I didn’t know if I would make it through my teenage years. Now that I’m almost 23 and getting better year by year, there’s no way for me to not be thankful for my life. Now I want to live and try and exceed my own being. I want to be a better version of myself day by day, even with some not so good days in between. I’ve accepted that sadness is an emotion just as valid as happiness, and both are equally important. I’ve learned to respect and be respected, to laugh and joke around. To not quit. I deserve to mean something, for myself.
