Adrian appreciated the sentiment, their carapace thrumming fondly when Grace moved to pull his quilt over their appendages. Adrian warmed at the thought of Grace sharing his prized possession with them—the patchwork quilt a gift from his students on Earth.

They wondered then if they could make some equivalent with the pebbles. Friend Grace would most certainly be pleased.

I use Procreate for all of my digital stuff, but it’s mainly for coloring sketches that were done in my sketchbook. I just scan the sketch and then color from there as shown below:
