Folks we are very pleased to announce we have a super couple Tomi and Cristel from Nottingham coming over this Friday to teach a Bachata class. Its going to be a cracking night ! Please read their bio below.

A rescheduled evening for fun and dancing with the Absolute Salsa team and our Super Guests Tomi and Cristel. They’ll be teaching a fab Bachata class at 8:15 followed then a demo later in the evening and dancing till Midnight. We’re expecting no weather hold ups so this event will definitely take place !

Raised in Cyprus, Christel started her dance career at the mere age of 6. Professionally trained by coaches from all over the world, she quickly moved on to preform at the Cyprus Salsa Congress and competed at the Cyprus WSDF Championship, placing first for three consecutive years. With dancing in her blood, she progressed as a coach, instructor & choreographer for competitive couples around the UK. With her authentic style, technique and movement, she has preformed in multiple salsa showcases, competed in Latin Championships all over the UK and is the current first place champion in the cities of Manchester, Sheffield and London as well as winning the UK Northern Latin Championship.

Tomas was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the home of Tango and started his dance formation at a very young age. His passion for dance and music carried on as he moved to Miami at the age of 10, at the ‘heart’ of Latin music creators and dance schools where he learnt old school Bachata and Salsa and developed as a dance instructor. He has been teaching all over the world ever since. His passion and dedication for both these Latin rhythms leave an unmistakable impression wherever he teaches, dances or performs.

Tomas & Christel met at the beginning of 2017. With their fusion of rhythm and passion, they have gone on to build their dance company, Tropical Empire, with which they have preformed, danced and taught Salsa & Bachata together all over the UK ever since.
