“understandable. i mean i don’t hate this place, but it’s not at the top of my list. i always want to be somewhere else, i guess that’s part of the problem i have. ah well who can argue with that? it’s a valid reason.”

“Yeah, sometimes I have a feeling that people enjoy doing that, while I’m on the other end trying to imagine how come some people don’t enjoy reading books… no matter what kind it is.” She was trying to hold her tongue, not to babble. The boy didn’t deserve her to go on and on about everything that was troubling her mind at that point. A small thanks was said after the book was in her possession again. “I read probably more than I eat and that’s saying something,” she chuckled nervously, “I do love to read about the paranormal, for some reason. I guess I just like to believe that once we’re gona we become something more than a lifeless corpse, feeding the ground and then… dust. Besides, I am pretty sure there is something in my apartment, but I can’t quite comprehend what… and I never say this to people, ‘cause when I do, about fifty percent of them looks at me like I’m a crazy person.”
“I really think it just takes too long for some people. These days everyone wants the result within a few minutes. Which is a shame, the journey through a book is the best part. If there’s one thing that stuck with me from being a young kid it’s the book obsession. Though I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t read as often as I would like, especially lately.” He’s always going through something that requires more attention than he’d like to give. “Well if you read more than you eat then you have to know a lot. Which is never a bad thing, I’ve totally said that before so ignore me. That’s always something nice to believe in, I mean that there’s something more to this than being buried in a box The whole having a past life has always interested me, or having another life after this one. Being able to come back as another person or maybe a dog. Well you don’t have to worry about that, I don’t think you’re crazy.”

“Perhaps a little bit more often than I should be proud of,” she admitted, feeling the blush creeping up to her cheeks and tinting her skin with a light shade of red. Not only for falling down, but mostly for spreading out her non-fictional paranormal literature collection, most people looked at her funny after she spoke anything of it. “Have you read it? Actually, just really knowing it is something that makes me surprised, most people aren’t really into non-fictional books, even though it’s name could say that it’s fictional.” She was babbling, of course, she was nervous. Gigi was always nervous around new people.
“There’s nothing wrong with it, especially these days. Though I’m sure there are people who like to talk down about people who enjoy reading a book.” He replied softly, handing over the book. Sober Abel was always someone everyone enjoyed being around, given he was a lot more happier compared to when he was on a binge. Though sober Abel came quickly and often left just as quickly as he came. “You being into paranormal literature shouldn’t matter. I read about half of it before some stuff happened, just never bothered to pick it back up for some reason. I pride myself on reading various things, one could never learn just sticking to on genre.”

her eyes flicked back and forth for a few seconds, trying to figure out if the boy had been speaking to her or another person, before deciding that he was unlikely to be talking to anybody other than her. “basic? that’s a new one. especially coming from a boy who just came from dublin, ireland or is it dublin, ohio that you reign from?”
“you know they say assuming is the worst thing one could do. i don’t recall ever saying i’ve just come from dublin. if i had then i would be in a much more positive mood. i reign from a lot of places, but home base is currently this city which should be changing fairly soon.”

“Considering I don’t answer to you nor anyone else, you won’t see any until I’m good and ready to leave.”

“You’re like the second person to ask me that. Can’t someone bitch about a city and compliment another without needing to be asked that?”

“Dublin? Interesting choice–why Ireland?” Ophelia asked, her head turned slightly to the side.
“I don’t know, been to a lot of places but always come back to Dublin. Guess it made more of an impact than I thought.”

“I suppose it’s more of gamblers city…or I like to imagine it’s a less fantasied version of New York because it’s much more adult.” Blaine insisted, one hand tucked within a pocket while the other made a series of gestures while he spoke. It was incredibly clear that he was no ordinary citizen.
“At least you see where I’m coming from. This place has nothing on New York, I miss that place. Had some great times there, though one did result in me spending a night in the tombs. Not that I’m complaining, I mean do you know how many interesting people you can meet there? I’ll tell ya, it’s more than my parents would have hoped for.”

“I hate to be ‘that guy’, but there’s a lot worse places you could be. As basic as you think it is here. At least you’re not in, like, Cleveland or something.” Eric responded jokingly, in an attempt to brighten his mood. He had tried his best not to sound condescending, although he was fairly certain that he had failed.
“Well that’s just rude, what’s wrong with Cleveland?” Abel questioned before laughter escaped his lips. “Points to you, not many people can get laughter out of me these days.”

“I’ve lived here my whole life so I hate to interrupt,” Carolina began as she heard the man’s angsty words. “There is a lot to do. You have a ton of nightlife things and shows to go to and casinos and more.” She smiled. “Although, I’m sure Dublin has great things.”
“Oh yes, because someone with an addictive personality needs just those things. Casinos and clubs, the perfect combination when you think about it. Then again, it’s also the reason I came to this city, but even the nightlife aspect gets a bit old after a while.”

Tony frowned lightly upon hearing the youngster, looking at him with interest “Well, why aren’t you in Dublin right now if you are tired of this basic city, then?”
“Well that has a simple explanation. I’m trying this whole responsible adult thing, which won’t last but I figured I’d give it a go. So one of the rules is I can’t leave just because I dislike it here at times.”

“I live to torture myself, clearly.”

“never been to dublin,” she admitted. rather sheepishly as dublin was precisely where her both was from. “but i will drink to the sentiment.”
“that’s alright, i mean hopefully you get there one day.” travelling was something abel loved to do. mainly because it was a new party scene, but he also just loved to learn about the country as a whole. “yeah? and why don’t you like this place? everyone i run into thinks it’s the best place on earth.”

“well i’ll admit i’ve never been quite the scholar but i don’t think anyone is that embarrassingly stupid. i’ll give her credit though she presented it with quite a bit of confidence for how shit the fake was.”

Quentin tried to stop himself for laughing out loud so bad, since what was coming out of the other’s mouth seemed so ironic to him. Since Vegas for him really was the complete opposite of basic. “How long have you been here? Give it a few weeks, you’ll get caught up in a mess of some sort, if you’re really looking forward to that. But Dublin is probably prettier, that’s true.”
“A year and some change.” The main problem Abel often had was he simply got bored with a city, especially when the party scene gets old to him. Though he’d rather swallow a crayon before going back home to his parents. “I’m always in a mess, that’s what makes life enjoyable. Dublin is pretty, maybe I just miss the amount of trees I’m used to seeing.”
