She grinned when she mentioned about shadowtravelling. “It’s very handy. I can go wherever I want without going through airport security. Whose daughter are you?”
Ellie subconsciously straightened her posture and raised her chin when she heard the other girl's question. "Athena."
“Yeah, Hera wouldn’t be happy if we’re a lot.” Tanner also started walking towards the direction she was pursuing. “My official training won’t start until I turned seventeen but a couple of trainees were assigned to me but they turned out to be douchebags. I found help but well, I like to train alone sometimes.”
"Hera has a lot of issues really," she commented stopping in front of a target that hadn't been used yet. "That sucks, I mean, having rude trainees. Maybe you should talk to the one who assigned them to you, tell them that they're not really such great trainees."
"Yeah." he sighed. "He went to this Parent-Teacher conference in my school and then because of that people thought I was a goddamned compulsive liar. I wish she hadn’t." he shrugged like it was not a big deal.
"She did?!" Ellie half shrieked, slightly freaking out because this one sibling of hers had met their mother and seemed to consider it nothing special. "You're so lucky."
"Isn’t that the case here, little girl?"
"Basically," she replied, narrowing her eyes at him with his nickname. "Have you ever met her?" She suddenly asked, referring to Athena.
"Wisdom is different from having the knowledge everything about the universe, so yes, I do know what you’re talking about. And I didn’t say that I’m not, what’re you pointing out here, aside from the obvious?"
"That since you're older, you may be having a bit of a harder time adjusting to how things are. Am I right or did I interpret that wrongly?"
"I’m from the 1970s if you don’t know that yet."
"Although our mother is the goddess of wisdom, I did not know that at all. So you're technically way older than me."
"There’s really now microwave and stuff like those in my time."
"In your time? Are you like super old or something? Did they stick you in some place to not age?"
"I don’t know how to reheat a pizza. So I got that. And I said I’m sorry. I can buy you a new batch of it."
"You don't know how?" She repeated, giving him a perplexed expression. "And it's fine, just, ask me or something if you're hungry. I know how to heat food at least."
"Camp? Just Greek demigods?" He cleared his throat as he stopped himself from sounding like an idiot but he was really curious. Tanner regarded her question with a shrug. "Well, yeah, I’m not but I wanna train so be it."
"Yup, we live in Cabins with the rest of our siblings so it kind of sucks if you're a kid of the Big Three since you kind of end up being alone most of the time," she replied, beginning to head towards the range. "You should have someone train you, can't a trainer guide you?"
She placed the candy back to the counter after picking one more candy. “I’m picking something from Jane’s room but she haven’t buzzed me in yet so I shadowtraveled.”
Ellie let out a small sigh of relief when the other girl put her bag of candy down before reaching over to drag it closer to her. "Oh, you're a child of Hades? It must be very handy to be able to shadowtravel."
“That’s what I mean too.” She said with a chuckle. “Although, it seems like all the Aphrodite kids went to this camp that you are talking about.” She nodded at her. “True, I mean, look at me. You wouldn’t really peg me as an Aphrodite girl. I’m short but I can fight really well. And I can’t manipulate my appearance or anything like that.”
"Well, we were all Greek demigods so I guess that's the place that they were sent to by our parents," she replied, shrugging her shoulders. "Can you charm speak?" She curiously asked, tilting her head to the side.
“Really, you’re nineteen?” He said, surprised. “Camp? There’s a camp for demigod?” Tanner looked away for a moment, contemplating whether he should tell or not. “Well, sort of,” said Tanner, “I’m a pre-trainee.”
"I got blessed by Hebe actually," she replied, slinging the quiver over her shoulder. "Yea Camp Half Blood? It's basically a place for Greek demigods," she replied, remembering everyone that she had left behind. "Aren't you guys not allowed here?" She curiously asked, tilting her head to the side.
Raising a brow, Tanner glanced at her. “You’re a trainee?” He asked her before giving her a half shrug. Tanner picked a crossbrow that was mixed with the spears and then she handed it over to the girl.
Nodding her head,"I'm 19 years old already but I moved from another Camp, where they didn't really emphasize on training so much." She explained, managing to find a still full quiver and taking the crossbow from the other person. "Thanks. Are you a trainee as well?"
Tanner put the knives on the table and followed her. “You are new around here, aren’t you?” He asked as his eyes found the wall of weapons, looking for a bow.
"Not really? I've been here for over 6 months already actually but I just started training recently," she replied, glancing at his daggers before turning to the wall and trying to look for a bow that she could use.
Skyler laughed at her. “I’m not really surprised. I mean, back at my previous school, there’s just me, Ava and Damian. With my mother’s nature, I thought there’s going to be a whole bunch of us.” She said as she absentmindedly pet Jiggles. “And you are not only the first daughter of Athena I met but the very first student here as well. I only met a few children of Athena though. I actually only know two and one of them is sort of an idiot.”
Shaking her head, she replied. "No I mean, you're the first child of Aphrodite that I've met here, there was an entire cabin of them in my old camp actually," she explained. Laughing lightly, she shook her head again but in amusement. "Yes well, our mom is a bit more discerning when it comes to picking mortal men I suppose and being her child doesn't necessarily mean that you're immediately a genius."
“Uhm, the name on this.” She said in between chews as she raised a candy bag. Max eyed it closer and then laughed when she saw it’s actually not Sallie on it. “Oh, it’s actually Ellie. Ha, sorry. I blame my dyslexia for that.”
Giving the other a weak smile as she tried to surpress her annoyance, Ellie tilted her head to the side. "It's alright. How did you get into our House though? I've never seen you around."
