how does Mimic work?

In Prey (2017)'s original lore there are only a few theories (where that creature is from basically (feel free to look it up because I cant really explain those)) but I like to headcanon it as It shapes its body into the desired item/creature then somehow??? mimic its colours too like a chameleon if it decides to. Probably makes 0 sense but hey, not even the original mimic has confirmed explanations to its ability sssoooooo "<w<

What's the fastest (and shittiest) you can doodle a slugcat

Uhhhhhhhhh I'll try tomorrow, I just slammed myself into bed

Wait like absolute shittiest or atleast an okay-ish doodle

Really shitty would be a few lines in a few seconds, the other would be like uhhh.. maybe 5 minutes if I dont get distracted by ANYTHING

But again, will try it tomorrow (how did I not make a single typing mistake, I can barely stay awake-)

First time using the record function, oops But here, have nearly all of them scugs as fast as I could (total around 7? minutes, the recorder doesnt count it QwQ) that's still somewhat recognisable xD
