From Gaza, burdened by wounds, we write with pain beyond words. Here we live under a sky that knows no peace, and between walls that do not protect us from the fear that dwells in our hearts. Life here has become just an attempt to survive, and the hopes that used to light our paths are fading in the darkness of an uncertain future.
In Gaza, we do not dream of much; we dream of uninterrupted electricity, of clean water, of a sky that does not rain shells, and of children who sleep without fear of being woken by the sound of explosions. We dream of a world that sees us as souls worthy of life, not as numbers in news reports.
But despite the pain, our hearts still beat, and our voices still scream in the face of injustice. We know that sadness surrounds us from every direction, but deep within us we carry remnants of hope, hope that a day will come when we will live like other human beings, with dignity and peace.
To whoever reads these words: We are here, screaming with our pain, we hope that our voices will find an echo in your hearts. Don't forget us, we are still dreaming, even if the dream is as dim as a candlelight in a storm.
