Something to add:
How can you tell if you are truly treating yourself well versus being self-indulgent or self-centered?
If you are extending the same consideration to others. Not only in how you treat them but in how you support and encourage them to discover and enjoy their own wellness, however that may look for them.
For some, that may mean exercising more and eating more healthy meals. For others, that may mean focusing more on mental health and organizational skills.
Lastly, I would say that when you do truly treat yourself well, you are not as much affected by poor treatment from others because you are already strongly supported. This self-reliance is another reason why it is easier to distance yourself from those who treat you poorly.
You don’t need them. You’re good.
