dont get me wrong i love the filler spn episodes but i feel like they missed so many chances of making some really fun ones like;

- gender-bent spell and the chaos that comes with it

- sam + dean switching bodies

- cas POV and what he gets up to without the boys around

- a casual day at the bunker, random monster fights and domestic vibes included

- a spell revealing cas’s angel wings/true form

- how team free will 2.0 deal with father’s day

- a surprise birthday to a certain somebody, probably dean

- someone sneaking in a stray animal and trying to make it the bunker’s pet

- cas and dean pretending to be a couple for a case, bonus points if jack is their son

- beach episode!!

- sam’s POV of a destiel spat and him trying to figure it out detective style with assistant jack

- the boys take cas shopping for clothes other than a suit and trenchcoat

- somebody gets turned into a baby/animal

- teaching jack how to do regular things with cas also probably learning as well

- cas’s first time being arrested

- sam + mary’s day out actually bonding

- jack calling tfw ‘dad’ for the first time + their parental moments with him

- cas finally gets a room at the bunker, even though he doesn’t sleep

- dealing with dean’s alcohol ‘problem’

- sam finally crashing out after dean does a little too much

- the boys finding out how the men of letters figured out angel handcuffs and some more unpleasant stuff that they try to hide from the resident angel

- cas and jack figuring out christmas

- the chores list

- ‘how to not be a dick all the time and apologize’ a book by dean michael winchester

- honestly any episode where tfw actually talk about their issues with eachother

- teaching your half-angel son angel customs and instincts

I don’t think season 6 is my least favorite season of supernatural but every time I rewatch it it becomes more apparent how much it should be about cas and isn’t until the last quarter. like the cw hated him so bad which made him both the best character ever written and the biggest well of untapped narrative potential that has ever and will ever exist
