Vane frowned and shook her head. “No, I don’t think so. Above all else I just want him to be happy and if that’s not with me then he should be with someone else.”
Aaron nodded softly, completely understanding. “I understand.” He promised. “I won’t bring it up again. I do like the way you look at it though.”

Vane didn’t know what to say. “Oh, uh, sorry. Forget I said any of that then,” she said, stumbling over her words in her flustered state. “I don’t really think there’s anything you can do honestly. I’m pretty sure he likes someone else.”
Aaron gave a small chuckle, waving it off. “It’s all good.” He promised, before looking down unsure if he should bring it up. “I um... I mean if you want... I can make you a potion...”

Vane offered a sympathetic smile to him. “Sorry Aaron, I kinda really like this other guy,” she said apologetically
“O-Oh.” Aaron said, slightly taken aback. He rubbed his neck awkwardly. “I uh... I was going to offer to help you try and get him...” He said sheepishly.

Vane shrugged as well. She didn’t hate the holiday by any means, she just wasn’t enjoying it much this year. “Could be better,” she said thoughtfully, knowing it was better to be more optimistic than to outwardly show her sadness. That was not a conversation she wanted to have at that moment.
“Had someone special you wanted to be your valentine?” He hazard guess. He let out a soft sigh. “I... I could help?” He offered, expecting her to laugh in his face.

Vane looked over towards where she heard her name and saw someone from her house. “Hey Aaron,” she said and smiled before looking down at her food and beginning to pretend to eat it. “How are you?”
Aaron shrugged softly, watching her eat, before looking around at the other people in the Great Hall. “Just... kind of not enjoying the holiday.” He admitted, looking down. “How about you?”

Vane didn’t feel the joy she normally did on this day. She was just left wondering if she would ever get over her best friend and find someone who will love her. She sat in the Great Hall looking around at all the couples around her. They were everywhere; it was inescapable. She couldn’t help but be cynical about her own romantic endeavours when it seemed everyone had someone to call theirs and she was left pining after her best friend who obviously would rather spend his Valentine’s Day with someone he would actually date. She stared at the food she had put on her plate though she had no intention of eating it and tried to think of anything else but Wood.
Aaron wandered around the castle aimlessly. He wandered into the Great Hall, about ready to turn around seeing all of the couples. He saw Vane sitting alone and looking about as depressed as he was feeling. He wandered over and sat down with her, glancing at the food in front of her and then back up at Vane. “Hey Vane.” He said, almost sadly.

“Broomsticks sounds fun” Ciara replied, shrugging lightly. They kinda hoped that Aaron wasn’t planning on them carrying the conversation for long. With the amount of shit they put in their body on a regular basis, their ‘appropriate conversation’ meter was pretty much shot. It was hard enough to talk to Jay or Conrad for more than a few minutes at a time without shoving the bulk of the conversation back onto them, and Ciara wasn’t sure how much they could talk to someone who was basically a complete stranger. “I’m not a big sweets fan”
Aaron nodded softly. “Broomsticks it is then.” He nodded, offering his arm to them. He was a bit worried that he would have to keep the conversation going the whole time, which made him even more nervous. Maybe I’ll get lucky and they’ll come up with something to talk about... Maybe?

Ah, yes, the library, home of books and… people who studied, probably. A place Ciara had barely visited in the last two years. Come to think of it, they probably couldn’t even find it from where they were. Preparing to say their goodbyes and go their separate ways, they were caught off guard by Aarons suggestion. Pausing to consider it, they gave the Hufflepuff a cursory once over, before shrugging. “Sure, I could use a trip down to the village.” They replied, making another one of their impulsive decisions. Because those always turned out so well. “Anywhere in particular you were planning to visit?”
“Not really...” Aaron trailed off. He thought for a moment, trying to come up with something the two of them could do together. “We could hit Honeydukes? Or the Three Broomsticks? Or anywhere else You’d want to go?” He said without really thinking.

Ciara shrugged, not really having an answer to his question. “Not really sure actually. I was going to wander around until I found something to do actually.” They glanced over at him, grinning quickly. “Any suggestions?”
Aaron shrugged back. “I was on my way up to the Library...” He told them, as he tried to come up with something to do. “We could go to Hogsmeade?” He offered weakly, figuring they would shoot it down immediately.

Ciara was wandering the halls when someone nearly smacked into them. They pulled back, recognizing Aaron distantly. “It’s fine” they said dismissively, but shook their head at the offer of the half eaten muffin
Aaron gave them a smile before stashing the muffin in a plastic bag before putting it in his bag. “Wh-Where are you going?” He asked slightly put off by their dismissiveness. Why was he always nervous around people he liked. And why did Ciara always have to look so beautiful...

Aaron was making his way up to the library after stealing a snack from the kitchens. He munched on the muffin before running into Ciara in the hall way. “Oh sorry Ciara.” He apologized. “Muffin?” He offered, holding out the half eaten muffin.
the Hufflepuff house crest represents Aaron being a hufflepuff, the quote reminds him that not everyone should or can be trusted. The Amortentia logo is because potions is the one class he excels at. Magic and Harley Quinn’s logo are representative of his muggle hobbies, and the Bertie Botts are his favourite candy.
Neutrality
The Third Wizarding War is upon us. It’s been over half a century since the fighting first began, and we are tired. Some of us don’t know what to do. Some of us don’t care. Some of us want nothing to do with any of it. Some of us let others do our dirty work for us. Some of us stay away for the sake of safety. There are an infinite amount of reasons why someone might identify as neutral, and all reasons are valid. If you want to stay away from the chaos and bloodshed, neutral is the way to go. Why suffer through all that pain? Don’t fight. Stay safe. Put your needs first and foremost. Keep your head down and the wizarding world will sort itself out with time.

“Ah but she works perfect with my Platinum Angel.” Aaron grinned, reminding him. “Which means you’re completely screwed when we play standard.”

Aaron groaned softly as he pointed that out. “Yeah I did.” He admitted, before chuckling. “Alright twist my arm why don’t you?” He teased. “Ajani for Enya then?”
