Finals

My first final is tomorrow. Actually, by the time I'm done writing this post, it will be today. Either way, I'm really not excited.

The final is for the data mining course. Now, there are a lot of good things that I can say about this class. But among the things I can't say is that expectations have been clear. I really have no idea what to expect from this test. It might have (horribly complicated) derivations of minimizations of energy functions, or it might be simple applications of algorithms to various data sets. I wish I knew.

I plan to write a huge review of all of the courses when this is all over. What I liked about each one, what needs to be better. Which professors were the best, which were not so good. I'll definitely send it to the people running AIT. I haven't decided if I'll post it here or not. Probably not; you guys don't need to know the inner workings of and gripes I have about every little detail.

Anyway, midnight... now! Time to head to bed. Later!

Was only there for a couple hours. Saw the St Peter’s Basilica, Chain Bridge and Parliament building!

And we rounded off the night with a fast food fest. It really wasn’t that crazy (2 meals + 8 pc chicken drumlets for 2 people). The server looked perplexed, so I decided it was best not to upsize my meal.

Work

Well, I spent this entire weekend and all of today working on the computer graphics project. Hence no post yesterday. Really. I sat at my computer coding so much on Sunday that when it came time to go to bed, I just couldn't bring myself to do one more thing on the computer first.

The data mining project appears to be progressing well, through no fault of my own. Networks project is going to be good, I just need to have a little bit of progress made by friday and everything will be shiny. Not as shiny as my graphics project, though. That is too shiny at the moment.

Semantic/Declarative looks like it is going to be pretty easy from here on out, so I'm happy about that. I love the class, but anything that means less work is a good mark in my book, at this point.

The city is beautiful now. It is officially really really spring. Flowers everywhere (especially dandelions! I've never seen so many poofballs in my life!), birds in the trees, and I'm wearing shorts! I know! This never happens. I took my camera to school today to try to document some of the awesomeness, but my batteries were so dead it wouldn't even extend the lens all the way. Oh well. More opportunities tomorrow, hopefully.
