Creature fic, 8th year, RxS: Ron reached his majority, and turns out Severus' inheritance kicks in. He wakes up, only to find his senses heightened and whiskers twitching on his face. He inspects himself and finds that he's half-human, half-cat (which parts depends on you). He glamours himself and pushes himself to teach. It goes well, and he finds that his heightened senses help in the classroom. Until his 8th year class enters and he feels heat cover every inch of himself. Ron's staring at him.

Ron and Severus are fellow wizards who did not want to get back into fights and brawls yet they're the first who are added into the new compulsory Auror-Efficiency Programme where one wixen who are physically-strong and another who is proficient with potions are a team. The Ministry has started making new Time Turners that reach even farther back in the past. On one mission, Snape gets amnesia and is mistaken for a muggle Prince(ss?). Mistaken-for-Sheriff-of-Nottingham Ron has to remind Sev and take him home.

Ron/Severus? HELL yes!

The Half Blood Prince's annotated potions textbook is sentient in the same way canon!Tom Riddle's diary was. Conversely, the diary was just a bunch of 'RECIPES FOR WORLD DOMINATION' and alternative names Tom tried out for himself (each more cringey than the last).

Remus Lupin/Lily Evans

PB: Remus knows his best friend has a crush on Lily Evans. It's not his fault they are both Prefects and partners in Potions. He didn't ask for her concern regarding his scars, recurring "illness" and absence from classes, and all around gloomy behavior. He's afraid to let her in and see the real him.

But when Lily discovers his "secret" thanks to a certain Slytherin, he was not expecting the level of acceptance and care she offered him.

Remus is left with a difficult task: telling James.

Fleur Delacour & Ginny Weasley [Gen]

PB: Ginny stays with Bill and Fleur during the summer after the Battle of Hogwarts. Between her official break up with Harry and the loss of her brother, she wanted to be anywhere but the Burrow.

Hesitant to take Bill up on his offer, Ginny wasn't sure how well she could handle Fleur for extended lengths of time. Little did she know the two of them had much more in common than she realized.

PB: Neville knocks over his cauldron in Potions class and singes Draco's robes. Even though he has plenty of gold for new ones, he makes Neville "pay his debt" by being his personal attendant (or maybe slave?) for a month.

PB: Aberforth teaches a mixology / bartending "Master Class" and takes and enthusiastic Blaise on at the Hog's Head. Blaise helps Aberforth bring the pub into the twenty-first century - becoming one of the most popular establishments in Hogsmeade.

Harry Potter/Ron Weasley

PB: When Harry kisses Ginny in the middle of the Gryffindor common room, something snaps in Ron. What he initially thought was the fury of a protective older brother, soon becomes the jealousy of a man in love with his best friend...who was in love with his sister.

Hermione notices he has been acting off and confronts him. When he's honest about his feelings to Harry, Hermione is heartbroken, but she understands. When Ron begins to pull away from him, Harry gets PTSD of fourth year when Ron stopped talking to him.

Determined to fix whatever was wrong between them, Harry begs Ron to tell him what was wrong. When Ron kisses him, everything becomes clear...

PB: Hermione finds the Half-Blood Prince's copy of Advanced Potion Making - not Harry. At first, she is frustrated by all of the annotations and ignores them. Eventually, she becomes curious and finds they are indeed improvements. She continues the HBP's work and soon the book is covered in Hermione's careful scrawls alongside Severus'.

PB: Hogwarts AU - Lucius and Arthur are the same year in school.

Lucius is failing Muggle Studies. Arthur is assigned to tutor him (or perhaps the only volunteer). The hyper, Muggle-obsessed Arthur is too much for the cold and aloof Lucius. As they spend more time together, Lucius slowly warms up to the other boy. When his grade improves and the tutoring comes to an end, he needs another excuse to spend time with the boy...
