“I say Sora because it means ‘Sky’, its a really popular name back from where my family came from. Maru was a pudgy little guy, but he was a hairless cat. He got sick and died about four months ago.”

Kiki snorted, shrugging her shoulders. “Thats more common than you’d think though- people telling me they only know Japanese from stuff like that.”

“It must sound so typical,” Zacharie said with a wide smile, able to jab at himself comfortable. “About as typical as Anglophones and their obsession with the word baguette.”

“Yeah, people like to latch onto basic words, right?” she hummed. “I know like- bare bone basic French. But time just eludes me to actually do anything further with it.”

“I know, work gets so swamping, doesn’t it? I’ve only ever learned Japanese besides English- but it was more of a family standard.”

“Thats cause he doesn’t. I just have a habit of liking to have stuff done early and sometimes over do it. One sleepless night doesn’t equal overworking.”
