It's been one of those days time to watch Ride the Cyclone while doing homework
And I couldn't relate more 🙏
the us has a strong education problem. That’s one of the main reasons I wish to go to school in another country, I’ll learn. In the us everything is competitive, why can’t we just focus on what we need to? Grades should be for who’s at top, it should be for seeing who can do what and giving people help where they struggle or giving people harder things to do in things they don’t struggle with. Physical education shouldn’t be focused on winning, it should be focused on teaching kids on how to be healthy so that they don’t contribute to the obesity problem (not saying over weight people are bad I’m saying that obesity has MANY health problems no one should have normally) orrr eating disorders. It should put us in a mindset that even if we fail we aren’t horrible, we are just challenged more than others in that subject. So giving punishment for someone trying their best yet failing shouldn’t happen. Also make it more fun! Have more hands on activities! Pretty sure a study said students learn more with hands on things than reading or hearing it! And if a kid doesn’t understand anything, GIVE THEM RESOURCES TO HELP GOD!!! My algebra teacher last year was the BEST because it was hands on, 95% of the time not on a computer (only for testing that was required it was on a computer) and she would stay however long she had to to help with tutoring after school instead of having a set end time. Sure she gave us a lot of homework but we were a fucking grade ahead and an honors advanced so yeah I need this homework. Meanwhile my English teacher last year was asssss but I’m to lazy to explain rn. Anyway sorry for the rant
:D (there’s this one teacher at my school, and while I don’t have any classes with him this year because he doesn’t teach my grade, I’ll have classes with him next year and I still have plenty of opportunity to talk to him outside of class. Anyways I digress. HE’S SO COOL, definitely queer somehow, I know based off of vibes and he has at least one rainbow heart sticker on his laptop. And I was in his classroom for a little bit today and he CALLED ME A NONBINARY MONARCH IM SO HAPPY ABOUT IT. Like actually dying I’m sososoosoo happy because of it)
We’re on our way to our high school graduation and it’s making us think about our alterhuman awakening back in freshman/sophomore year
Back then we were in a rough spot and weren’t even sure if we were gonna make it through the year. Discovering our alterhumanity and this community was one of the main things that got us out of our depression and has helped us deal with it since.
And here we are now, accepted to an honors college and about to officially graduate. Comfortably draconic and plural, and planning on being at least somewhat open about it once we’re there.
I guess this is our way of showing to the world (at least here on tumblr) that we alterhumans and nonhumans can and do succeed in life. My classmates have no clue that they’re graduating alongside dragons and other creatures and beings in our system, but we’re here. We exist, and so does every other alterhuman out there working their way through whatever stage of life they’re at.
Sorry if this is worded weird; we didn’t really plan this post out or anything lol
I can't think of a meme better suited than how I act at school.
