( HELLO FRIENDS It’s been a hella long time- anybody still lingering around out here these days? :0 )
avisglacium:
As tiny droplets slipped from the fabric’s edge onto his forehead to worm their way down his face, the wizard felt his oblivious facade fade with them. At the stranger’s comment, a smile of JUXTAPOSED glee flashed from one cheek to the other. An equally light giggle accompanied the grin as he spoke the words under his breath.
❛ Well, that’s ONE way to put it… ❜
Of all things, the blonde couldn’t help but react that way to the sheer FRANKNESS of their statement. Perhaps it was true. In fact, Kronos supposed that conclusion could be applied in about every situation. Even now, as he sat outside in the pouring rain, he did have a want for SOMETHING, one way or another.
Lifting his shoulders to his ears in a shrug, the wizard replied simply in his natural sing-songlike voice. A gloved hand returned to his face to sweep the rain from it again.
❛ I suppose you’re right. I do want something. Or rather, I don’t want something. I don’t want you to get wet. It’s pretty UNPLEASANT weather outside, don’t you think? It would be a shame for someone to get CAUGHT up in it. ❜
--- Alex scoffed loudly in disbelief, against some part of their better judgement moving closer to talk to the man without having to yell at him. Well, non-purposeful yelling anyway.
“Bullshit. You look like you could use the help way more than I do.”
They took the other in, sopping wet face and all. They looked torn between amusement and annoyance, fairly positive that this guy couldn’t be for real. Nobody could be this weird and not be fucking around. “Besides, why me out of all these people?”
They gestured somewhat rudely to his face, “Especially when you’re over here looking like some wet dog.”

She just watched her friend…giggling a bit at their reaction. Alex seemed…so surprised by what she’d said. And how could she not notice that blush? It was adorable! The redhead just hummed lightly in response as she walked with the other, and at Alex’s remark… “…I’m glad,” she acknowledged softly…before grabbing their hand and beaming, tugging them along happily.
--- “It’s not funny.” Alex grumbled at her, without half as much bite as they would need to sound seriously annoyed “Don’t laugh at me, I’m trying to be... I don’t know. That’ll teach me to be nice to you.”
Their tone was dry, but despite themself they relaxed a little at the touch when she took their hand; they were getting used to being manhandled and pushed around by her it seemed.

[🚬]: “ Think I’d pay to see someone have this as a weapon. Would put a splash of color for the day ”
Grim wipes some of the rain away from the mask hidden behind the cloud of smoke surrounding him along with moving his hair back as that was still wet to.
“ No but I’m a mechanic, fixing buses wouldn’t be that far off from my usual work ”
--- “No shit.” Alex remarks in idle surprise, “I guess that makes sense- You’d be about as bad as exhaust fumes or something.”
They pause, considering the other as they briefly rock on their heels. Fuck it, they might as well ask. “You got a name? Or are you one of the ones that aren’t allowed to say it.”

Mateo had been engrossed in a new game on his phone, Neko Atsume, when he bumped (more like slammed) into someone, knocking them on their ass and the phone from his hand. He scrambled to retrieve his device before realizing the other was on the ground.
Brushing himself off, he extended a hand to help them up, signing “sorry” with the other.
--- Alex grumbled, putting a hand down to push themself up only to pause when a hand entered their view. They looked up and glowered, opening their mouth to snap for being knocked over- half their fault or not, it was annoying- only to pause when they caught the tail end of the sign.
“Whatever.” They huffed, pushing upright. “It’s fine-” They paused, belatedly realizing that the other might not be able to hear, after a moment of struggle signing back “You hurt?” with a slight tip of their head, feeling the anger leave them about as fast as it had come.

Hey! So, I’m looking to interact with this muse and this seems like a good way to do it. Please like or reblog if you’re willing to interact with Zack Choi, a non-powered (anti)hero vigilante, I’m not super selective so I’ll probably follow back.
he’s small and angry
strong enough to bench-press like 2 people
here for that Justice
very snarky but he’s good deep down
skirts the line of good and bad, so he kinda interacts with all types
should own a shirt that says ‘ask me about my tragic backstory’

[🚬]: “ You mean a rainbow colored umbrella isn’t intimidating? Man, I’ve had it all wrong then “
There’s a hidden blink from the smoke covered male hearing that. Huh. That’s rare to hear without hearing a curse fallowed up towards him. Nice change of pace.
“ I will. If you find the bus broken down or something give me a call, heard they sometimes to do that around here “
--- They laugh again, the sound surprised out of them before they can stifle it.
“I guess it depends on the context of the umbrella. If it were the weapon of choice of a serial killer? Terrifying. Being carried around my an ultra tall smoke dude? Kind of hilarious, objectively.”
They decide after a moment not to hide the curl of a half-smile when they feel the other’s... Pleasant surprise, maybe?
“What, d’you fix buses or something?” They tease. Then they wave a hand. “It’s whatever. The bus is late all the time.”

--- Alex frowned a little to themself, shifting uncomfortably by the bus stop as they waited for the crowd to pass. They had been waiting for a while, but the foot traffic didn’t seem willing to abate. Finally, their impatience with the length of time and their slowly mounting headache at the heavy flux of emotions and voices surpassed their need to avoid physical contact, and they moved to try and walk around the crowd.
- Only to nearly instantly, and somewhat roughly, bump into someone and flinch on instinct; the knee-jerk reaction sending them off balance and falling gracelessly to the pavement, directly on their ass.
“Ow.” They hissed, “Fucking Christ.”

A look of genuine shock flashed across the wizard’s features when the stranger’s eyes almost immediately met his. Perhaps he’d been a bit too conspicuous with his little TRICK but it hadn’t occurred to him they would catch onto him with such incredible speed. The BEWILDERMENT was soon replaced with approval as Kronos shot them an ironical grin, replacing his gloved hand to rest his chin upon. If one thing were clear, it was that they were sharp. In mind, and, evidently, temper, as well.
Leaning back, the wizard cocked his head to the side curiously. The parasol leaked it’s contents onto the top of his head, creating tiny RIVERS of rain down his face. Kronos barely paid them half a mind as his gaze lingered on the figure standing several paces ahead of him. After a second of a half-shower, the wizard leaned his body forward once more, using his arms as a REST for his cheek as he addressed them.
❛ And what would that be exactly? What I’m SELLING. ❜
Although his facial expression was somewhat serious, the wizard’s eyes giggled as he wiped the wetness from his face.
--- Alex felt a small surge of satisfaction curl in their stomach at having caught the other out. The surprise and then approval was- a strange combination, but being right always felt good regardless.
Though, they were probably getting sidetracked. It’s not like magical charlatans were anything new, and whatever this guy was trying to do was no doubt going to be suspicious at least. Magic users were tricky like that, no matter what their specialties were.
“If I knew, I’d tell you what to fuck off for specifically.” They drawled, grated a little by his giggling and the general... Air, of the man. For lack of a better word. “Everybody wants something, so do us both a favour and just spit it out already.”
breathingpollution:
[🚬]: “ Just stick it on my grave instead “
That’s probably the only way he’ll be lightening up. Still, one of them would at lest still be dry instead. Glancing over towards the road wondering for a short moment if the rain was getting bad for the bus to still drive.
“ Though if I did take it I’m pretty sure it would some color to this rain “
--- They snort, amused by the bout of dark humour.
“You’d be a hell of a lot less intimidating, to boot.” They add, and then frown. They pull their phone out, hunching a little to look over it and check the time. The bus... Was late. Pretty predictably, now that they thought about it.
With a sigh they shove their phone back in their pocket. Might as well walk, they decide.
“Well, it’s been cool talking to you.” They say, and mean it. “But the bus probably isn’t coming, so I’m just gonna...” They gesture with their thumb over their shoulder. “Treat the umbrella well, yeah?”
myriadxmuses:
She peeked over at Alex, brows lifting a bit when they bumped her and apologized. Then the redhead just smiled and shook her head. “It’s okay. You’re not being a…” A pause as she just stared back at her friend before just skipping that word. “I like you just the way you are. I know you’re not going to be just like me, and that’s alright. I think it’s cute when you’re all grumpy. As long as you really don’t mind going. That’s what I care about.”
--- They paused, actually thrown by the compliment. To the point of stopping to stare at Michiko and cast about for words before they settled for turning a deep red and shoving their hands in their pockets.
“That’s-” They fumbled, ducking their head down into their hoodie. “I don’t think anybody’s ever called my grumpiness cute but... Whatever. Thanks, I guess. For getting it.”
They scuffed their shoe on the ground and then resumed walking, adding a little awkwardly but no less genuinely. “I really do want to hang out.”
nightmcnsters:
As they pronounced the name, Diarmuid’s face lit up with a delighted smile - whether or not they’d said it quite correctly, it had been a very, very long time since he’d met someone who so much as recognized the language when they heard it. He made a small sound of assent, translating it for them - “The moonlight.” He had little nicknames for many of the other birds, but this one had seemed so… regal to him that he’d chosen something more proper for her. He hadn’t had a conversation this long with another person in… well, he didn’t exactly know how long, but being asked about the birds, having the subject treated as though it was interesting and noteworthy by someone other than himself, was refreshing and almost nostalgic in an odd way.
Reflecting on the situation as a whole, Diarmuid watched Alex’s face carefully. Facial expressions had never been a particular strength of his, but he found himself wanting to expend the effort to understand how his odd companion was feeling, what they were thinking - he was, of course, thrilled that they could hear the meaning behind his words, or lack of same, but he didn’t know much about them outside of that - for instance, what had brought them to the area in the first place, aside from simple curiosity about the energy surrounding the church? It occurred to him that he didn’t know if he’d meet them again when they inevitably had to end this unintentional visit, and he wished, for once, that he was more in tune with the outside world and its many methods of long-distance communication.
--- Alex found a small, but very genuine smile tugging up at the corners of their mouth. The quiet happiness and sense of approval, matched with the look on his face, filled them with a greater- if somewhat confusing- sense of pride than audible praise might have.
“The moonlight.” They repeated, “Is it because she’s so- y’know.” They gestured vaguely. “Glowy?”
They paused for a moment at the sense of curiosity. Their eyebrows pulled together briefly, as they tried to parse out exactly what he could be curious about- Diarmuid’s scrutiny of them was benign, but obvious. But they couldn’t exactly pin down what he was wondering over.
“You have a question?” They guessed, “About me, or... Something else?”
