I want to be alone because I don’t ever want to feel so lonely again. Meeting new people, having new friends- it doesn’t change the fact that I’ll always long for the old and be frightened of the new.

I don’t love you.

I repeat that to myself like a mantra because I can’t possibly love you when I hate myself so very much.

And I’m trying, to love myself and let go of you, because I don’t want to hate you too.

If I end up hating you, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to love myself.

And it’s so scary, but it’s so damn true.

So just don’t fall in love with me, I am not worth it and I’m just wasting your time, like I do with everyone else. I use you to make me happy because you make happy feel like the highest high and when I don’t have your happy I end up in a low, so just give me time to recover from you because you turned into some kind of addiction. 

This is why I was so afraid of being happy, but you made me feel like there was nothing to be afraid of. So thank you, but I need to learn to fly on my own. Maybe one day I’ll come back and we can fly together, but for now, just let me go.
