It seems that I am being plagued by a series of strange events. I'm not entirely sure what has happened, so I will simply tell you what has happened since my last letter. After resting in Riverwood, I said my goodbyes and set off for Whiterun. It wasn't a very hard trek, and I made it there rather quickly. When I got to the city, I was met with a gaurd telling me that the city was closed. Once I told him why I needed in though, he let me in. I made my way up to the Jarl's palace of Dragonsreach. When I got there I was immediately met with a sword at my neck. Apparently I had interrupter a private meeting between the Jarl and his steward. Once they learned that I had news of Helgen, though, they were very quick to changed their minds. I had originally though that once I delivered my message I could go, but this was not so. The Jarl recruited me to find something called a Dragonstone, apparently it would give them information on the dragons. I tried to tell them that I was not the one to do it, that they should hire someone else, but they wouldn't listen to me. apparently it was of the most importance that they get that stone soon. Since I had no real say in it, I agreed that I would investigate, but I could not promise them anything. I spent that night and the next day in Whiterun, getting ready for the expedition. I met quite a few interesting character they, one of which ended up becoming my new companion. Her name is Uthgerd, and she is a very . . . Interesting nord, to say the least. It's rather funny how she ended up traveling with me. You see, I to the inn in Whiterun to see about getting a room for the night. While I was waiting to talk to the owner of the inn, I asked her if she knew anything about the Skyforge. Somehow this conversation led to the companions, which I later learned was a sore spot for her, and that conversation led to her challenging me to a fight. I attempted to turn her down, but she attacked me no matter what I said. I actually won the fight, though, it was because of a messy accident that ended with her unconscious. I left the inn, letting the owner clean up he mess. I figured it wasn't a good idea to be in the inn when she woke up, so I spent the night outside the city with a caravan of Khajiit traders. When I woke up the next morning, there she was, all ready to go. Apparently she had heard where I was going, and wanted to come along, I knew there was no arguing, so I let her tag along. When we got to the ruins of Bleak Falls Barrow, the place where the stone was rumored to be, we were surprised to ind that we we not the only ones there. Some bandits had set themselves up around the ruins, looking for some treasure that involved a golden claw. It was at this point that I suggested that we turn back and simply tell them that we could not find the stone, but my companion insisted that we keep going. I still wish that she had just listened to me. As we when further, ran into things that seem like they walked straight out of stories of legend. A spider almost the size of a house descended from the ceiling in one room, and the dead would wake and attack us in others. The final chamber was an amazing room, with a giant wall covered in ancient writing in a language that I have never seen before. It was here that the most curious, and concerning thing happened. I was drawn to the wall. It seemed like the words were calling out to me. I wasn't sure what was happening, then, all of the sudden, I was overcome with a sudden understanding. The words Unrelenting Force rang out in my head. I didn't get the chance to ponder it though, because at the same exact moment, a corpse exploded from it's grave. This one was much stronger that the others, but we were still able to defeat it. It carried the Dragonstone with it. Now that we had the stone, we found our way out of the cave and back to Riverwood, where we are currently going to spend the night. Skyrim is a very differnt place, and I feel as if I am getting pulled into some things that I do not want to be involved with. I wish you all well, and anticipate writing you my next letter, surely there will be good news then.
