Hello, Mr. Gaiman. My mother and I have been rereading Good Omens in preparation for the release of the miniseries on May 31, and she and I have a question about Dog. What breed is he supposed to be? He sounds a lot like a dachshund to us (one ear that always going backwards, looks like he could burrow into rabbit holes, angry small-dog temperament, etc), but in the pictures I have seen from the series, he looks to be a different breed entirely. What was he meant to be when the book was written?

He’s supposed, in the book, to be a mongrel. That’s what Adam wants him to be. Even, as Adam explains, a pedigree mongrel.

Quick makeup test before Halloween, I think I'm gonna be a robot! It's still going to go through some refining but it's fun. I'd like anyone's opinion though, what clothes would you wear with this makeup? Many google image searches reveal that concept artists feel Androids are only ever naked.

Made some improvements to the shoulder pieces of my jacket, one of the details I was most disappointed with. The top row shows version one, BL2 reference, and the clay sculpt for my version two. The completed shoulder pieces were cast in resin, to get the bright shiny silver I used Molotow liquid chrome paint markers and then I detailed them with black acrylic paint.

Peter Capaldi signed my Doctor Who nesting doll set (it has doctors 7-12 plus the TARDIS!) and I'm so happy!

Peter capaldi will be in my city this weekend and I just bought an autograph ticket! I haven't exactly been working on a new cosplay lately but now I'm thinking I should go as River Song since I already have that one put together.

I'm so upset. I’m not sure when this happened, but the color I used on my mod/watch and digistruct lenses has apparently completely disappeared in the last few months. Not excited to deal with this.

I'm really struggling between whether I should start a new cosplay, or wear Jack some more this year. Lots of decisions.

So I've been planning a cosplay repair. At the end of comic con some of the hardware on my digistruct broke, I realized that the wood frame wasn't going to be reliable for structure (hey, it's a learning process) and I'd like the entire prop to have a metal skeleton that will take the stress of the straps when I wear it. Unfortunately putting the upgraded metal frame in place will require doing a fair bit of deconstruction to the prop so I can get it in. Luckily the damage won't be too bad and shouldn't be visible. As I was going over the project in my head I realized that this is basically the plan Jack had in store for Rhys.

Handsome Jack mask prosthetic I realized I'd never posted anything about my Jack mask, I really hadn't mentioned it much at all on tumblr. This is the first prosthetic I've ever made. Here's some progress pictures with an awful selfie. For any experienced special effects makeup artists- this is my first try! I had problems with the mold so the edges were truly awful. In the next few weeks I'll be making some modifications to the mold and recasting with what I hope will be HUGE improvements. One last point- all photos I have of the cosplay were taken after several hours of wear on a hot day where (for a few reasons) the mask was literally melting. The detail shots are NOT good, but I have high hopes for the future!
