Friendly ableist reminder: If a person says that they have anxiety, they’re really just shy! Don’t hesitate to tell them that every single time they come to you for advice on how to do with a social situation!

Why do more people not understand that your child having a panic attack affects /you/ and now you can’t even vacuum the house when the dog is around in case you set another one off.
(satire)
remember that taking away someone's cane (or other mobility aid) to test them to see if they really need it is valid! we cant have those disability fakers in our world! what do you mean she needs that to walk? no she doesnt!
(satire)
telling your kid with a diagnosed, incurable chronic illness that they can fix themselves just by doing more exercise is not only valid but totally correct! its not like they are overwhelmed with an incredible amount of pain whenever they exercise! theyre just too lazy and stupid to get better!
(satire)
Remember kiddos it's totally okay to point out people with speech impediments, or repeat what they say, it's only making sure they know how they sound like. It's also super okay to interrupt to correct them and to give a quick crash corse on speaking normally in the middle of a conversation
(satire)
If you refuse to put your child on adhd medication because you think they just need to "try harder": You. Are. Valid.
(satire)
Fellow ableists! If you call yourself "pet autistic" because you dont understand people liking pets you are valid! If someone gets offended by it, like your self dx autistic child, they're just being oversensitive!
(satire)
If someone has a rarely heard of neurological disorder (cough nvld cough) and have done extensive research and know that it is placed on the autism spectrum by most spectrum specialists, make sure to tease them about their autistic traits and use the r/slur around them constantly, then say you didn't mean to and that it was an accident when called out on it. (also, if you don't know what nvld is, its basically aspergers + spacial relations issues and hyperverbality)

(wait thats a thing? wait thats a thing!? :O i gotta look into that bc that’s me as hell thank u v much -- mod sky)
If you tell your child they're being over dramatic for having a panic attack you !! are !! valid !! (This actually happened to my sister and you'd think my mom would understand cause she has panic attacks ??????)
(satire)
remember to always call out and make fun of those with speech problems! they love it when you repeat the word they messed up.
(satire)
if someone tells you that they’re mentally ill, remember to give your input! tell them to exercise, eat better, and spend less time online. they’ll appreciate the tips!
(satire)
Not considering a persons mental disability when trying to help is valid. They shouldn’t let their disabilities hold them back! 😇
(satire)
Your kid having a panic attack in a pool?? Ignore them and tell your friend (who makes them terribly uncomfortable) to fix it!! Call your child a control freak months later for this incident!!!
(satire)
reminder, if you're a teacher and you have a student in your class with autism or a sensory processing disorder, you don't need to go out of your way to make school a safe place for them! don't be afraid to go after them, degrade them and treat them like the burdens they are! they need to suck it up and deal, if they have a meltdown they're being babies! ableism for the win, people just need to learn how to survive in the real world!
9satire)
If you wear a shirt that says "cute but psycho" and get upset when people tell you that you shouldn't wear it YOU ARE VALID!!
(satire)
friendly reminder that you are SO BRAVE for being VISIBLY ABLEIST! you're doing us all a FAVOR!

Shout out to my dad telling me "you're using your ADHD as an excuse for everything (memory issues, short attention span, fidgetting, doing poorly in school BC hellbrain, etc)" and "you just don't care!" "Just do it, it's that easy" wow dad you sure cured me!!! Jk, I'm super fucked up now because of you speaking over my hardships with ADHD because you thought you had the right simply because you could multitask and inherently thought that alone meant u had ADHD!!! Go fuck yourself!! 😁💕❤💕❤
