An answer to the question “Why do you love me?”, which consists of a well-defined list, is a rude and scornful insult and a direct negation of love.
By it, the other is “objectivised” and denied existence as a subject. The only true answer to the question would be: “I do not know why, there is something in you, some x, something that gives a miraculous lustre to all your virtues…”. Proper “love” entails a feeling that one would still love a person if he or she lost all his or her positive features. In other words, the beloved is “set in an abyss”, all of his or her “positive” characteristics are trans-substantiated, they glow in some impalpable void and are in fact a “positivisation” of the void itself – of that x (“object small a” in Lacan’s terminology). 1. You’re going to have to treat every man like an explosive until he proves to you that he’s burnt out. Often, the wolves are disguised as woodcutters. 2. Being a lady ain’t easy, honey, but somebody’s gotta do it. 3. When he asks to see your body, show him your fists. 4. Do not try to be pretty. You weren’t meant to be pretty; you were meant to burn down the earth and graffiti the sky. Don’t let anyone ever simplify you to just “pretty.” 5. If they ask you to give them a smile, spit on their shoes. 6. Never be afraid to take up space – you’ve earned it. You deserve it. 7. When a boy claims to be a gentleman and keeps asking for your hand, tell him you’ll give him a finger. Yeah, you know the one I’m talking about. 8. ‘No’ is your friend. Practice saying it in the mirror so it will slip out like venom when he puts his hands on you. 9. Your worth is measured only by how happy you are. Nothing more, nothing less. 10. You are a fucking firework. I’m so proud of you.

Because baroque.
Bohuslav Matěj Černohorský (1684-1742)
Bohuslav Matěj Černohorský (Christened 16 February 1684, Nymburk, Bohemia -- 1 July 1742, Graz, Austria) was a Czech composer, organist and teacher of the baroque era. He wrote among other works motets, other choral works (a fugue Laudeatur Jesus Christus is cited by the Baroque Music Library as an excellent example of its kind) and organ solo works. (wiki)
Some hell of a Monteverdi!

Look to your left. The first thing you see is what you would hoard as a dragon.
Clothes hangers. Not bad!
S’è corrisposto un core … Amor è qual vento from Handel’s Orlando, sung by Baráth Emőke.
A wonderful lyric soprano and a singer whose career I’m very excited to follow. I’m really stoked to have the chance to hear her as Poppea and Ilia later this season!
She’s fantastic!
Giovanni Legrenzi (1626 - 1690) - Ave Regina coelorum
Alberik Mazák (1609 - 1661) - Laudate Dominum de coelis
Sooo, I’ve been thinking...
This world is not a place where we can be happy. It wasn’t created for man’s happiness, though many believe this is the reason of our existence. I think we are here to fight, so that good and evil can clash within us, and good may prevail, thus enriching us spiritually. It’s difficult to say whether we are happy or not: it doesn’t depend on us…There are times when one regrets being born, but life also gives us surprising things that, alone, are worth living. The issue of happiness doesn’t exist for me: happiness as such doesn’t exist.
Andrei Tarkovsky
Your best friend --> the love of your life --> your instrument
This is real. I’m this way with my cello. Can’t imagine how I’d be if my voice was actually outside my body…
I left my boyfriend because of my piano
It seems to me that the years between eighteen and twenty-eight are the hardest, psychologically. It’s then you realize this is make or break, you no longer have the excuse of youth, and it is time to become an adult – but you are not ready.
