New hobby: Calligraphy!

This has been something that I’ve wanted to do for a really long time. I love art, I enjoy design and I like lettering. I doodle and draw but I don’t think I’m very good at it.. Lol one problem is that my hands are super sweaty(haha eww sorry) and really shaky. Another is that I get really frustrated because of the first reason. Haha 😂

There are so many posts online of amazing calligraphy pieces and I was always (still am) so envious if their work. One day my frustration was answered. I saw a post on Facebook about a calligraphy workshop in my hometown and I knew I had to attend the workshop.

I was determined and I wanted to learn. This was it! Thanks to Ms. Cielo of Calligraprints, I feel like I can develop the skills and actually be proud of my work.

I feel like I have improved since the first day of the workshop, but as you can see I still have a long way to go. 😊

The rear camera of the OPPO A57 is super clear (13MP) as it captures colors nicely especially under natural light. The photo quality is amazing thanks to the auto focus feature which brings out the all the details in each picture. I don’t have a sample photo but if the rear camera is clear, the front camera is much better with 16MP. Using this phone’s camera is just as good or even better than using a digital camera or even an SLR.

Zoo Cafe

If you’re looking for an instagram-worthy place to hang out, you might want to try Zoo Cafe in Makati. It is a Korean cafe with a jungle theme, so expect to have some company since there are several stuffed toys around. We actually sat with a panda! Lol

The cafe is located on the ground floor of Alphaland Makati Place. It wouldn’t be hard to find since there’s a huge giraffe in front. 😂

The cafe serves a selection of drinks such as coffee, tea and smoothies as well as food like pasta, pastries and desserts.

Sidenote: next time we’ll try the bingsu! Sadly I don’t have a picture, but the serving is huge! Photos were taken using the OPPO A57 No edits done! #NoFilter needed for pictures taken on this phone as its 13MP camera takes amazing photos indoors and outdoors (even at night!). The panorama feature of the camera is stable and allows you to take clear wide angle shots without any difficulty.

Japan pt.2

Last February, we had our company outing in Japan. We stayed in Yuzawa for 4 days and extended our stay in Tokyo for 2 days. Within that week, we experienced the cold snowy days in the country side as well as the sunny days in the city. Here are a few pictures to summarize our trip.

Disney Sea, Tokyo

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The room was compact but complete with a tiny bathroom, mini fridge, tv and bathrobes. Many convenience stores are nearby and is walking distance from Ueno Station.

A trip to Japan wouldn't be complete without going to the Pokemon Megacenter! This is located at the Sunshine City Mall.

...and just like that, our trip was over. Until next time Japan! 🇯🇵

Japan pt.1

Our home in Yuzawa! Just imagine a creepy house in those Japanese horror movies..but less creepy. (Kind of! Lol)

We were able to try skiing, snowshoe hiking and riding a snow mobile. Favorite activity:snow mobile of course!

It was snowing alot during our stay there but we were able to have a barbecue outside. And we also picked strawberries!
