Makeup Looks|Bronzed Eyes

Here’s a step-by-step tutorial for my make up look: Bronzed eyes!

Before putting my makeup I make sure that my face is clean, dry and well prepped. We all want a smooth canvas don’t we? I used Skinpotions Tomato Serum as my primer. This one is very refreshing to use when cold.

After allowing the product to dry and seep in to my pores, I used Skinpotions Milk Tint in the shade Soya as my foundation/base makeup. Spread the product evenly with a makeup blender or with your fingers. This one became my favorite because this product is so lightweight and buildable. 

Next step is the eyeshadow, I used the shades 1, 2, 6 and 7 in Peach, Please Ph Del-eye-cious Desserts! eyeshadow palette Macaron.

Dust a light shade over your eyelids to make the colors pop, I did this using shade number 2. Next, use a gold shade and dust them over your inner eye corner to the center of your eyelids. Using a dark bronze shade, sweep it to the outer corner of your eyelid and drag it across your eye crease. Lastly, use a shimmery bronze shade and pat this in the middle of your eyelids where the light and dark shades meet. Blend gently.

I noticed my eyelids appear holographic in my pictures when the light shines on my lids.

Give your brows a defined look by grooming them. I used Peach, Please Ph Brow Define in the shade gray to fill in any sparse areas.

Add drama to your eyes by creating a winged eye look and finish it with a coat of your favorite mascara. False eyelashes are optional, add them if you want more glam in your look.

I love peaches and coral shades on my cheeks, it gives the impression of a natural flush on your cheeks. 

I wasn’t a fan of highlighters and contour until I realized how to use them. For this make up look I dusted Peach, Please Ph Moonlit Night on my brow bone, cheek bones, nose bridge and inner corners of my eyes. For contour, I used Maybelline Fashion brow.

Lastly, I used an old rose shade for my lips to give this look it’s classy final touch.

Directions for use: apply using a brush or with finger.

Shade range: there are 2 shades to choose from.

What I like about it: I bought  both shades! this one is Pumpkin it has pigmented warm orange shades with one glittery shade and one shimmery shade. I like the cute little pumpkin embossed on the orange shade. 😍💕

What I don’t like about it: aside from it’s missing info or details, none.

Would I buy again? Yes! It’s very affordable and easy to use. I love this one!

What I like about it: I bought  both shades because they looked awesome! Cherry has red wine shades. It comes with 4 pans of pigmented eyeshadow. 

What I don’t like about it: It didn’t have a cute cherry embossed on the pan like Pumpkin has. Aside from it’s missing info or details, none.

Would I buy again? Yes! It’s very affordable and easy to use. This one is another fave from Peach, Please Ph!

Scent: unscented

Shade range: just one color, black.

What I like about it: It’s affordable and it doesn’t sting the eyes. It’s also easy to remove.

What I don’t like about it: It’s not waterproof/sweatproof/smudge proof and it is not too pigmented. I had to re draw to achieve a dark shade. It’s like those felt tip markers that dries easily.

Would I buy again? Maybe.

What I like about it: I like this one. Unlike the thickening mascara this one really lengthens my eyelashes. I doesn’t sting the eyes and it’s easy to remove.

What I don’t like about it: aside from it’s missing info or details, none.

Would I buy again? Yes!

Effectiveness: 2/5 

What I like about it: I doesn’t sting the eyes and it doesn’t have strong chemical scents like other makeup brands.

What I don’t like about it: I’m not sure I see the results, it supposed to make my lashes appear thicker. I think the formula is quite heavy as well since my curled lashes won’t stay in place when I use this.

Would I buy again? No, I much prefer the lengthening one.

Shade range: there are 3 shades to choose from.

What I like about it: I bought the gray one because I want something natural and close to my hair color. I does the trick to fill parse areas on my brows.

What I don’t like about it: It’s not water-proof, smudge-proof and sweat-proof. Also, it’s cream and not matte. I’m careful not to put too much of it because it looks bluish in person but on camera it looks natural.

Would I buy again? Yes, I will probably try the other shades as well.

What I like about it: Well, I didn’t like it.

What I don’t like about it: It’s quite soft for a bar of soap and it melts too fast. I don’t like coconuts. TBH, I hate that scent. It’s not citrus like I expected since it’s called Lemon Shake, misleading right?

Would I buy again? No.

Would I buy again? I want to.

Abbey’s Review:  This series reminds me of the movie A Cure For Wellness. Despite how messed up it is and it’s weird characters and storyline, it was executed beautifully through its colorful color schemes, gothic and vintage props and clothing, dramatic lines and scripts and outstanding acting. The way things are going I never expected it would have a second season. I saw some bad reviews and ratings about this series, I guess it could be too shallow and overdramatic for some people but for me it’s quite theatrical and somehow Shakespearean. I absolutely enjoyed it! Also, this series is all about women empowerment!

Score: 8/10 👍🏻👍🏻

Would I recommend it? Yes. It’s interesting and very entertaining.

Consistency/Type: oil stain

Scent: bubblegum

Directions for use: shake before using so that the pigment will mix with the oil then apply using a brush/cushion or with finger. 

Shade range: there are 4 shades to choose from.

What I like about it: I got this as a freebie when I bought from Peach, Please Ph. I like that it’s glossy, highly pigmented and easily blendable.

What I don’t like about it: The downside is that it is kind of oily and it transfers easily. I would not recommend this for oily skin. Also, the shade is more of pink rather than coral.

Would I buy again? Maybe.  I prefer their powder blush (Make ‘em Blush)

Scent: I saw in a forum that this soap is supposed to smell like bubblegum? Well, it doesn’t.

Effectiveness: 0/5

What I like about it: I don’t like it.

What I don’t like about it: NGL, it smells really disgusting to me. It’s like vomit or spoiled milk. I didn’t use it. It’s probably a year in my bathroom. 

Would I buy again? NO.

Product Review|Maybelline V-Face Duo Stick

Packaging: This includes a box with all the info. A dual-ended, cream-based face stick for easy sculpting and strobing.

Consistency: cream

Scent: unscented

Effectiveness: 3/5

Directions for use: Use the dark side of the stick in areas you want to reduce: along your hairline, along the sides of your nose, in the hollows of your cheeks, and on your jawline. Use the light side of the stick in areas you want to highlight: your forehead, along your nose bridge, on the high points of your cheeks, and your chin. Tip: Use the V-Face Powder to set your contour and highlight.

What I like about it: The chiseled bullet tip makes it so easy to use.

What I don’t like about it: It’s not lightweight, I’m not a fan of cream-based makeups because it gets oily after a while and they’re not sweat-proof.

Would I buy again? No. The Maybelline Fashion Brow already works great for contouring.

What I like about it: This is my favorite Maybelline product. It’s waterproof and smudge-proof. It is also easy to remove.

What I don’t like about it: It’s not organic and cruelty-free.

Would I buy again? Yes, I haven’t found a good alternative yet.
