hi howdy hello i wanted to hop on here to make a few boundaries known because it seems now it may be a little necessary to do so. i am here to have fun and while i am having fun, there are some blogs exhibiting traits and behaviors that make me uncomfortable being here. its boundary time.

i understand casteism/troll racism or whatever the hell you want to call it is an important and canon facet of homestuck and especially alternian culture. in fact, this as an isolated subject isnt something that really bothers me. its a part of the scene. however, it often gets exaggerated to an excessive and highly uncomfortable degree that makes it hard to want to participate with a good chunk of the blogs on here.

to be clear: casteism is its own thing, but i absolutely refuse to be the butt of someone else's power play and to be demeaned if i stand up for myself (in or out of character), especially given that some are far too comfortable/too into taking casteism on this site too far.

if you take things too far for me, i am absolutely willing and will discuss it privately with you. but if i reach out to inform you "hey that was a bit much" or that i am uncomfortable and you consistantly continue to exhibit behaviors that caused the issue, i will block you. i am completely okay with cutting people's access to rp-ing with me if it means i get to have my peace and continue having fun here.

luckily im in a position where i havent had (much) personal experience that is spurring this on, but i am absolutely going to be enforcing this moving foward.

theres a difference between canon compliant negativity and generally being not fun to rp with/poorly masked bigotry. i dont enjoy it when my lowblood characters are told that theyre worthless just because theyre lowbloods, and when my highblood characters are told theyre the worst oppressive force known to man just because theyre highbloods.

Verify the person's respiration, circulation, and airway, and start CPR and rescue breathing if needed.

Treat the patient as though they had a spinal injury if their breathing and heart rate are normal, but they are unconscious. Putting your hands on both sides of the person's head will help to stabilize their head and neck.

Avoid movement and maintain the head's alignment with the spine. Stay like this until medicull assistance arrives.

If there is blood, applying pressure with a clean towel to the wound can stop the bleeding, unless there seems to be a fracture in the skull.

Take extra care not to move the person's head if the damage is severe, and don’t even remove the first bandage if blood seeps through it. Cover the first cloth with another fresh bandage.

Do not clean out any debris from the wound or apply direct pressure to the bleeding location if you think they may have a skull fracture.

If they are vomiting or about to vomit, in order to avoid choking, roll the person's head, neck, and body together onto their side while supporting their head and neck.

If the wound is minor:

Before you try to stop the bleeding: Wash your hands well with soap and water (if available).

If treating another person's wound, put on disposable gloves, if you have them, before applying pressure to the wound. If gloves are not available, use several layers of fabric or plastic bags between your hand and the wound. Use your bare hands to apply pressure only as a last resort.

Remove any visible objects from the wound. Do not attempt to clean out the wound.

Press firmly on the wound with gauze, a clean cloth, or the cleanest material available. If knowing you aren't alone helpsss, my sssituation wasss a little different, but ssstill very tricky. The artifact I encountered wasss a ring and, upon putting it on, I'd pretty much get blasssted by the thoughtsss/emotionsss of anyone I touched. I'm ssstill figuring out the kinksss, but I'm getting a better hold on it (which hasss involved me being more vulnerable and honessst etc...? Go figure, I sssuppose.) It would give me migrainesss ssso bad I'd want my thinkpan (human brain, I believe) sssurgically removed if I wasss in the sssame room asss another perssson.

It may be tough at firssst, but I am certain you'll be alright... And for the daysss you aren't, I'm sssure there are plenty of people who would like to sssupport you, if you let them.
