Fiyero hadn’t let Elphaba go even after all of Oz turned on her, and he wouldn’t start now. The prince loved the witch and that was all that mattered to him. He kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her even tighter. In the back of his mind, he wondered ‘what now?’ But as long as Elphaba was with him, come whatever the world had in store, they could and would face it together. Her words were true though: she had never put much stock in her appearance, instead, she chose to beautify her mind and that was what Fiyero found most beautiful about her. It was true, he believed with his whole heart that she was beautiful green, and now, not green but he first fell for her mind. The rest came later. “Do you have a home here?” He’d just arrived and wasn’t sure where he was supposed to go.
“We have a home here,” she answered, implying she’d been expecting - or at the very least, hoping - that he would be joining her. Elphaba let her hands find his, lightly squeezing as she took a step back while maintaining that small bit of contact. “Come on, I’ll show you our new place. I haven’t done much in the way of decorating, but I made one of the spare rooms into a small library. I thought if you or Glinda ever arrived, one of you could help me with the rest. I love you both, but I’m glad you beat her here. Pink and frills aren’t really my thing, and I’m pretty sure that’s the direction she would’ve gone with. That and glitter.”
