Well, the sooner this could be resolved the better as far as she was concerned. “Yeah, yeah - they try to hide them but I’ve helped people get to them a few times. So I could direct you there if we move fast.”

      Color him relieved. There was chaos blooming all around them, and honestly, he needed an exit plan as soon a possible. Peter would just have to hope he’d run across Rocket in the process. The other guardian couldn’t be left behind. “By all means, take the lead. I’m not aimin’ to get arrested today.”

      ❝Why do you drink so much? I mean what’s the purpose of       it, really? It may be fun for a while but then you get all sick and       stuff – just seems really gross, to be honest, and not worth the       negative side effects.❞

      She takes the smoothie back, lips placed over the straw to take       another sip of the mango contents; a snort following. 

      ❝How else do you think I keep the galaxy safe?❞

    “Well, sometimes you wanna have a good time.      Other times you wanna forget things. Alcohol’s      a multipurpose. . .uh, tool.”      If he hadn’t been so drunk, he might not have      provided such an honest answer. He shrugs     as if to say ‘no big deal’ and rubs a hand over     his face.      “I thought you could shoot laser beams.”

It began as a whisper in the air.UNEXPECTED and almost stalking. A monstrous cloud, looming above the Falcon in a darkened silhouette. Low growls emitted from the whirlwind. It was terrifying. Wind was picking up, swirling about the branches of trees and those alike. ❝ — looks like a storm is coming. ❞ a low whisper passed her lips, palms outstretched and pressing against the window. As this was said, rain fell in sporadic chaos — droplets, hitting the glass with a ‘tick’ and running along the glass with web formation. Lighting was cracking above their heads, lighting up the sky in an ice-blue hue when the image of a figure came into view. ❝ Oh my FORCE…someone’s out there. ❞

He knew he was in for trouble just at the sight of that storm. Rain started pelting the back of his shoulders and head, but there was little more he could do besides trudge on and curse his partner for leaving Peter STRANDED on this wasteland of a planet as the other hunter went to collect the full reward for himself. This was what happened when you made deals with strangers in shady cantinas. He was almost ready to give up hope of ever seeing civilization again when a faint outline appeared in his vision. “Is that. . .?” A ship? With a quick adjustment to the optics in his helmet, he could see it clearly.  “HEY! HEEEEY!” A hand waved frantically overhead. “SANCTUARY!”

oh. he’s got half a mind to push the meat popsicle off his ship with his own two hands. his ghost is flying around the small compartment space in agitation, cogs whirling, single optic glaring at the intruder. it’s stream of angry words can only be heard by cayde at the moment, but there’s not much nice he’s got to say about the ravager currently taking up space in their cargo hold.

            “ look, you’ve got it all riled up now quill, ”   cayde says, half annoyed and half amused. he folds his arms over his chest, expression growing quite serious.   “ i know what you’re here about. i didn’t steal your money. ”

( doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any suspicions about who did steal it though, but that’s not how this partnership works, now is it? )

    “Well, Tinkerbell can just be riled up. I’ve got bigger problems.” He almost wants to swat that little mechanical thing flying about like a bug, but that won’t earn him any favors. Yes, Peter’s pissed, but he’s not stupid. ( Not wholly anyway. ) But his spoils have vanished and Star Lords cannot live on hopes and wishes, and dreams won’t buy him fuel for the Milano.       “Never said YOU DID, Mr. Defensive.” He knows the exo too well to ever suspect such. They’ve been through too much to come to backstabbing, thieving terms. There’s honor among thieves. . .at least when it comes to these two. “But I’m guessin’ you might have a few ideas.”

☆ interstellarstars summer of 2016 follow forever ☆

               It’s incredible to me that I’ve actually had this blog for three years now. Time passes by so quickly and if I may steal a quote from one of my favorite movies, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.” I have seen so many people on this website take roleplaying too seriously. They feel like it is more of a chore and that we have to act like robots. We’re not that at all. We’re all human beings doing what we love best - writing. We have luckily found an amazing outlet through roleplaying, and we get to do that through wonderful characters television has produced for us. Having an OC is by no means easy. You really have to work to make your character stand out and fit in. It takes some time, but eventually you find your place. After three years I finally realized that I’ve found mine and I couldn’t be more happier being on this blog.

               I’ve met so many impressive people through my blog and I never fail to meet more. You are all so wonderful and talented and sometimes I just sit here behind my computer in complete awe at you. You all have a gift and no matter how much you might doubt yourselves and your writing, you are all great. Don’t put yourselves down, and don’t let anyone put you down. If any of you ever want to talk or get to know me, my ask & im are always welcome and I love meeting new people. I want to do a quick shout out to the Khan blog that I used to write with who suddenly deactivated their blog. You might not ever read this, but just know that I miss you and hope to write with you again someday! And another shout out to Rii, Gimli, & Tess, who I love dearly and wouldn’t be the same without. That goes for both me & Anna.

     “Suuure, and I’m Captain America.” But she can make all the excuses she wants as long as she keeps laying on the sugar like that. He’s gotten a little fond and weak about the knees, too. Doesn’t take a genius to see that. “What do you say we hit up Xandar tonight? I don’t think they’ll arrest me on sight. I did save the galaxy once.”

      I was gonna do this when I hit my four year anniversary on this blog but that’s like two weeks away and I wanted to do this now. I’ve had some ups and downs on this blog ( being from an extremely small fandom ) but through that I have met some amazing people who have made my time here worth it. I’m shitty with words but you have no idea how much I appreciate you guys being here and giving me the chance to write a character I love so very deeply. So whether or not you’ve been around since I made this blog years ago or you are newcomers who just followed me last night – I love you and I’m glad you decided to click that follow button for whatever reason. You’re all such talented people and I hope we’ll have lots of fun writing together in the future. If I forgot anybody I’m terribly sorry, I love you all. <3

     His eyebrows raised in interest. What she said---it was true. Mostly good intentions aside, it didn’t stop him from being a thief. He’d be more at home here among the other ruffians and rogues who were regulars at this particular bar. “You know, it’s usually me buying the drinks, but. . .I’m not complaining.” A grin pulled at his lips, and he leaned in, making his order with the bartender. “So. . .” The word lingered for a moment, and he gave her a sideways glance. “. . .you got more trouble in mind for tonight?”

    Somehow, just somehow..Atieno is fairly doubtful of that claim. “In that case, it’d probably be useful to know what is…responsible then.” If not this man the cause, then what, how? And why was she always dragged into these situations. It didn’t really help things - the noise of guards are alarming. Atieno gets dragged along to some alcove where she manages to catch a breathe and get a better look at this strange person.

“Well. Sure. I’ll be glad to not share that I saw you. But. What the hell were you even doing here is ..useful info at the very least.”

       “I MIGHT be busting a friend out of custody.” There was no might about it. These goons had managed to nab Rocket, and while one could almost bet on the explosives expert to find his own way out, Peter wouldn’t leave another Guardian behind despite the dangers it posed. “And I’m guessin’ that explosion was him making his exit, so . . .” He shrugged casually. “You happen to know where they keep escape pods around here?”
