ground, until there was two solid knocks on the door and everyone went crazy.
The whole crowd dropped what they were doing and took off running for anyway out of the place, whether it be a backdoor or an window. People were pushing and shoving friends and foes out of their ways, all just desperate not to get caught.
It had been no different for Aaron, who all too well knew what it was like to spend the night in a jail cell and had much better plans for the night. Heâd taken a run for the nearest window, barely noticing that heâd left his friends somewhere behind in the building, and made a bee line to were his borrowed motorcycle was sitting.
His heart was racing and felt as though it was ready to jump up into his throat, but that was the way he always felt when he wound up in a situation like this and he knew he just had to push the feeling down so it was out of the way if he wanted to get himself out of this circumstance.
Aaron bit his lower lip as he search his pockets for the keys, quickly jabbing them into the ignition and hopping on the bike when he found them. The bike roared to life and surprisingly he could hear the shouts of a cop in the distance telling him to leave the bike and put his hands on his head.
But like hell he was going to!
He put the bike into gear and took off towards the road, gasping in surprise as something grabbed him from behind and without realize what he was even doing he slowed the bike and looked over his shoulder, even more surprised to find a young woman sitting behind him, clinging onto his jacket with one major death grip.
â..Whaââ Aaron began to mumble out, but was quickly cut off by her.
âDrive! Fucking drive!â
âNever?â she said as her voice sounded a little surprised but then smiled. âYou should check it out, itâs worth it.â she then suggested. It was indeed a great place though, she might go there again. She only came thereâŚ
Avery looked at you while biting her lowerlip, as you said youâd work if she would let you pay the mirror Avery sighed and nodded then. âAlright, go ahead.â She said and smiled softly afterwards. Avery put her purse back in her bag and hung it over her shoulder. She wasnât trying to pay again, since youâd said she didnât have to. Avery decided to stay with you while you were going to finish your work, she didnât mind waiting though. Plus she kind of..liked your company.
She just looked back at you as you were in thoughts, smiling secretly on your reaction. âThank you so much.â She then said as she glanced at the fixed mirror. Avery sighed relieved and looked up at your green eyes when you asked if you could show her the car you were talking about she quickly nodded her head. âYeah, show me!â She said curiously and started following after you. Avery laughed softly when you said she probably could help you fixing it she shrugged.
"I can try." She said grinning. She didnât do much with cars, but she always wanted to know how to fix cars. It was kind of interesting, well, to her since she knew many other girls didnât care about it. When you said you didnât mind driving her later she shook her head. "No no..weâll discuss it when youâre finished." She said. She had to think about it though. She still wanted to go to the club with you, but she could also book a hotel..but she was wondering if you wanted to stay there for one night too since they were gonna share a car. Avery Just looked around the garage and then in front of her as you were leading her to the messed up car. There she saw a car, that looked as if some giant had stepped on it. "Whoa, is that the car?" She raised her eyebrows and stared at the broken car. The front was crashed as if there was nothing left. Also because you were fixing it and probably had to take out lots of things.
He was pleased to see that she was interested to see the car and was more than willing to show her the car. He opened the door to the garage for her and led her over to where the car was parked in a messed up heap. âHere it isâŚâ
Aaron smiled softly at her reaction too seeing the messed up car. âYupâŚitâs a mess, huh?â He moved over to the car and dropped the tools he was carrying on the floor beside the vehicleâs wheel. âI donât think itâll be fixed by the end of the hour,â Aaron said with a sigh, âitâs going to need some new parts that need to be ordered, but at the moment Iâm just gonna try to get out as many dents as I can.â
He looked at Avery who was eyeing the car. âOwner crashed into their garage doorâŚâ He chuckled and rolled his green eyes, âI think the door won.â He knew he really shouldnât be telling her everything about the costumers that came into the shop seeking help, but he really didnât care; anything that he could think of to keep the awkward silent that he so hated out of the air was good.
âItâs gonna take me âbout a week I think to get it up and running again.â Aaron frowned briefly and crouched beside what appeared to one of the doors that had been removed from the car and had the inside part taken out so it was just the metal shell. He picked up a hammer and gently tapped on the metal, knocking a dent out and looked up at her again, âEspecially at the rate Iâm workinâ at right now!â
With a shrug he stood back up to his full height and stared into her eyes, suddenly just wanted to know so much more about her; she just seemed to be different from those usual girls he was always meeting. âUm so yeahâŚâ He muttered and scratched the back of his neck, wondering how to go about asking her about herself, but not able to come up with anything.
Why was he being such a chicken?!
"Yeah, the door definitely won." She reacted with a soft laugh. Avery couldnât believe her eyes, and that were able to fix this messed up car. Avery picked up a piece of steel that was in front of her and looked at it then put it back on a side. "How on earth can you do this." Avery waved at the car and chuckled. She was quite impressed that you could do something like that, she loved to see what skills people got. They all had different likes and skills, unfortunately hers wasnât at repearing cars.
"Thatâs a shame. I mean you canât get those stuff you need now, right?" She said, mentioning the delivery that took ages. avery nodded agreed her head when you said that you would take out as many dents as you could. "Do that, I can help you. I mean it," she said and chuckled softly afterwards.
"So you have to fix this all by yourself?"
Avery wondered as her colorful eyes were staring at your nature ones. She just gazed at you stood up. There was something about you, as if you were struggling on something. She noticed the curiousity in your eyes as they both remained silence. Few seconds later a soft smile curled upon her lips. âYouâve got beautiful eyes. So green, i could stare at them forever..as if they take me deep into the nature.â She blurred out without even knowing. She raised her eyebrows when she realized she just said that and then shrugged. Who cared, you might had heard that a lot. And she didnât regret anyway.
She had just met you and she had this feeling that she didnât want to disconnect from you. It was strange, but she couldnât explain it herself. Perhaps it were just your charms, but she knew that it werenât them, just really you. Right now she couldnât wait to spend her time at the club with you. Her colorful eyes were looking down for a second as they had been staring each other for minutes now, avery chuckled about it.
Aaron gave the young woman standing next to him a soft smile when she asked if she could be of any help, âOf course, if ya want to try your hand at fixinâ this mess Iâd be more than happy to let you.â He said and made a face at the smashed car. âYup, itâs just me working on this piece of junkâŚitâs usually me and the boss that work here, but heâs not here right now.â He mused for a moment, glad that the boss had decided to leave early, leaving Aaron to lock the place up.
To his surprise she was staring back into his eyes and he almost forgotten what he was actually supposed to be doing, until he found himself on the verge of blushing an amazingly deep shade of red when she made a comment about his eyes, bringing him out of his brief zone-out moment.
It wasnât actually a feature that many women noticed right away, they were always saying things about his personality, about his laugh or even his muscles, so he really wasnât sure what to say. âUm thanksâŚyouâve got some gorgeous eyes herself.â He said truthfully as he held his stare on her, loving the way her colorful eyes could express what she was feeling.
He bit his bottom lip and shoved his hands into his jean pockets, wondering just once again why the words werenât flowing and coming off his tongue like honey, the way they usually did. He could see that Avery could somewhat sense his dismay by the way she was looking at him and really wished nothing more but to get out of this awkward place and to take her to the club she was talking about so that just maybe he would be more like himself, but he also wanted to get to know her now; fearful that if he waited too long that she might already be long gone, never to find her again.
âŚso he just decided to man up.
âUmâŚSo, Avery, youâve told me what brought ya to Vegas, but you havenât told me much âbout yourself, where youâre from, whatâcha doâŚyâknow.â Aaron finally breathed out, trying not to show the uncertainty on his face. âYou already kinda of know me and what I do,â He shrugged and tilted his head towards the smashed car, âbut I donât know too much about you.âÂ
"I donât mind getting my hands dirty." She said and chuckled afterwards. Just listened to you when you said you usually worked with your boss but he wasnât here she nodded shortly her head. "Oh, I see.." she said and raised her one eyebrow. So she had commented on your green eyes and didnât regret, it were the ones she had noticed first to be honest, and then that charming grin. She was always straight forward and never regret anything she said, or didnât care if it came flirty or whatever. A soft smile curled her lips when she saw your reaction and said that her eyes were gorgeous as well. "Well thank you." She said and smirked amusingly. The one eye that was greenish hazel got a little injured, she had suffered a lot from headaches and even lost sight, but she was glad that her eyes were fine now.
They both wanted to end this awkwardness so badly and go out clubbing as soon as you were nearly done with your work. She couldnât wait anymore but still wanted to help you. She looked at the messed up car once and then at you when you finally spoke, in other words you wanted to know more about her. Avery blinked her colorful eyes as she was looking thoughtfully, thinking of what she should tell you about her.
"Oh well." She said with a shrug, smiling amusingly afterwards just because you wanted to know her better since she knew what you did and stuff.
"Iâm studying Art..Iâm originally from Ukraine, I lived in Los Angeles but got a house in San Francisco because you know, moving around, study. " she smirked softly. Avery moved to places because of her course, so she had been pretty busy. Fortunately this was her last year then she could finally get a job. "Currently Iâm just enjoying my time on my own, I love meeting new people and stuff." She said nodding at you. "I donât know what else youâd like to know." She chuckled a little and just looked at you.
Aaron smiled once again when she told him she didnât mind getting her hands dirty. He surprisingly found that an attractive quality in a women, that she didnât mind getting really involved in her work and he was more than happy to let her work beside him, so he handed her a hammer and tilted his head towards a piece of the door that would need to banged out a little.
âIf you want, ya can try your hand gettinâ those dents out. I can show you, and just maybe if we get what we can done now we can leave earlyâŚIâm sure my boss wonât notice.â He proposed and shrugged his shoulders a little. Work would be over soon, but he so just wanted to just leave now and felt as though time was ticking away and suffocating him.
He listened to her intently as she spoke, feeling a bit of the awkward weight leave and breathed a sigh of relief. âWow. Sounds like youâre quite the busy bee.â He chuckled a little, âI never even bothered to finish high school. Left home the soonest chance I got.â
Aaron shrugged his shoulders again a looked around the shop for a moment, as he pondered what heâd just said âhe had never given the topic that much thought before and it was interesting now to think back on it. He hadnât mind leaving his family back in Calgary and moving to Vegas working as a mechanic and supposed now that he really wouldnât have wanted to do anything else. âBut to be honest, I donât mind. I like my job and Iâm alright where I am at.â He finally said, flashing her a handsome grin and moved to lean against the smashed car, shoving his hands back into his jean pockets as he spoke, âBut Iâm glad that things seem to be working out well on your partâŚseems like youâre living the dream.âÂ
