Senshi and Souei Adopt Kurai
"Senshi? Is the prince ready?" Souei asked as he signed the last paper for the medical charts. Senshi would give a nod, soon picking up what looked to be a dark gray great white guppy with black and red ombre hair who seemed to be asleep. "Yes," they said looking at Souei, "Shall I take him back?"
Souei gives a nod. "Yes. Just signed the last of the papers so all is good to go," he said. "All right then. I will be back in a bit," they said. "See you in a bit then" he said. Senshi would smirk a bit before kissing his cheek causing Souei to squeak a bit.
Souei huffed as he looked at them. "All right, cheeky," he started, "need to get going before his parents think something else is wrong." Senshi pouts a bit. "You're no fun," they said playfully. "I know, I know," he said, "But we have more work to do once you get back."
Senshi nods before going to leave. "Right. I'll be back soon," they said. Souei nods as he starts working on other things around the clinic. Though neither of them nor the young prince would be aware of what had happened at the prince's home.

Senshi soon noticed there was smoke in the air as they neared the home of the Mimic and Mystic royals. Upon looking up, they stopped as they noticed smoke rising. They frowned as they suddenly had a bad feeling. Slowing down now, they kept their guard up for anything.
Senshi would stop dead in their tracks upon seeing the house engulfed in flames. Holding the prince closer, Senshi couldn't stop a few tears from falling. They looked down at the prince as they heard him coo up at them a bit. Looking back at the house, they knew what they must do.
Taking a more shadowed route, Senshi quickly made their way back to the clinic. They would quickly open the door causing Souei to jump in shock and look back. He would go to say something but stop noticing the tears on Senshi's face and the prince in their arms.
"Senshi?" he started, "what's going on? Why do you still have the prince?" Senshi would go over, gently grab his arm and lead him to a more secluded area of the clinic. Souei followed, looking at his mate with worry. Senshi would take a moment before slowly speaking.
"... They're gone…," they whispered. Souei blinked a couple times before it dawned on him, his eyes widening in shock and fear. "N-No," he stammered, "they can't be…" Senshi could only give a shaky nod in response. Souei took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair.
Looking back at Senshi, he asked, "do you know what happened?" Senshi gave a shake of their head. "All I saw was the house engulfed with flames," they said, gently cradling the guppy in their arms, "no one could have survived whatever happened…"
Souei took a moment to process the information before giving a sigh. "What do you think we should do?" he asked, going to gently pet the prince's head. "Well," Senshi began, "I was thinking that… we could raise him. Keep him safe from whoever took his family…"
Souei thought for a moment before nodding. "I agree," he said, "But we will have to keep his presence a secret in case anyone comes looking for him." Senshi nods, "of course." Souei looks at the prince before gently petting him again, the guppy purring a bit.
"From today on," he started, "you'll be our little one. And when of age, then you will learn the truth." Senshi would nod in agreement. "Until then," they said, "we will take care of you, prince Kurai."
