How has your opinion of social media changed doing this project? Some people look at social media in a negative way- how can you argue that it can be useful AND educational?

Before the project, I only knew that social media is used to communicate with my family, play with people around me and show that I am a creative person in my posts.My opinion indeed changed, when the teacher introduced the project to us I got surprised,I didn't know that social medias are used for education especially in school.Also I didn't know that people search stuff in social medias to help them in their school assignments.Meanwhile I also noticed that there was some flexibility in social medias assignment,we don't need to regularly attend class or follow a fixed schedule when learning on social medias we can choose to spend minutes or hours depending on the available time and mood to make the assignment alone without any help from the teacher.Social medias are so useful for education purposes in which it can help us do assignments easier.

Some people can see social medias as a negative affect, it really affects people's health only if they are so addicted to it.Social medias aren't made to be addicted for, there is something called time management everyone should organize their time to avoid the negative effects of social medias, why do people stand against the negative affects?, the negative affects are made by the people not by the social medias. Many people think that social medias must be banned from the society, they don't know that social medias have positive effects in a human being's life.An important effect about social medias is the communication barriers and an opportunity for education. Social medias reduce the communication barriers.For example, a student can make a group in facebook,whatsapp or any other social applications in their phone or pc, if the student is facing a problem in the assignment he can easily write his problem in the group and the members that are in the group answer him rapidly, calling people would be disturbing and annoying for a person.Social medias avoids the disturbing things.

People who observe social medias as a bad effect are definitely right but they must think through the important reasons that social medias are made for.

Adding music to a certain scene In a play would help create an audience with better and stronger emotions. Making a scene more tense in a tense situation, happier in a happy situation and making them feel sad and sorry in a not so pleasant situation. This music would be a great and appropriate choice of music for the very dramatic and tense scene where Bernice runs down the stars screaming, shouting, and panicking after seeing Sutter’s ghost. It would also continue to be great help to when Boy Willie and Lymon rush upstairs and search for this Ghost. In my opinion it could even be very tensions when Bernice explains what she saw. This music would fit perfectly in this situation because as we move on it becomes more and more tense and stressful and so does the music. Creating an even more stressful and tense atmosphere.

I agree with moath's post about the music he chose that fits the scene,the audience would be more excited to see what's going to happen next or more scared.Without music no one will notice if something scary is happening, music guides the audience to let them know whats going to happen next.Music effects may be the purpose of disturbing the audience but it is still a very important aspect of horror scenes.

Picture Representing Justice

This picture shows my opinion on justice through out the novel,as I read notes in websites, reading the book and discussing with the teacher, I studied about justice. Without justice things won't snuggle down or stabilize.In the novel we see the blacks are on an other side than the whites, whites are kind off rich in the story but the blacks doesn't have the right to become rich enough like the whites.The picture shows a man holding a sign written on it "EQUAL LAWS" and "EQUAL LIVES" , by these two slogans justice is defined. If justice didn't start off then fights,violence and discrimination will surround the society.If a murderer is not punished on his crime,is it fair for the murdered and the murdered's family to not have the murderer punished.No one would live in this life without justice,mostly injustice would lead to demolition and destruction.

Do you like tumblr? Why/why not? Do you prefer a different social media website? What website could also be used to do this type of school assignment?

Actually I prefer tumbr because It is a stream that you can support an it is easy to use and helps connect with people easier than other social medias. I like tumblr more than any other social medias because tumblr makes blogging more easy. Setting up account and posting I even more easier.Tumblr is a safer zone and privacy wise.Tumblr is more fair of being anonymous, you can provide anything you want and followers can stream with your content, there is a way in tumblr that can hide your interactions with other blogs and hide anything you want, that's why I would call tumblr as an anonymous social media.Also tumblr have it's own unique"post-type" on the tumblr media. It makes a creative concept  that has the potential to really make your tumblr blog come to life.A website that I would prefer is www.jux.com 

Was this tumblr assignment good, or would you have preferred writing your responses in a journal in class time? Why/why not?

The tumblr assignment is more better than in class writing, using technology is more better than writing in hand. The assignment is so long in which you will need to write so much. Typing is more faster than writing.Also tumblr assignment is more better than writing our responses in a journal because tumblr needs electronics to be used, in this case electronics can help us research more easy than writing in class, we can use Google to help us on our research. Who would read long articles to find what they want if Google is on our electronics.

What changes would you make to this assignment for next time?

I don't have any idea on how I would make changes for the assignment but probably, I would make it more visual in which I would try to share my posts in real life to see how other people react on the posts I do so I can see if my skills are good or not.

Best quote in the piano lesson

They think trains supposed to go where they going rather than where it's going.”

That's the best quote I would choose, the meaning of this quote is to show how life is complicated and tough.An uncomplicated life that was just straight forward wouldn't be exactly challenging and would probably be boring.We need challenges in life to grow,learn and love, the quote mentioned many direction which shows that a person must choose his own direction and live his life with it.A life without challenges would lead to people taking a lot of things therefore it will make it more boring.I would simply say life is a test because no one is going to live forever, everyone should face his obstacle and think how to overtake it alone to achieve his goal in his life.

I chose this music because it really fits with the scene when boy willie and doaker are searching for sutter’s ghost that berniece saw or imagined him upstairs.This music will increase the audience’s pressure which will make them get panicked as boy willie and doaker look for the ghost.It will be quiet funny to see the audience reaction on this scene with the music that I have chose.Also as the music continues there are some sudden changes that occurs in this music, just as listening the music you will feel what I am talking about.

Abdullah : Hello,what's your name or nickname? Student : Hello, my name is moath and I don't have a nickname at the moment.

Abdullah : Oh that's not good.How old are you moath? Moath :I am fifteen years old.

Abdullah :What's your nationality? Moath : I am an American/Palestinian.

Abdullah :When you will grow up, what do you want to be?

Moath :Well, deciding a career isnt easy, I am a little puzzled  between medical care, law and engineering.

Abdullah : If you are a president of the world,what would you do?

Moath : I would absolutely do whatever it takes to end all hunger and conflicts around the world,I would end israel oppression and demolish all terrorists. 

Abdullah :When your parents tell your to do your homework, what do you think you must do? Moath : Well I hate studying, If I saw my parents walking in my room, I would pretend to do my homeworks.

Abdullah :What do you think is justice? Has you opinion changed at all? Moath : Being fair and help the oppressed and give people everything they deserve. My opinion didn't change because I know what justice is.

Abdullah :What do you think your reputation is like right now at school? at home? with family? Moath : At school sometimes as an annoying kid and smart.At home as a big brother and a person who likes to reach his goals.With family, a guy who will represent them in the future.

Abdullah :Have your ideas about reputation changed at all? why or why not? Moath : My ideas are getting better and better, people are understanding me more and more and see me as my true self.

Abdullah :What do you think you should be responsible for? Just yourself and your grades, or other things like your happiness and looking after young sisters and brothers?

Moath : I would be responsible for my studies, helping others,help my family and infer my siblings.

Abdullah : Finally, how would you explain yourself in three words? and why?

Moath : Smart friendly understanding, because I get good marks in school,I am a friend with most of the people around me and I don't get into lots of fights that happens around me.

My view of justice is that everybody is treated equally with no descrimination no matter the age, gender, or skin color. But in the book, injustice is taking over. We can see that blacks are treated badly. And their rights are taken away from them. In the picture above where the black boy is hand-cuffed demonstrates what’s occuring in the story, that blacks are not given any kind of freedom and that they are suffering to live.

I agree on mohammed's point of view. People who fall in discrimination may feel  angry, violated or even fearful.Everyone must fight injustice in this life.Many blacks  aren't living in peace,many died because of injustice.People will seek justice on their own which in turn could cause chaos and a possibility to destroy the society.

All rich people see the opportunities while the poor people see the obstacles they are facing,poor people are thinking how they will overcome their obstacles. rich becomes richer and poor becomes poorer.Why don't we help the poor to establish their goal and become rich like the other rich people, don't you know that you will lose your money in anytime and anywhere.Everyone will not live their life forever, everyone is going to die in this world, why is money useful if you are going to die later.Poor people must be supported not to be frustrated in front of the rich people.Try living without food nor water, feel their pain in their life and tell us what feeling you would have.

Piano Lesson in two mediums

One medium I would choose is watching a movie of the piano lesson,if I was reading the novel, it will make me sleepy after 10-15 pages but if I really liked the book, I will still finish it but it will take me months or days.Watching the movie will take me at least 1 hour and a half to finish the whole story .One book I read before was The Hunger Games, watching the movie made the story more better.The movie made me feel the emotions the characters are having.Also one example of how the movie is better than the book is that it showed us that Katniss was struggling to survive in the game but the book simply showed us how she won and what she did exactly.

Another medium I would choose than the novel is making a play on a stage.If this story was performed on stage, it will be ofcourse in real life and more interesting to watch than reading the book.As a person acts infront of the stage it would make the audience entertained and have fun while watching the play even though it won't make the audience get bored like reading the novel.The Piano lesson will be more better if a play on stage will occur.

This quote shows an example of injustice being achieved.Because when injustice is present life is hard, with no freedom equality or peace.Also it will  force a poor African American girl to be scared and frightened while walking to a settlement house because of her colour. Justice will change everything if it was in the society, no one would be worried if they were walking around in the city.If the law is biased and is based on injustice,then the life of these African American people would be tough and hard in which it would make them be more afraid to get bullied or kidnapped or even get killed.

Boy Willie :

I chose Eddie Murphy as an actor of boy Willie, as we see the story develops, we recognize that boy Willlie is kind off a comedy person,he also talks so much in which other people gets annoyed from him.Eddie Murphy has the same characteristics as boy Willie

Doaker : 

I chose Moragan Freeman as an actor of Doaker, as we see in the story,we recognize that Doaker is responsible and a wise man.Morgan Freeman is wise too, he gives unique words and show that he is caring for everyone in his area.They also have many common characteristics like having a good manner to people etc..

Berniece :

I choose Taraji Penda Henson as an actor of Berniece, as we see in the story, we recognize that Berniece is a strong woman that works hard to achieve what she wants. Taraji has the same characterstics of Berniece,Also Berniece showed that she is a good mother.Taraji was responsible of her daughter and son in which she didnt let her son get addicted to drugs.

This photo shows Discrimination, as you see the red/black guy is being kicked out from the whites group in the photo above.In the book African American were poor and working alone, there was no whites around them because of the racism.Whenever a white see a black man he starts to humiliate him and says bad words that doesn't suit the black man.The photo showed how the blacks were treated unfairly to the rich people,rich people lived alone with other rich people and never gave money to black poor people.

I definitely agree with you. Every person must work for justice to get justice for themselves , many people are treated unfairly and faced discrimination and obligation in their life. The quote is obviously trying to tell us that no one can get justice without working for justice.No one wants to be treated unfairly in their life because it spreads cruel and there will be more crimes in the community that doesn't have justice in it.

Justice is the most valuable thing in our life.No one in this world doesn't want justice in their life.

This song shows justice because the singer / author is showing how people weren't equal. Black people were treated unfairly in the 60's and 70's. Civil war between white and black started, they were divided on two sides. One for blacks and one for whites?! many people were tortured because of their skin's color.

Obligation was in the nation in which Rich people didn't support poor people who were struggling in their life. Discrimination , segregation , humilation was spread to the nation of blacks.There was fear in the air, many were scared to get bombed in any second. Unemployment were rising and suicide rate rised everywhere.

Social networking and connecting to the world around us?

Social networking helps people keep in touch with their friends and families who no longer live near by. Also  Social networking can serve a usefull purpose they can quickly spread information which has helped some businesses and helped people in their work. Sharing pictures and stories with family and friends would be difficult without social networking.

Some examples of ways social networking helps us connect better in the world around us:

Why the piano lesson novel was written ???

As we know, the author showed how bad was his childhood. He faced injustice and discrimination and was treated different than the other students.He was teaching himself in writing at the library and home, he was a self teaching person.As time passes he decided to leave his school because he was getting bullied etc.He had gifts from his great writing. Also he became one of the best African American writers when he grew up.He wrote about his childhood and spread awareness about what he faced in his childhood and showed how people must react when they are in the same problem.

The Piano Lesson was about African Americans.It showed how African American people felt about having discrimination problems.The author wanted to show how African American were treated through this period of time. Many people would stop and complain about what is happening to African Americans everyone must support every kind of people and stop racism.We must work to motivate African Americans and make them more stronger on defending their culture.
