For over two weeks, we have been tormented by hunger in Gaza amidst a complete lack of flour, water, food, and even basic hygiene supplies. I have three children, the youngest of whom is 9 years old and suffers from a wheat allergy. He needs special flour to survive. I cannot describe the pain I feel as I watch them cry from unbearable hunger, their small bodies growing weaker with each passing day, their faces reflecting stories of thirst and dehydration.

Life here lacks all essentials. We do not have the basic necessities of life, nor the urgent healthcare services that we desperately need. These dire circumstances are particularly severe for my son, who suffers from hepatitis. His condition worsens day by day, and he urgently needs treatment that is not available here. The only hope for his recovery is to receive treatment outside of Gaza.

Additionally, my beloved wife Dina is also suffering. She is currently pregnant and suffering from a serious condition known as preeclampsia. This requires specialized medical care and a cesarean section, but there is no hospital here equipped to provide the necessary care. I fear for her life and the life of our unborn baby due to the severe shortage of medical services, the lack of clean and safe food and water, and the absence of a safe and sanitary place to stay.

Moreover, my thirteen-year-old son and I endured another ordeal when we were captured by the military. We were subjected to a month of torture. After our release, I carried physical injuries and bruises, while my son suffers from severe psychological trauma as a result of the captivity.

Therefore, I appeal to everyone with compassion and humanity to help me and my family leave Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. We urgently need to relocate to a place where we can access the necessary medical care and the safety that we desperately lack here.

In Gaza, where life has become unbearably difficult, I was six months pregnant. My joy at expecting a child was immense, as I saw in my unborn baby a glimmer of hope amidst the overwhelming darkness surrounding us. But that joy was short-lived, as the harsh conditions we live in, coupled with the severe lack of medical services, robbed me of that dream.💔💔

It all started when our suffering intensified, and we were forced to flee multiple times from Khan Younis. We fled from danger, searching for a safe place, but fear followed us wherever we went. I never felt secure, and my body ached with every step we took away from our home. I endured it all for my unborn child, clinging to the hope of seeing them born into a better world, but day by day, that hope slipped further from my grasp.💔😭

The displacement wore me down. My body could no longer bear the strain, and the child I was carrying couldn’t endure it either. One dark night, I felt an unbearable pain and realized I was losing my baby, losing them to all the suffering we had endured. I tried to hold on, to fight the pain, but fate was stronger than me. My baby came too soon, too weak to survive everything we had been through.

Today, I live in a tent with my family, facing a new chapter of hardship that adds to our already deep wounds. The tent that shelters us offers little protection from the cold or heat, only amplifying our sense of despair. I lost my baby, and with them, a piece of my heart. Now, I sit in this tent, looking up at the sky, wondering if the days ahead will bring something better or if this suffering will remain our constant companion.

All I have left are memories—memories of displacement and of the child who never got to see the light of day. And with each new day, I continue to fight to survive, to move past the pain, and to hold on to the faint hope that one day, this suffering will finally end.
