Max sat beside him and held his arm. “We should get you inside. Come on.” She said, tugging on his arm.
He stood up and then he started walking, stumbling a bit.
"Basically," she replied, narrowing her eyes at him with his nickname. "Have you ever met her?" She suddenly asked, referring to Athena.
"Yeah." he sighed. "He went to this Parent-Teacher conference in my school and then because of that people thought I was a goddamned compulsive liar. I wish she hadn't." he shrugged like it was not a big deal.
Rolling her eyes back at him, she set the things down next to him. “You’ll never know really.”
He sighed and didn't speak to her and just took the nectar and ambrosia, nibbling on it and drinking the other.
"That since you’re older, you may be having a bit of a harder time adjusting to how things are. Am I right or did I interpret that wrongly?"
"Isn't that the case here, little girl?"
"Okay so sit please and do try not to keel over and die, we can’t lose more Discerning people."
"Here, I just got you some of each."
"A flu won't kill me." He rolled his eyes.
"Although our mother is the goddess of wisdom, I did not know that at all. So you’re technically way older than me.”
"Wisdom is different from having the knowledge everything about the universe, so yes, I do know what you're talking about. And I didn't say that I'm not, what're you pointing out here, aside from the obvious?"
"So flu medication. You’re not allergic to anything are you? Or do I just need to get you ambrosia and nectar?"
"I didn't-- can you just get me those, please?"
She randomly skated and found Aaron in front of his house. “Yo, where’s my….” she trailed off when she saw that something seemed to wrong with him. “Hey, are you okay?”
He shook his head, "Nope."
"In your time? Are you like super old or something? Did they stick you in some place to not age?"
"I'm from the 1970s if you don't know that yet."
"Of course," she replied, putting an arm around his shoulders and helping him stand, while letting him put his weight on her. "Is it just a fever or do you have colds as well?"
"I definitely have a flu, if you’re trying to figure that."
"You don’t know how?" She repeated, giving him a perplexed expression. "And it’s fine, just, ask me or something if you’re hungry. I know how to heat food at least."
"There's really now microwave and stuff like those in my time."
Fee’s about to enter the House when she notices Aaron sitting outside looking unwell. Crouching down to place a hand on his forehead, she wipes it on her shirt. “You’re sick. Get inside and I’ll get medicine for you from the infirmary.”
"I've figured that." he says and then he sighs. "Can I lean on you as I walk back to the house? I can't--can't walk without support."
He's sitting outside of the Discerning house, looking sick because he is, he glances down at his watch, sighing, wishing he could walk properly so he could go to the damn infirmary.
Frowning at him,”You’re mean Aaron, you could’ve eaten something else. I think someone left pizza or something in the fridge.”
"I don't know how to reheat a pizza. So I got that. And I said I'm sorry. I can buy you a new batch of it."
"Someone took my candy from the kitchens, I even had it clearly labelled and marked as mine."
He feels guilty. "Oh sorry. I got really hungry and that was the first thing I saw." he pauses and waits for a response.
