oh my god i forgot to share my full piece for @aawomenzine

absolutely bonker to see how gorgeous everyone's work were I want to chew my hands off tysm for letting me join the zine, technically one of my first zine everrr ;;;-;;;;

this piece was a lot of fun and effort to make, i wanted to incorporate snow white elements here (poison apple, mirrors, jealousy, the witch whos also the princess, glass casket, etc.) to various degrees of success 😅❤️ regardless i had a lot of fun brainstorming for it!!!

Ridelle stands amongst her stacks in the Great Archive. No, not hers. Or at least, less hers than she thought. She lets her fingers trail over the spines with a frown.  The way the building settles and creaks around her is familiar, comforting. The smell of books. The dryness in the air. The flicker of carefully placed candles. She knows it all better than her own home. Better than the back of her hand.  She turns back towards her desk. What seems like a flawless carpet. A solid floor.  Ridelle clenches the corner of the book she’s holding.  She’s not sure she knows the Great Archive at all. It’s an honor to be chosen as the Librarian of the Great Archive. It’s everything Ridelle could dream of. All these hundreds of books, the records of the Story, the history of the town, it’s all Ridelle’s to care for. To protect. To share with the people of Labyrinthia. Ridelle takes her position seriously. And why shouldn’t she? It’s her Story, after all.

The funeral had been quiet.

Death was not something new to Pearl. Death was a part of her, just like everyone else in the Fey clan. Their job was to help people say goodbye. To help answer questions. To give someone one last conversation, or maybe two or three. That’s how her mother explained it to her, anyway.
